@JohnnyThor I don't really see it that way and this may sound a little biased but Filipinos haven't accomplished many "amazing" things known to Americans. African-americans, and Hispanics have come to raise to fame in the U.S. and there hasn't been a filipino that has been able to acheive that, and since Charice is getting there they're obviously really happy about it.

@JohnnyThor wow, how old are you & how educated? Because at least in American history there was a WHOLE MOVEMENT of "Black Power" and concept of "Black is Beautiful" in the 60s/70s! Have you ever heard of Spike Lee or Louis Farrakhan? How is being proud of your CULTURE & PEOPLE being racist? Especially when it's not used in a way indicating superiority? How is different than celebrating St.Patrick's Day? Stereotypes about Asians haven't changed as much as those of Black or Latinos in America.

@JohnnyThor I'm black and I hear black people sayting, 'I'm proud to be black' all the time. More often the quote is, "I'm black and I'm proud". So no, Filipinos saying they're proud to be Filipino is not overly used.

Gharice is the best up and coming female singer. She has a multi-talented voice that just wont quit ! David Foster, after my following him and his talent, IS the best songwriter, arranger, composer, producer and pianist in one man that there will ever be!!!

Very nice singing..but she has to be a little more careful as she tends to go off pitch by a few chromas...not a whole lot...i think it's due to nervousness,..but great job any how.

maybe tiredness--i heard this show was done early in the morning and david, charice, and the rest just had a concert the night before. so that's why she went off on that one pitch there..

Does anyone noticed? CBS is trying to be too PC by not mentioning the artist name without excluding all the other foster friends. By playing too safe, it will limit their viewers here, and hence thier ratings.

Sorry- don't know who Charice is...was she on American Idol or something like that because she seems like that kind of an artist and I only heard three words clearly and a lot of up and down the scales to cover. I'm not that easily impressed with mediocre talent...good luck to her.
