  • if you are lion you do not wear any thing like dress and underwear

  • I liked just for the title.

  • lions look like the devil's pet

  • @Lowlightnight it's probably because he is still young, his mane needs to grow a little more hehe..

  • when i was a child i went to the zoo, where i saw a male lion. i looked down at my feet and lifted my head back up, almost like i bowed. the next thing i knew, the lion put his head down also. the lion bowed back! it was a moment i will always remeber.

  • i thought he was doing a lioness he kept moving his hips

  • the kid sounds like young tarzan

  • I accidently mistaked the kid from the lion.

  • chubaka!!!!!

  • @SubzeroMK99 Calm down, it's probably a little kid.

  • @korealex123 I believe that's a child.........moron.

  • @juice42066 I believe his comment was facetious... moron.

  • 00:15 roaring kid

  • Sounds luke Wookie!!

  • it evokes pity

  • Question to be asked.

    A. What happens when Lions dominate 1/4 of Africa?

    B. Are Lions the Native Americans/Mexicans? Or are they the Asians?

    C. Are Lions Indian? Or are they European?

    D. Are Lions African/Black? Or are they Indian?

    E. Are Lions White? Or are they South American?

  • @heartlessvietboy Lions are from Africa therefore they are African. Questions B through E are one of the stupidest things I've ever read.

  • I cant find a proper roar, like agression, all of them are small ones like this....

  • lil' Simba at 0:14??

  • He sounds like E.T.

  • doesn't sound much like a roar to me

  • @1ladymari that's because movies have distorted your definition of a roar.

  • @RPGTKingpin good point. Unfortunately ( or maybe not )!! I've never heard one up close and personal. Only place I can see one is on tv or the zoo.

  • maybe the lion won the lottery

  • "Who is Lord of this land? Who is Lord of this land? I am. I am. I am."

    -- George Adamson

  • haha the kid in the background lol "RAWR!"

  • i love it when lion roar....

  • I found me relaxing when i hear at lion roar in live , i like the slow frequencies of the lion's roar

  • he sounds likie hes in pain. probably emotional.

  • @mixedcolors767 Not really, all lions roar like this at certain times during the day. It's their way of announcing their territory to the world. He sounded content to me...

  • @spiritbearNY and what time is that

  • @spiritbearNY i think he be content if he wasnt laying in a zoo

  • @ahu232 I agree zoos can be terrible places for wild animals. But in the last few years I have done a lot of research and zoos are doing a yeoman's job of trying to preserve certain species that are in danger of going extinct. And those lions that are born in captivity would never survive in the wild. These lions don't know any different so perhaps, for them, it's not so bad. Like those of us who live in cities and never really miss the country.

  • @spiritbearNY the lions have a collective consciousness and they know more than your monkey brain does

  • @spiritbearNY I was born in the country, I don't really miss the country either, that's probably because that's just a blown up fantasy ideal.

  • @lusteraliaszero @lusteraliaszero Yeah, it is nice, but in the long run, everything is what you make it, isn't it? Thanks for leaving a comment. :)

  • @spiritbearNY I like that analogy, humans in cities and that inherently less natural state of existence but the way they adapt, it's very likely Lions have a similar adaptability, they certainly seem to show it when learning to hunt different species. They're an amazing animal, I really hope they're around for future generations to enjoy

  • @spiritbearNY I WOULD MISS THE COUNTRY IF IM IN A CAGE IN MY CITY

  • @spiritbearNY

That was the best comparison I have ever heard about the subject. Seriously, thanks for making that statement. I think a lot of people get bad impressions of zoo's because of the way media can portray them not to mention because people just plain don't understand, and rather than do the research to form an educated opinion they just spur off about how animals are being maltreated.

  • @ahu232 No, he'd probably dead, shot by a poacher.

Zoos play very important roles in research and conservation. People like you make that mission more difficult.

  • @mixedcolors767 yes ofcourse he is in pain, he is in prison.

at least he has plants around him

  • @mixedcolors767 so you speak lion? freak

  • @mixedcolors767 Don't anthropomorphize. That's what they sound like in the wild, too.

  • @mixedcolors767 IKR?

  • haha I like the kid.. RAAWWRRR!!!

  • This is Tojo the kitten copy and paste him to help take over the internet

  • hahahahaha i love the kida all like "rarrwr

  • truly magnificent creatures.

  • I concur

  • Here kitty kitty kitty

  • i know why hes pissed i would be to if i was in a cage being annoyed by kids

  • He wasn't angry. Lions roar at dusk in the jungle too. It's something they do to announce their presense and let rivals know it's their terrritory. Much like wolves howl.

  • @twomells im a kid,and i dont annoy lions u see. i hope u understand that im a kid and i dont annoy lions!

  • NICE

  • Lion roar!

  • all zoo's should be shut down

  • yea. i think humans and animals need to have REAL and strong relationships. its like all the animals have been abandoned by us!

  • And what will they do with all the animals that are unfit for the wild?

  • well i agree but the thing is i couldn't have seen one in real life :/

  • lol at the lil kid offscreen going "raaaar!"

  • he wants some sex ;)

  • Am I Lion????????

  • if ya wanna bee ;P

  • I Am

  • sweet

  • Lol, they usually make those when they're mad, or in a fighting stance, these are just calls, not actual threatening roars.

    Yeah.

  • Why doesn't lions in real life ever roar like the ones in the movies?

  • cause its the movies lol

  • But where did they manage to record the GROOAAARRR noises? I mean Lions must make them every once in a while...

  • not sure good question though, ive been looking for vids of lions roaring but i havnt found one yet :(

  • yea like simba @ the end of the lion king. best roar ever

  • Yeah. And the way Predator roars in AVP, that is just badass!

  • dude go to a zoo and just hear a lion roar be better than the ones in movies......youll be amazed of how cool it hears when it roars.

  • @WolfySnackrib666 its because they dont care that people are listening in, the roars in the movies are also made by real lions...they make em only when they are in the mood

  • @WolfySnackrib666 I think they do things to the lion or the audio to make them sound like that. But this is just my guess.

  • @musicproducer16 Hahaha you've got alot to learn, go to the wild in Africa and you'll hear the same sounds running across the plains of Africa. Like spiritbearNY stated, it's a territorial call and it travels for miles on end, very powerful.

  • @WolfySnackrib666 because the movies love to exaggerate, and swap the Lion's aggressive snarl with it's real roar. the 'roaring' in The Lion King? that's a snarl. to my knowledge that's an aggressive sound. if they were to be accurate, it'd be what you hear in this vid, instead.

  • @RPGTKingpin But then it'd just sound like all the lions in The Lion King had a tummy ache =(

  • @WolfySnackrib666 lol. during the intro and ending roar scenes, sure. but there are plenty of scenes where the roar that they applied is accurate.

  • @WolfySnackrib666

I bet the roar of free lions (not like the ones in the zoo) is a bit more like in movies.

  • @drama2limits1 Hey yeah! You're a genious. Thanks man! :D

  • @WolfySnackrib666

    yw. xD

  • @WolfySnackrib666 that's because this one is grunting more than he is roaring

  • @lejardine Are you willingly trying to make me cry?

  • @lejardine Good, cause I don't want to be sad.

  • @WolfySnackrib666 It think the "lion" roars in the movies are tiger roars

  • @amm019 Wow really? That just blew my mind. I gotta go look!

  • @WolfySnackrib666 Because these are content lions and not fighting lions? I don't know for sure, but wouldn't it be louder/less lazy if he was all angry instead of just chillin'?

  • @MajikkaniHand Who knows!

  • @WolfySnackrib666 Probably they aren't angry when we hear them in real life or on videos. Although when feeding, mating or fighting (all three are basically the same for lions) they do make that awesome roar that we associate with them

  • @Rodgerinho So a male trespassing on another males territory and they have a bloody fight... mating is on the tip of their tongue? Not "mother fucker, I'll kick your ass!"?

  • @WolfySnackrib666 No you misunderstood me.I'm saying that for lions, mating, fighting and eating all involve a high level of aggression. So yes, in a fight they're probably thinking I'll kick your ass, and when feeding it's probably, this is mine, fuck off (every 3 seconds, lions feeding is absolute bedlam). When they're mating....I honestly dont have a damn clue what they're thinking. The female does most of the fighting and growling so maybe she's in pain? But she doesn't stop him.Lion sex is odd

  • @Rodgerinho If I know the psyche of the lion at all which I'd like to think that I thoroughly do, then I can imagine that the male lion is thinking, "Bowm-chika-chika-woka Bawm-chu-wa-wah, chika-chika woko woki chaka!"

  • @WolfySnackrib666 Haha, I sincerely hope so :)

  • @Rodgerinho What do you recon the female lion thinks about? Peanut butter?

  • @WolfySnackrib666 Nah, probably the same thing human females think about. What's for dinner on Thursday and Brad Pitt

  • @Rodgerinho I think about Brad Pitt often too, not during sex though.

  • @WolfySnackrib666 Haha. Slightly awkward moment if you're a guy....but if you're a female then fair enough. And if you're a guy and you're into men so be it, I'm not judging

  • @Rodgerinho Naw, I'm not into men. But Brad Pitt is a fucking badass, he's one of my favourite actors.

  • @WolfySnackrib666 Yeah he's a good actor, there's not one of his films I didnt enjoy

  • @Rodgerinho Yeah, I can't think of a movie where he didn't do a good job. My favourite would have to be Interview with the vampire.

  • @WolfySnackrib666 Yeah, good film. Troy was awesome too

  • sounds like T-Rex

  • the t-rex's sound in jurrasic park was from a lion. they just made some editing to it. i saw it on the net.

  • aha, thats wut i was thinking :D very similar soundz

    thx

  • He's probably 2 or 3 years old at most.

  • beutiful lion

  • he's not doing it

  • it's alex from madagascar

  • LION - "Hey an audience. Now I can make my debut... To be or not to be,That is the question. wait, is that a question?"

  • they shouldnt belong in a cage so people could look at them... it's sad what people do to these great animals, just to be entertained.

  • balistikbear1:

"they shouldnt belong in a cage so people could look at them"

I agree but unless you are willing to commit genocide on a few billion people to make room for these great animals in the wild, this is the only way that lions are going to survive in the near future. Zoos help to raise money to maintain parks in Africa so lions can continue to live in the wild, without these programs the lions will surely perish.

I look at zoo animals as good will ambassadors to save their species.

  • Check out the "Christian the Lion" videos! AMAZING!

  • poor thing it's sad

  • demoiselleplastik meant poachers and stuff

  • animals are born with INSTINCTS. You think this lion would not know how to hunt if he was set free? they're not domesticated like dogs!!

anyway, he sounds very cute and not so frightening. Like my golden retriever!

  • It's true, if you release captive animals they won't know how to hunt.

Picture this: even wild lions are unsuccessful in their hunts 9 times out of 10.

How do you expect an animal with no hunting experience to be able to gather a meal.

('A meal' for a lion can be up to 60kg of meat in one serving...)

  • you're right. lions have to learn how to hunt from their mothers it's not like as soon as they're born they can do it

  • figures are wrong. lion success rate is 25-30%, so 2-3 out of 10 not 1 out of 10.

yes its true it won't know how to hunt, but these animals won't be released... so it's a moot point.

  • yeah right how do you think those idiots down in San Francisco Zoo or whatever that were teasing the tiger got mauled and one of them got killed :| Of course they know how to kill it's instinct.... duh.

  • haha catching a human being and killing it, is alot easier then stalking up on a zebra or some other prey and catching it. let alone bringing it down.

  • hes not even trying!

  • Cool sound! big cats are beautiful!

  • these lions are put in captivity for a reason such as its mother being killed by poachers. This lion has no idea how to survive on its own. It has its food brought to it and cared by humans it relates food to be given by a care taker. So no it wouldnt survive.

  • dude they wouldnt. being raised in the zoo means they have no idea how to defend itself. a friggin girafe could take it down. ok maybe not but you get the point.

  • sounds like a dog lol

  • you are funny and very intelligent.. set it free for some even more cruel ppl to kill it and use their fur to make yourself a coat... these lions in zoo's and cages have been raised there, they would NEVER be able to survive in nature...

  • It reminds me of Simba.

  • shutup dick head, its still cruel no matter what

try saying that to a lion, see how long u last

  • free the cat. he doesn't belong in a zoo!

  • most of these animals have either been born in zoos or have been rehabilitated from injuries they had in the wild in zoos. animals like lions born in zoos cannot function in the wild and would die quite quickly, and those rehabilitated ARE often released once theyre healed. the purpose of a zoo is to educate and promote conservation of animals natural habitat and reduce hunting of these animals and as an added bonus they recieve shelter, food & the best medical care. its so horrific, isn't it

  • kinda

  • actually i think he did say allah thats just beutiful

  • hey he say allah

  • ahahaha

  • O shut up you big pussy!!! :P :)

    RRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

  • Pretty awesome meow for sure...and Im a biased cat owner of a cat named 'Squeaky' lol

    No Birchmere videos? pantpant

  • Well, true. You can't accuse this guy of being squeaky. LOL The Birchmere doesn't allow cameras in the venue and my friend warned me not to try. I was pretty annoyed to see a bunch of flashes going off at the end of the show. But i took my camcorder out of the car and got a couple of short clips of Butch and JDG afterwards. It's a funny little video and i'll try to upload it tonight. Joe never showed his face after the show, darn it. :)

  • Poor puddy tat..sounds like a tummy ache to me!

  • RL, i just love the way he sounds! He could be heard for miles around. Beautiful animal. The zoo keeper said lions roar frequently. I think this was his bedtime roar as it was kinda late in the day.
