hes the leader in the Al in Homers, 31. Evan has 24.

As of 8/15/09, Pena also LEADS THE AL in STRIKEOUTS and is hitting .212. That is one of the reasons why TB is struggling to stay in the Wild Card race and not up there with NY.

in some ways Pena is better, and in some way Longorias better. but I dont think they are better than one another.

Well then please list the ways, all of them, in which Carlos Pena is a better player (in the field and at the plate) than Evan Longoria.

Mind you, start with this: Evan Longoria was the 2008 Rookie of the Year in the AL. Evan Longoria was voted by the fans as the final alternate in the 2008 All-Star game and voted as the STARTER at 3rd base in the 2009 All-Star game.

Pena made it this year as an injury replacement at the last minute & only b/c Joe Maddon managed the AS team.
