  • why the hell are people picking all your videos apart? get a life! I think your drumming is great man. This made my head spin.

  • Nice chops man!!

  • hmm your a sea cadet

  • and you were bandsmen but what levels did you have

  • Plastic paddy

  • What kind of sticks are those?

  • ah class

  • aw hi dats class i can do da back stick!!! i also ply da snare drum in a marching band..

  • wats that rag behind him

  • Just one question... what is it that you are playing between that back sticking? Is it doubles?

  • what is the difference between all these drumming styles like drum corp and pipe band?

  • I wondered that myself, american drumcorps in my opinion is much more complex, the biggest difference is the sound and speed.

  • the accent points are pretty different...pipes drumming uses alot of dotted notes

  • i think you're good. but to me snare playing is all the same. same sound.... but i dig it. rock on

  • lots of lots of drags

  • You certainly show promise. My advice is to find a GOOD standard pipe band near you and get some good tuition. What you are playing at the moment is about a low grade 4 standard. You need to study rudiments and to improve your technical ability. It's like everything else, the more you practise, the better you get. Just remember and find a GOOD tutor. Oh, listened to your Bodhran playing and enjoyed it. Something I've never tried but would like to have a go.

  • man u need more stick control, shouldnt hear the sticks hittin against one another !

  • well im sorry haha this was 2 years ago, and i've gotten alot better. TO be honest i usually have more cotroll with my sticks. I know this video sucks, its not my best by far. But thnx for the comment.

  • haha, i like how it just magically turned into the Duthart Fanfare at different parts(backsticking mainly) good job!

  • I want to have your babies!

  • Hahahaha!!

  • you sicken me

  • dude, with some proper teaching and good scores you could make a very good drummer#

  • thanks lad. i know this video sucks..like technique wise. haha but i'm getting lessons from some high up drummers, and im joining a grade 2 band soon.

  • hi man....wat grade 2 band u going to....

  • You kick ass guy! Holding the drum sticks in the traditioanl way too. This is going in my favorites!

  • ahh great stuff !

  • madididndon, by pipe, he means bagpipes, he's playing bagpipe drumming.

  • andrew?????? ha ha ha nice playin

  • Wow... that's he first time I've seen the left stick held like that in a very long time. My old drum instructor would be real proud of you for that! :) Speculating what he'd have had to say about flippin' the sticks like that...*giggle* He was an ol' grouch...

  • a u must be italian i am to b u must of been a sea cadet cuz of the badges in the background and i am a sea cadet to lol

  • That's an Irish flag, not Italian.

  • frickin awesome i loved it

  • Love your work mate. I think you're great. I enjoy your Bodhran stuff too.

Keep the great vids coming please.

  • Very fluid buzz rolls between the hits. Kudos to you! And on a properly tuned snare that would sound amazing, I'm sure

  • Please tell me you live in Victoria, I'm a piper, been looking for someone to drum with me downtown. You've got some serious skills there. Those puddle pirate insignia on the cork board? Or Navy League. I was all about the CScot army cadets.

  • Wow! 'Apart from the bodhran', AND the spoons... ;D

    Great job!

  • Hiya IrishKanuck, I love your videos, I play my bodhran along with you. Ignore the critics, jealousy methinks.

    Keep up the amazing work.

    Wildrose xx

  • wow, it's amazing how you play the stiks, I dont really know what a pipe is, could you explain it??

  • That should sound even better on a snaredrum, also makes it easier to do your roles :)

  • Madw me laugh --great to see ya havin fun lol and to the detractors !! get yer heads outa ur asses lol

  • thanks!, i do have tons of fun playing. and for all the jackasses out there, ive been playing for 12 years, so i know i didnt sound the best, but its all in fun

  • the playing is garbage

  • well, great to get some constructive critisism.

what in particular is garbage? (u obviously must know alot if u can make such a blunt statment)

  • Made it up my ass.

  • yep..i made up about...70% of that.

The back sticking i'snt made up..and some of the durmming is not made up either. But alot of it is.

  • beautiful

  • your single work is sloppy and you dont play with any exression. your rolls are pulsy. and you need to learn how to play without hitting your sticks. other than everything you played, it was awesome...good job

  • well thanks for the judgement i guess...

pretty sure i was just playing for fun.

  • I agree. I mean, i enjoyed it. It's just for fun man, dont be so serious.

  • Dude you've got to try out for the Vic Firth World Championships!!

  • hahaha...i dunno man haha. I dont think im THAT good.

  • You got the music for that or are you playing random things.. Sounds random!

Oh haha as I was typing that you got to our backsticking part..wanker. Hey its the roll now. weeeeee I love that thing.

    DQ ON WEDNESDAY!

  • lol i made it up AHSS lol

HEHHHH!!!! haha jeez ERIC always roamin my turff!! lol

  • are you Irish? anyway great job, nice 4/4 part indeed ^^

  • Man you are really insane. I like how you manage to fit all those rudiments in at such a high speed without messing up. Also I like the part near the end where you took a chunk of the 4/4 and made it sound popish. This clip was incredible GOOD JOB!

  • damn dude you're awesome!

  • Really nice!!
