  • geoff better watchout spaniard killian jornet is coming on the scene

  • Nothing short of impressive. I'm always in awe of those who are able to complete events like this.

  • not very fast. I like a 11 min mile.. why did you tape this.. is he last place

  • @Doubleshot98

no, he's not in fucking last place, he's setting a goddamn course record. Yeah, it's an 11 min mile... for 100 miles over rough hiking trails. Seriously, get with the program.

  • @robotminione 100 miles?? whatever. You are insane. A man can't run for that long..

its a joke you stupid fuck.. if you can"t understand sarcasm don't jump on your moms apartment complex office computer.

  • @Doubleshot98 You are ignorant.

  • @Doubleshot98

    wow you fail

  • @Augmen1 i run that fast during my warm up

  • splitting range over 15 hours, and the guy looks like he's out for a jog. Give me a moment to pick up my jaw

  • Dean's a great athlete but he isn't the fastest. Plus, he started his ultra running career when he turned 30. Geoff, Anton, Scott Jurek, they're all much faster and started younger. The guy running shirtless is Dave Mackey. He's also a very strong runner.

  • Move over Scott Jurek...Geoff is my new ultrarunning hero.

  • Could any experienced runner guess this pace for the last bit. His avg pace over the entire race = 11:15/mile (with stops).

  • @wigleboy guessing 7:30. he's putting out almost exactly 180 strides/min (which is considered ideal) and they are not short strides. also it takes him about 1.5 seconds to run the length of a truck. based on an average truck length of about 211 inches, this comes out to 8mph or 7:30 miles. towards the 3min mark in the video he seems to briefly slow down a little bit but i'd say the last mile averaged out was 7:30

  • @futureleader17 Cool thanks

  • @wigleboy I think 15:07 for 100 miles is 9:04 min/mile

  • So what if this guy beat Dean K`s time. Dean K competes in every big ultra he possibly can, surely his recorded times have to suffer due to this. Dean would never mention this, his humility is incredible.

  • who's the hot fuck running shirtless alongside?

  • Is he as good as Dean K?

  • @DMSOforU Let's see... Geoff Roes ran a 15:07 for the WS100 and Dean Karnazes' best time is 17:43. He crushed Dean's best time by 2 hours and 36 minutes. I'd say he's better than Dean K. :)

  • @TBakeProductions Not sure there is any real need for comparison. Dean is a freak and his endurance abilities set him apart in different ways from other runners. He may not be the fastest but that doesn't make his accomplishments any less impressive. I know that's not what you were insinuating. I just think they are very different runners. He is faster than Dean, but not sure he's better.

  • @DMSOforU He's better because he isn't a self promoter, he is the true heart of the sport.

  • @DMSOforU Deans is a good runner but there are alot better ultra runners out there. But he's not as fast as Scott Jurek, Anton Krupicka , Killian Jornet, or Geoff and ect but yeah he's good most people cant keep up with him though. But there are alot more ultra runners that havent been discovered yet.

  • This is amazing. I ran a marathon and about died.

  • Wow. How he did this in 15+ hours is mind-boggling. I dropped at mile 35 sue to sprained ankle. 10+ miles of course was on sloshy snow. The lower elevation was offset by a steeper rise -- from Poppy's to Duncan. Thus you can't say this was an easier WS100 course than usual. Roess amazes.

  • A new course record, what an animal.
