This movie is one of worst thrillers i have ever seen. No doubt its an art movie focussed ONLY on the development of the character. Could have been way better if the plot was revealed or more action. Call it drama and nobody would moan cuz nobody would watch it.

Also ich habe natürlich gleich nach dem Kauf von "Schiffsverkehr" mal wissen wollen, wie sich denn das Original zu "Erzähl' mir von morgen" anhört. Dieser Song ist wie die meisten von Grönemeyer schlichtweg genial. Ich dachte mir nur: Schade, dass bei diesem Titel die Musik nicht (komplett) von ihm stammt.

Nun weiß ich ja, dass er die Filmmusik komponiert hat und somit schätze ich das Lied noch mehr :-)

When we saw this in the cinema the most hilarious thing happened. There was an old couple that had fallen asleep in the screening and when the scooter backfires on that part the guy shot up and started shouting at the top of his lungs "HEYY HEEEYY HEEEEEEEY!" which woke up his wife who started screaming and oh man, it was amazing. Everyone else was laughing for the next half hour. Amazing movie though, but that just topped it all off.

Movie is based on character development. Clooney plays a solemn character. All the action occurs at the beginning and end of the film. If you don't like art movies than don't watch. If you're a perv than you'll be glad to know that girl shows her tits a lot. To the guy who said Canadian movies suck. No shit they do if you're watching the ones on TV.

Look everybody has their own taste and there is nothing wrong with people liking or disliking a particular movie. Also it has nothing to do with being close minded or being an idiot. Personally speaking, this movie was to slow for me and I honestly watched it out simple because George Clooney stared in it, and I have paid £10 for the movie ticket. George Clooney was the pulling factor and had a new comer replace Clooney; it would have flopped and would have gone straight to DVD.

It's artistic, atmospheric, and suspenseful, without resorting to cheap flashiness and artificiality.

@Moraud5386 take it easy jeez, consider it a short story, remeber, in grade 11 english class--were the focus ISNT on chcaracter development and rising actions with plots and twits and turn ect-- its focued on a simple point or story line, with a basic character knowalge, if any--i found the movie pretty good---not compared to other like the bourne movies, because as an action thriller, id give this film a 2/10----but rather as a movie in its own emotion---jeez, so hard headed.

I enjoyed the film. Deliberately paced, great central performance and has some quiet beauty to it (and also some silly things like the inept Swedes at the start), like Once Upon a Time in the West or Melville's films. Hurrah for me I guess.

No hurrah for whoever made this misleading trailer though.

In real life, if you try to go up against hell, 5 or more guys with guns, YOU WILL DIE. Maybe a special forces member could stand a chance, but this move plays it smart. Nothing blows up, and that's a mark of quality, not Michael Bay eye candy. People are cold and uncaring in this movie, very businesslike, and people can, and are like that, too. If you wanna see an entire battalion being taken out buy a dude with a PPK, then don't watch this movie.

As MM says, this is NOT an action movie. If you think slow = boring, don't go see it. But I think it's quite good, and better than many critics give it credit for. It's a meditation on a turning point in a man's life. It takes its time. It doesn't try to do too much.

US trailers give away the entire movie with 2:30 minute long trailers to the point where there's hardly a reason to see it. This trailer was actually pretty refreshing and was a full minute shorter.
