I agree. I never paid attention to the Erotica album or listened to it because of all the controversy surrounding the Erotica video and Sex book. However, after hearing this song I bought the Erotica album and I really like it. Madonna is at her best when she cuts all the obnoxious, controversial behavior and does what she does best, which is sing. And she can look really pretty when she makes up her mind like she does in this video. Love the song and video.
In my opinion, she died because she was sort of mimicking Marilyn Monroe's death. The lyrics say she isn't happy and she drinks and smokes throughout the video in lieu of popping pills like Marilyn did, but I still think it's a vague reference to Marilyn's death in the video being found dead in bed. And Madonna seemed to channel Marilyn Monroe in her looks and mannerisms during the early 90's.
