when you think about déjà vu, when it seems that some things happen twice, it seems to me that this film tells a similar experience, but it would only be true.
this movie is almost one of a kind. genius in my opinion, and great acting. there are not many movies that can compare to this one but as for the plot there are quite a few movies out about virus epidemics leading the the end of mankind, movies such as resident evil and my favorite 28days later and 28 weeks later. none of which use time travel :(
one day a girl named sarah found a note on her bed that said "run" p.s. u cant turn back on this comment now... anyways, she thought it was her brother so she burned it. The next day another note on her bed said "sarah run away or ill come and kill you- mary" she rolled her eyes and threw it away. that night, a bloody ghost came to her and "u have no more warings sarah! ive come to kill you!" the ghost threw a knife at sara and killed her. send this to over 10 vids or u 2 will die
I fucking love this film, i love ths way it opens the most when it shows James Cole as a kid watching his own death at the airport. Amazing film, amazing opening....5 stars
the monkey-chain and the endles spiral imply the whole plot right from the begining. An endles spiral of the same events, in which there is no way out!
Suite Punta del Este, composed by Astor Piazzola for Bandoneon and String Orchestra. The work consists of three movements: Introduction, Choral and Fugue.
This piece was used in the film by Terry Gilliam, 12 Monkeys, however, the recording being used in the movie and we hear at this point is not original but a version of Piazzolla madeby producers.
I like how the monkey's spiral of descent into the darkness (abyss) resembles a viral cell.

Terry Gilliam has this oddball signature style in his movies that is prevalent here. Just the circling monkeys and harmonica alone is fucking weird.
Good film.

It's not an harmonica, it's an accordion

...they sound similar don't they, to the untrained ear.

I think you'd need to have negative training for your ear to think that was a harmonica.

A brilliant film, a brilliant director, but sadly, both incredibly underrated.
This is right up there with Fear and Loathing, dude.

Right! It's the idea of time as circular, which is well represented by the circle of monkeys, which reminds of the Oriental symbol called "mandala".
Beautiful, amazing film.
