  • I like how the monkey's spiral of descent into the darkness (abyss) resembles a viral cell.

  • PIAZZOLLAAAAAAA!!!!

  • my favorite film of all time (including fightclub)

  • when you think about déjà vu, when it seems that some things happen twice, it seems to me that this film tells a similar experience, but it would only be true.

  • what is the song in the ending credits? please reply is you know.

  • @Jasoon95 What a Wonderful World"

  • i havent seen this film in time need to see it again

  • I loved this movie. Can you recommend another sci fi similar to this one?

  • this movie is almost one of a kind. genius in my opinion, and great acting. there are not many movies that can compare to this one but as for the plot there are quite a few movies out about virus epidemics leading the the end of mankind, movies such as resident evil and my favorite 28days later and 28 weeks later. none of which use time travel :(

  • Equilibrium, Strange Days, Nightwatch.

  • Hey Aabena20, try Minority Report.

    Very similar yet different themes.

  • donnie darko is pretty sweet

  • @Abena20 i can highly reccomend butterfly effect!!

A brillint movie similar to 12 monkeys (do not watch 2&3 only 1 :P)

  • "Suite Punta Del Este" de Astor Piazzolla

ah, otra cosa, no es acordeón, es bandoneón

  • what is this song called its awesome

  • :) i LOVE 12 Monkeys!

  • T.V. the bastards

  • Terry Gilliam has this oddball signature style in his movies that is prevalent here. Just the circling monkeys and harmonica alone is fucking weird.

    Good film.

  • It's not an harmonica, it's an accordion

  • ...they sound similar don't they, to the untrained ear.

  • I think you'd need to have negative training for your ear to think that was a harmonica.

  • lol, ye I have a horrible ear for instruments.

  • A brilliant film, a brilliant director, but sadly, both incredibly underrated.

This is right up there with Fear and Loathing, dude.

  • I fucking love this film, i love ths way it opens the most when it shows James Cole as a kid watching his own death at the airport. Amazing film, amazing opening....5 stars

  • ummm...HELLO?!?

    SPOILER ALERT!

  • Well surely you have seen it by now?

  • Very... Monty Python.

  • the monkey-chain and the endles spiral imply the whole plot right from the begining. An endles spiral of the same events, in which there is no way out!

  • Right! It's the idea of time as circular, which is well represented by the circle of monkeys, which reminds of the Oriental symbol called "mandala".

    Beautiful, amazing film.

  • I...don't understand...

  • WHAT you don't understand??

  • I saw the movie vary long time ago, i bearly remember it.

  • Oh, you're right!. I had not noticed.

  • Suite Punta del Este de Astor Piazzolla

  • It gives me a kick.. lol

  • this song gives a beat..

  • yeah right, its from astor piazzola but im not sure about the title. "Introduccion" i think. If i am wrong try imdb or something.

  • the title of the song is "Punte del este"

  • @costastg Suite Punta del Este

  • @costastg

Suite Punta del Este, composed by Astor Piazzola for Bandoneon and String Orchestra. The work consists of three movements: Introduction, Choral and Fugue.

This piece was used in the film by Terry Gilliam, 12 Monkeys, however, the recording being used in the movie and we hear at this point is not original but a version of Piazzolla madeby producers.

  • @costastg Music by Paul Buckmaster (based on Libertango by Astor Piazolla)

  • Hi, I love this song, I would like to know what is the name of the song, I think it is from Astor Piazzola, right?...Thanks for share it!
