Be warned, the charger input / head phone/ usb connection is all from one output this stress the socket and they break. nokia said it was a crush injury and refused to fix it under warranty, even though the phone was only 3 month old, i have found other people saying this in the web

as a n86 owner i feel it a gud phone..with built in8gb..and 8 mp..erm..ok..n97 is also a gud phone..bt if u wan to compare i thing n86 better..i duno wat requirement u all prefer..bt i prefer n86..cazz all the thing in n97 is same like n86..but n97 hav touch screen n qwerty keyboard..but...n86 hav built in 8 gb n 8 mp..so i thing n97 is ok and n86 ok too..

my N97 has 32gb built in memory, 3.5inch display, touch screen etc... so it is better than n86 in every aspect except the camera mp...but you`ll never need a 8mp because 5mp is more than enough. will you make pictures bigger than A4? never..so N97 is way better, but the price is too high

I suppose depends on the person, i went off nokia after that damn n96, but for the price when it was new youd expect that. My mate has one did they fix the leaky led backlight on the keypad. I changed to an omnia hd and that has one of the best screens on the market, the cap sensitive touch is brilliant and the 3.7 oled screen makes for a great experience. the nokias were a bit laggy with there cpu's.

Do you know anyone who's tried the N900 yet? I was gonna hold out for that but knowing nokia it will be another 6 months before the firmwares actually capable of running the phone..

i dont know anyone whos had hands on experience wth that, but the n900 seems a great device, running maemo and the hardware in it is great, i would agree with the firmware problems, id say itd be at least six months until its fully usable, nokia is good at throwing out phones that have loadsa bugs. eg N95 N96 n80 etc.. took a while before the bugs were ironed out.

This phone hasnt made much improvement + its shaped like some older SE models. Good thing the SE Idou isnt coming out for months. We know Nokia can do better.

actually... a few things that the iphone can't touch .... 8 MP camera with 3rd gen flash, wide-angle lens, GPS reciever, bluetooth file sharing, mms...

btw, some sites say the 3rd gen LED flash might be just as good ( if not better ) than the xenon flash. The xenon flash would have added some thickness to the phone ( for me that's a bad thing )... but we will have to wait and see some reviews...

The only reason the dual LED is better is because you can have the LED on when recording video. But other than that, Night pics are still gonna be the best on the N82! Why can't they put a xenon flash on the N97 or N86!! Im still waiting for a phone to replace my N82 black which is the Shizz!!!

its not xenon flash, its dual led. I know it rocks, i had the n82 and the xenon flash made the pics BEAUTIFUL!!! but hey look at it this way u can get the flash light app. and use the leds for a light source!!

It looks like a camera-upgraded N85, nothing more, nothing less. Unfortunately video recording maxes out only at VGA res. and there's no xenon flash (only dual LED). Oh, and did you notice what the name of the phone is?.. "N85 8MP" (just look closely towards the end of the video).
