  • come on guys, be serious, that's just another good facial dunk.

  • Facial .....

  • 2nd best pg in suns history!

  • he was like "hello" then "goodbye"

  • To my fellow Knick fans who insist Starks "dunked on Jordan." THIS is dunking ON someone. Jordan barely contesting, unfortunately, isn't being dunked on by anyone.

  • KJ was underrated- definitely a top 15 point guard of all time. One of only 3 players IN NBA HISTORY to average 20 points and 10 assists in 3 consecutive seasons ( Oscar Robertson & Isiah Thomas were the other two). Magic is the only other player to do it 3 times in his career, but not in a row.

  • Haha crazy. Best thing about it is Hakeem saw it was coming and had time to prepare.

  • @oldmanwithers1 not really the other guy missed his help side defence

  • its so bad ass that he's the mayor of my city!! KJ!

  • #14? This should be top 5!!!! I remember seeing this live. If you seen kj dunk 10 times that's alot. To dunk it on the dream..... priceless. Its one of those unforgettable moments.

  • NO, we were saying WOW, it sure is nice having two Championship Rings.

    Houston 2 Rings

    Phoenix 0 Rings

  • @hollywd966 no we weren't lol. Houston fans are classy.

  • The commentators voice as he notes "KEVIN JOHNSON!" is great. :)

  • Only #14? This dunk should be on every NBA top 5 dunks list!

  • @Dogfacesoulja8582 its good but not what your making it

  • i don't and wi;; never understand Y this DUNK never make the top 10 list.........SMDH

  • looks like baron davis on andrei kirilenko...

  • And that dunk was on a Defensive Player of the Year!!

  • this guy is my mayor!!!

  • great dunk to remember, but what i do remembe is the rockets beating the suns though and the rockets won back to back. not a rocket fan. a laker fan. that dunk is awesome but it should of been awesome if suns beat the rockets.

  • My favorite player of all time!!!! To bad he sucks as a person.

  • i have the smae birthday as kj

  • don't mess with the mayor, dream

  • Thnk u score commentator guy

  • "Look up Kevin Johnson dunks on Hakeem Olajuwon, you won't be disappointed" - The Score And here I am, not disappointed.

  • Like this if "The Score" sent you here

  • The score brought me here haha great dunk

  • As someone who went to 20-some-odd Suns games a year growing up I'd have to say this was one of the most awesome moments I've ever witnessed. The roof blew off the building! And, it's not like KJ dunked all that often, either.

  • @cousinwil youre right about dunking. he instead perfected the NBA's most looked-over shot in all of basketball.....the lay up. I just love his intensity. Oh yeah he also played defense....

  • Hakeem was my favorite center of all time but I always thought KJ was underrated and I loved watching him play as well, disgusting dunk over the best shotblocker in NBA history.

  • know i realize.........if KJ would be the go2guy of the phoenix....they would be the champs......and the 90's would be known.....the Phoenix Suns era

  • @abuevamonster

KJ was an amazing player, but when MJ was at his best, no one could beat him.

  • it is rare to see PG dunking on a C, especially being the best shotblocker of all time. What makes it even better, is the fact, Olajuwon saw him coming and had time to gather himself!!!!! In your face! KJ#7, one of my favorite players of all time!!!!

  • Did they say that was #14?

  • FuShengAlex: during the 92-96 years yes phoenix were tough on the

Rockets, but their biggest threat were the sonics. Remember in 93 houston lost to the sonics and in 96 houston was swept by sonics. Houston was fortunate that they did not meet Seattle during their title years or they would not have won anything.

  • As a Rockets fan I must say despite facing the great Centers (Shaq,DRob,Ewing) and PF`s (Karl Malone and Barkley twice) during the title years, 6`1`` tall KJ was the guy that was the biggest threat to our title aspirations and gave us THE most problems both years ....we simply had no answer for him, especially Dream on this play, lol. In `95 Game 7 he scored 46 pts in a losing effort.

  • @Rocky632156 You're the idiot, dumbfuck! Hakeem Olajuwon is 6' 11", not 7'. How do I know this? I read his autobiography "Living the Dream." Reading - you should try it sometime. Ooh, 1 inch away from 7'. Who cares? He was the best center of his era. That's all that matters.

  • I luv it...KJ is one of the best PG ever to play the game.....He played with a big heart..and feared no one.....The Dream got served....HAHA!!!!!

  • Around 1994/5 we used to get some American programs about NBA, I think they were called "NBA Inside-out" or something like that. They used to have few minute breaks between their reports where they showed highlights of various games. I can clearly remember this dunk being shown loads of loads of times and the commentator shouting "in your face" on top of the music. I can remember the music too. Can't find anything about those programs now though for some reason :(

  • this dunk was effing SICK. thanks for posting it

  • Hakeem is top 5 centers ever, but damn that was nasty!

  • I'll never forget the day it happend. i was on my way to school nigga and I'm liike thirty now.

  • amazing dunk. reminiscent to ''the dunk'' by John Starks in the 1993 ECF game 2 on Horace Grant & Michael Jordan (in the background)

  • im proud to live in sacramento with kevin johnson being the mayor :)

  • Great speech at Royce hall UCLA graduation!

  • This is one of the ILLEST dunks ever! Hakeem had his chance and he got BASHED ON!

I'm tired of people talking about dunks where the opposing player did not jump. You know what... if the opposing player doesn't leave the ground YOU BETTER DUNK!

  • KJ had some serious ups!

  • Kevin who? whatever happened to this guy after like 94 or 95? But he damn near was able to get his elbow thru if he was a lil taller.

  • COME INTO MY POSTER! !...COME INTO MY POSTER!! lmao

i'm a LAKER fan but that Posterizing was SICK & just nasty! in a good way OK :)

  • This dunk ranks up there with Jordan's dunk on Ewing. (IMO)

  • sikatriz2, I love basketball. I am simply 5'6 and I can dunk! I simply took this training workout at 50 inch vertical (dot) com - anyone can do it

  • #VIDEOPOSTERID# I'm 5 6 and I am able to fancy windmill dunks. Honestly, anyone can do it, just follow the right training program. I recommend the workout training at (50 inch vertical [dot] com) but any workout could be used if you are sure they work

Kevin Johnson (KJ) slams over Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon

  • 2nd Best EVER

  • most memorable, if not the best in-game dunk i've ever seen. stuffing it in hakeem's grill in a playoff game IS NO JOKE! especially for someone giving up almost a foot in height.

  • @thwipp ... late in the fourth quarter, too.

  • #VIDEOPOSTERID#, this video reminds me of why I love basketball, along with all the ankle breakers. If you can't dunk yet, you need to start training. I highly advise you to try the one I'm using - | 50 inch vertical [dot] com | - I m 5 7 and I can dunk!

Kevin Johnson (KJ) slams over Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon

  • Best dunk ever. KJ was one of my favorite players. I still remember some announcers talking about how great a person he was while the camera was on him, while he was flipping the bird and you can clearly see him say f**k you to someone.

  • wow. nice play. how many championships did the suns have vs. the rockets during this decade? lol if only this dunk gave the suns a ring

  • shut the f__k up.

  • Top 3 Dunk of All-Time......Easily.

  • Happy Birthday (44) № ❼ "KJ," (Mayor Kevin Johnson). Suns fans won't soon forget that dunk over 6'11 Hakeem Olajuwan... 5/15/94.

Rockets fans/players were probably saying "Happy birthday..." too.

  • @craigmacnaughton yo dude his height was 7 1 with his shoes on as the fucking idiot doesn't play in bare feet even though he may cause he's from Nigeria.......

  • @craigmacnaughton actually hakeem was 7'0''.

  • which dunk was #1?? i gotta see if that can top this

  • dang

  • How do these people rank their dunks? No way that's 14.

  • Ha ha! KJ knew that shit was historic. Look how juiced he was after the dunk. And #14? Nah. Gotta be at least The Top 3. If not #1 all time. But his dunk on Hot Rod Williams was even nastier. He had his nutts on his shoulder blades. What number was that dunk?

  • I think it was more KJ trying to fire up his team, who were trailing in this game at the time (they would ultimately lose the game, and the series). Great dunk though, probably the only lowlight of Hakeem's historic 93-94 season.

  • David vs Goliath

  • way to be KJ!

  • I think that dunk on Hakeem really fired him and the Rockets.

KJ may have dunked over Hakeem but at the end. The Rockets eliminated the Suns 2 years in a row. One coming back from 0-2, and the other from 3-1 to win 4-3.

So I think Hakeem got the best and last laugh. Didn't KJ and Charles say that they would eliminate the Rockets? Oh yeah thats right the #6 1995 Rockets won. So keep laughing at this.

IM pretty sure Suns fans cried when Mario made that 3 pointer in Phoenix in game 7 in 1995.

  • 14th??

this is the number 1 all time!

6'1" dunking over 6'11" and with power! a real facial!! and the 6'11 eleven is the legend, Hakkem the Dream!

    NUMBER 1 ALL TIME!

  • Best OG in Suns' franchise history. YEah thats right people KJ>STeve Nash. WOuld Nash ever do this? Well to be fair Nash doesn;t have the killer competition (especially on the interior) to compete with like KJ did here.

  • You believe a dunk defines a player's entire career? Did you forget about Steve's back to back MVP awards? Steve's better stats?

    You're retarded.

  • MCR, Better Stats---Uhm, Yeah I guess you missed the part where I stated the fact that KJ played in a much tougher era with much better talent and competition. Plus, KJ is a way better defender (easily better).

Back-to-back MVPs---First one was when Lebron was too young, Duncan and Kobe were injured through most of that yr. The second one was bullcrap. Dirk, Elton Brand, Kobe, or D Wade were better and should have won MVP that yr.

  • Are you kidding? Nash's 2nd MVP was much more deserving than his 1st, cause he led the Suns to a 57 win season w/o Amare!!

All of the so-called NBA "Experts" counted them out of the playoffs, yet Nash soared past that and put that team to the West. Conf. Semis.

His first was deserved too, as he led the Suns to a 33 win turnaround and revolutionize the franchise

I love KJ to death, but Nash is the best PG in the Suns history - KJ is a very close 2nd.

  • @TheHuertaEra. Boris DIaw stepping up showed how overrated Amare was (and Diaw had like 11-12 RPG, something that NASH had no impact on). My point is KJ played in a much tougher era of the NBA (with golden era guys like Malone, Hakeem, MJ, Pippen, Kemp, Payton, Barkley, Ewing, RObinson, young SHaq, Mourning, the list goes on). Steve Nash MVP yrs you got Kobe, Lebron, DWade, TD, Carmelo, but after that you have others that were stars (DIrk, Brand) but not golden era guys like the other list.

  • @JZ2001JC - Get your facts straight my man, Diaw was nowhere NEAR 11-12 Rebounds, more along 7 a game in 05-06, and if you were picking a squad and had a choice between Amare or Diaw, I'll hope you'll choose Amare!

KJ did play in a much tougher era than Nash, but I don't try to use that to compare players, as they have absolutely no control over that variable. And who's to say that Nash in his prime wouldn't thrive in that era, with Barkley and Marjele by his side?

  • @TheHuertaEra. Amare is better but Diaw did step it up on the boards and Im sure it was more.

And if anything Barkley would have been ticked at Nash for his lack of Defense. HEck on TNT BArkley makes fun of all the current Suns on Defense now, just think how ticked he would be if he were playing. Also Nash did play in Phoenix in late 90s, and he rode the pine behind....thats right KJ (And no excuse saying "he was a rookie" because great players career-wise should always thrive).

  • @JZ2001JC Who got me right there, Nash did ride the pine, not only behind KJ, but Jason Kidd as well, which is why they traded him in the 1st place.

And I will say it was because he was a rookie, in addition to not getting enough minutes, and I'll use KJ's 1st yr in Cleveland before being traded as proof that getting some p.t. helps!!

Nash's defensive liabilities are a issue now, but that's due to his age. I'm sure in a defense-oriented system back in the day would improve his effort.

  • @TheHuertaEra. PS---Nash is a great player. I am not really dissing him but more uplifting KJ.

  • @JZ2001JC - I'm not dissing KJ either, especially on his birthday!!

KJ and Nash are two of my biggest influences as a player, and whenever I'm asked to name my ALL-PHX team, I run for the hills because I can't fathom putting KJ over Nash and Nash over KJ.

They were each pivotal in building the Suns in their respective eras, and It'll be a damn shame if one of them is not in the Basketball Hall Of Fame.

p.s - If Diaw averaged 11-12 reb. a game his ass would still be in phx!!

  • @TheHuertaEra. Looks I may have those Diaw numbers wrong but I thought he was even the Most Improved Player in the NBA in 2005-06.

I may have even started a different conversation, and thats that Amare SToudemare may be overrated. Look yes he is better than Diaw no duh but hence why people are gonna consider Bosh and Boozer as bigger steps to a Title than getting Amare during this Summer 2010 Free Agent spree.

  • @JZ2001JC With Amare it's whether he is worth all of the money he is asking, and my answer is no, but IMO, neither is Bosh and Boozer.

To earn a max-level contract, you have to be dominant on offense AND defense, which all three of them aren't.

Bosh is amazing thou and he has better stats than STAT, so I can see teams wanting to get Bosh before Amare. Boozer before Amare thou is ridiculous, Booz's been inconsistent and lackadaisical at times and 1 good month doesn't change that.

  • @TheHuertaEra. Boozer is a much better back to the basket low post scorer than Amare, yet Amare has advantage in speed game. Defensively Boozer is better. Amare and really anyone on PHO is just bad defensively.

Bosh is a mix of Boozer and Amare offensively and he is very underrated defensively.

NBA big men have gotten so weak. In the 90s those 3 would not have even cracked near the 2nd tier let alone top tier of NBA big men.

  • @JZ2001JC I really hate to refer to last night's game cuz that was absolutely pathethic how the Suns let them come back, but Amare's dominance shows how bad Booz is on defense.

Most of time Okur was on Amare rather than Booz and when Booz was on Amare, he destroyed him, and went for 30.

Bosh is 31st in blocked shots and is not a defensive prescence as well. I don't see many players scared to go into the paint because #4 is in there.

  • "who's to say that Nash in his prime wouldn't thrive in that era"

    S. Nash B4 the defensive rules changed

    9ppg & 5apg <-- never made 1st or 2nd Team All NBA

    S. Nash after the rules changed

    15ppg & 7apg <-- won 2 MVP's

The # of perimeter players in the Top 10 in scoring went from 3 to 11 after this change & they had a 23% INCREASE in scoring & a 4% INCREASE in FG%. Take kobe for instance, it's not coincidence his BEST offensive season ('05) was the SAME yr the new rules went into effect..

  • ur a tool

  • If that's the best response U can muster up, it just PROVES that U DON'T have a FACTUAL response to refute anything I've said..

U can go back to playing with your toys now kid..

  • 6'1" dunking over 6'11" and the thing that makes it so sick. It was with POWER. Not some dunk that barely cleared the rim. I love Olojuwan. But KJ got one of the best shot blockers of all-time. On that one.

  • fucking sick.

  • free arm

  • wtf? 14th? this has always been one of my favorite dunks ever, if not my favorite in an actual game. Best damn sports show is trippin.

  • who the fuck is justin beber

  • A dickhead who needs to shutup about KJ before all his fans come to this video and ruin basketball.

  • that dunk was sick

  • ummm justin bieber didnt tweet it .....scooter his manager did. learn the difference between a man and a teenager.

  • Justin RT'd it on Twitter

  • no, justin actually does post his tweets, and that reallly was him. half the time he just does it from his cell phone

  • justin likes this and so do i:D

  • there so tall

  • i now like basketball cos justin does

  • Makes a better basketball player than mayor...

  • hakf these ppl dont care bout this they just like it cus justin bieber "tweeted" this!

  • Cool :) Love it ;)

  • ahhhhh justin bieber tweeted this love him

  • woo! justin bieber tweeted thiss<3

  • I live in Phoenix and even watched KJ in the mid 90s. I liked the guy, but all these people calling Stockton overrated need to shut up. He's one of the top five greatest guards in the past 25 years, along with Isiah Thomas, Magic Johnson, Gary Payton and Jason Kidd. KJ is in the top ten, though.

  • Hakeem though he was going for a layup you can see he was waiting for him which is why he was late on his jump Great fuckin DUnk though on the best shotblocker since Wilt/Russell

  • Hakeem was a bit too late otherwise he would swat that for real. He blocked him twice after this.

  • ... not in this game, though.

Olajuwon was a tad late because of K.J.'s speed. Hakeem was watching him all the way, but he was facing a missile.

  • I LUV IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • so wicked

  • kj - one of the most underrated players of all time

  • damn!!!!! hand that man some tissue to wipe his ass cus he shitted on hakeem

  • get yo ass up ha ha

  • incredible dunk!!!amazing!!!!!!he is too short but.....

  • 6 foot PGs don't dunk on Centres - let alone league leading shot blockers - every day!

  • dont forget the block that Hakeem did on him though. It was 100 times better than this

  • what you smoking pg is never suppose to dunk on centers especial they one of the greatest blockers in history. this is better than the block. hakeem said it himself that was a nice dunk.

  • Every center gets posterized ; Shaq, Hakeem, Kareem, Jermaine O'neal, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, etc

  • don't forget dwight :D

  • i cant honestly believe you would put Jermaine in the list when mentioning other legendary centers...shame shame

  • Lol I couldn't think of anyone else who got dunk on alot, your right Shawn Bradley deserves to be there lol :P

  • hahah o yea

  • Best dunk ever!!!!

  • top 5! hands down!

  • KJ lives forever in Phoenix, there's too many good memories of him burning fools on the court...

  • Baron Davis stole his Move lol

  • The mayor of Sacramento had hops...lol

  • BRUTAL!!

  • Back in the day, you were not an official NBA Center until you were posterized by Kevin Johnson.

  • #14? naw, its top 5 all time 4 sure. Surprisingly similar to John Starks' dunk on the Bulls from the right side! Both are in Top 5 along with MJ over Ewing, VC t-bag over some loser in the Olympics and LeBron over Tim Dunk-on. Well that's all I can remember at the moment lol.

  • Stockton and Malone for all the acclaim they had LOST IN BACK TO BACK NBA FINALS TO THE SAME TEAM!!!

That's a pitiful sport's team fan experience let alone for the top players of such a team. All the dirty plays and lousy biased calls and non-calls and they still did not prevail. The Utah Jazz teams commandeered by Stockton and Malone ... well simply put WON NOTHING. If many of Stockton's assists came by way of Malone and they used the pick & roll often than what real talent in passing is that?

  • I remember when I was in high school I had a fine ass blonde teacher in math class that I wanted to bang so bad and I started talking with her and I found out she like the Suns ...... so I would always talk to her about Kevin Johnson and she really liked him as an athlete saying it was her favorite player. I wished I was her favorite player too!! So to this date I have high respect for KJ!!! Good point guard and I second the comment below - John Stockton is and was overrated!!!

  • Someone who has a brain. John Stockton was as overrated as they come. Exactly , but see that is what takes a person from Detroit to explain to John Stockton fans what is up. John Stockton is a slow point guard that was consistant and that is it. Not great consistant. KJ dominated that bum John slowfoot Stockton. Magic Johnson once said that KJ was of the point guards he least favored playing against cause he was that damn good. Mayor of Sac town. John mayor of crap town.

  • These people who make these posts, insulting various athletes who've succeeded at the highest level is outrageously immature. What did you do in sports, in your career? These guys, John Stockton, Kevin Johnson, etc, were in physical and mental condition most of us could ever imagine. Comparing basketball players is futile often times because, for instance, Stockton and KJ were very different point guards. Lastly, if you enjoy insulting other posters on YouTube, you've got anger issues.

  • This southpaw044 is so immutable to the fact that he just made an incisive distinction that you & I both see as far as Stockton and KJ goes. That is to say that he said they are "two different players" and this fellow couldn't have hit it more on the nose than that. One was a prolific cheater of whom had little offensive talent and was known to be a dirty player while the other was a true PROFESSIONAL athlete with SUPERB OFFENSIVE TALENT and a fair defensive player. Who went to the Finals first?

  • In the 80's Stockton was said to have been one of the fastest players on the court. He is not overated his field goal percentage was over 50%, which is awesome considering he took his shot from the perimeter, and 3-point. Stockton could've scored a lot more. He also had a ton of steals from good defense I think he has the most all time. Unselfish? Yes Overated? No

  • I liked Kevin Johnson but how in the hell can you say John Stockton is over-rated? You guys are nuts. John Stockton is probably one of the best point guards ever to play the game.

Speed and dunking alone does not make for a great point guard.

  • John Stockton was the best at what? Do you even remotely realize what the pick and roll is? It's like what many call a perhaps efficient but "cheap play" because it takes away from showing how offensively talented one is. Thus, John Stockton and Malone utilizing that so often most notably John should lead one to believe that John Stockton was really nothing more than an average guard. Defensively - all the steals but why were the Jazz the dirtiest team in the NBA for ages? Malone and Stockton.

  • did ya nail dat teacher

  • Ooh aw in your face. KJ was something special on the court. Ask overrated John Stockton how good he was. He dominated that bum everytime they faced each other. Injuries took a toll , but still in his prime he was as good as any point guard to ever play in the NBA!!!! How small point guards can even say they dunked on Hakeem, and that dead tree Mark Eaton none. Just think he had numbers that Steve Nash never will approach. 20ppg 10 assists 3 straight years. Barkley did nothing in this game bum.

  • John Stockton's 10 years consecutive averaging a double double in no way compares with KJ's 20 and 10 for 3 years straight? You don't have to put one player down to compliment another. The truth was, John Stockton was torched one on one by plenty of point guards over the years. He became the all-time steals leader by covering the entire court, helping on defense. Stockton's years of 17ppg and 14ppg are incredible, not to mention his assist/turnover ratio. KJ was great..but leave it there.

  • I will leave when I want to. John Stockton so what if averaged a double double for 10 years straight. He along with Karl Malone were rank as two of the dirtiest players of their eras. Pick and roll that is all he had. Could not create off his own dribble. I can put down who I want to. How can you give credit to a person who had most of his assists to one player. Be for real and get a life and stop there and leave it there.

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhh!

  • That was my childhood hero and the best pg we (I mean Phoenix) ever had. Dont get me wrong, Steve Nash got 2 mvp but he never got us to the finals.

  • Most underrated player in nba history. Best point guard ever...4 seasons 20+ point 10+ asst avg per game.

  • Great dunk. KJ was a hella good pg back in the day. But the story goes that after that dunk The Dream ran up court with KJ and said, "You got me little man." However, Hakeem paid KJ back with one of the most ridiculous come-from-behind blocks of all time.

  • THAT WAS sick ! SICK AS HELL !

  • fav dunk ever

  • KJ took the ball to the rack on Hakeem, like block this big fella.I still remember that dunk like it was yesterday.

    Suns baby!!!

  • good but I like much more the sick block Hakeem gave to KJ, check it out is sick

  • Wow KJ deserves a lot of respect for dunking on the greatest blocker in NBA history.

  • reminds me of Baron dunking on ak47

  • I remember this! I was watching it and I went nuts. I wonder if there is any posters of this dunk. One of the best dunks I seen before!

  • did ya'll see otis thorpe? i think he shit himself...

  • great dunk...just remember-vids posted of dunking on Olajuwon are only here because Dream is "THE MAN"-that's a fact-36 years of recording blocks in the modern game since '73-only Olajuwon approached 4000 with 3830-no one comes close.only player to block 4.5+/game and rebound 14+/game/ same season, only player top 25 steals, blocks both-and he's #7 steals-#1 blocks-top 7 and no one else top 25-that's domination guys/nearly every time a player tried to dunk on Dream-"the man" made him eat the ball

  • Nice info, i appreciate it, thanks ^ ^

  • you're welcome......

  • I remember seeing this on TV too, def one of the sickest jams ever...KJ is the shiznit.

  • I saw this game when I was young... but This moment was so beautiful!!! So GREAT!!!

Who remember ... Hakeem blocked for two times shots(slam dunks) of K.J. but not the third time!!! Thats the reason K.J. make this expression in his face!!!! so Great!! Bye!!

  • I remember how much I wanted to see a Knicks-Suns final that year.

  • damn kj went up with no respect for the dream

  • I have the book and his Hardwood Classic Biography. You're right.

KJ produced. Just not enough. Good seeing Yao blocking Roy now. Good game last night Yao, Luis, Kyle, Aaron, Shane, and Chucky.

The Suns need to make some trades to get in the playoffs. Though they have the only center who can guard Yao one on one. Yao's outscored, out-rebounded, and beat Howard every game theyve played. Nice.

  • this phoenix suns team is one of my favorites... I hated that MJ kept them from getting a ring.

  • i know what your saying...

  • kj was a good player but not a world caliber champion player.could not bring his game up when it counted and he cried like a bitch when hakeem blocked him at the rim.

  • Among players who have played in at least three Game Sevens, K.J. ranks third in points per game (31.0) and is tied for fourth in assists per game (10.0).

  • still a good player but world championship rings (0.0)sorry about your

    luck KJ.

  • ... yes, fair enough, but it's not because K.J. didn't step his game up when it counted. In two Game Sevens between the Rockets and Suns, Olajuwon averaged 33.0 points, 14.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.0 blocks, and a .518 field goal percentage (28-54, 27.0 FGA), and K.J. averaged 35.5 points, 10.5 assists, a 5.25:1.00 assists-to-turnover ratio, and a .966 free throw percentage (28-29, 14.5 FTA).

Unfortunately, Charles Barkley's focus in those series could certainly be questioned.

  • Also, in those two seven-game series against Hakeem's Houston teams in the 1994 and 1995 Western Conference Semifinals (14 games total), K.J. averaged 27.2 points, 9.6 assists, 4.0 rebounds, a .502 field goal percentage (136-271, 19.4 FGA), a .421 three-point field goal percentage (8-19, 1.4 FGA), and an .856 free throw percentage (101-118, 8.4 FTA).

I recommend reading what Olajuwon has to say about K.J. in Hakeem's 1996 autobiography, "Living the Dream."
