  • p.p.s. cant flow??? classic song?.....Renegade? U nutass dude....and yeah he is better than all those u names.

  • @k2stypoint Can't flow. No Bangers. Renegade sucked dick. U BitchAssNigga...stop smoking blunts.

  • p.s. Black Thought is one of the illest emcees out....he just doesnt wanna be mainstream so most ppl dont know who he is and cant vibe with the style of music he makes. He is an emcees emcee.

  • SMH @ Canibus fans. Haha they bout as delusional as Bis himself.

  • @k2stypoint SMDH @ Eminem Stans. How you gonna proclaim someone as the greatest emcee when you haven't been in the game long enough to know what an emcee is?

  • hi, guy. remember me?

  • Mos Defs verse is from a song called "Brooklynn Go Hard" and Black Thoughts verse is from the song "Doing it Wrong" but ive never heard Eminems verse im guessin hes the only one who freestyled in this cypher, SSLP and MMLP is wat made him famous, ems one of the greatest, but Tech N9nes a MONSTER. i consider him the greatest, n im white.

  • @Chrisbeach5 Tech N9ne > Eminem > *

  • Mos Defs verse is from a song called "Brooklynn Go Hard" and Black Thoughts verse is from the song "Doing It Wrong" lol Eminems verse ive never heard, so im guessin its the only freestyle on this cypher. Eminem is one of my favorite rappers, has been for years, SSLP and MMLP is wat made him fameous, but Tech N9nes a MONSTER.

  • For those reasons I dont dislike Eminem as a person BUT I hate his success because of what it represents, someone white getting more attention & success off a black dominated field simply because he's white-bc most consumers are white. Now watch Yelawolf go multi-plat easy.

  • I dont think ppl realize just how much have a producer like Dre. capable of bringing an MC's ideas to life and making them push their potential to the limit is worth. Imagine Nas, Mos Def, Pharoah Monch, and other ceberal MC's getting to work with Dre for all their albums....this man made a star out of Eazy E..who couldnt even rap at first DAMN.

  • Also the Beastie Boys outsold Run DMC, even tho was considered the better group

  • Same with the Roots, Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco, etc they would be much more successfrul....this isnt even debateable. Elvis remade songs by black folks and became a legend.."jail house rock" anyone? Justin Timberlake consistently outsales Usher...N-sync over New Edition etc...hell even in other forms of entertainment like sports, whites outsale their counterparts by far, whom are just as good or even better them.

  • No blk rapper could make a "Hi, my name is.." without being ran out of the industry for being soft and pop. If he was black making the exact same songs..same ryhmes....same flow even with Dre behind him he would only be half as successfull as he is....On the flip side if Nas was white he would be twice as successful in my opinion.

  • his flow was HORRIBLE on that track, even tho his lyrics were great.....however I do believe he is one of the greatest of all time but NOT the best. The problem I have with him- NO not him but his SUCCESS is that he owes much of it to being white. Him being co-signed AND produced by Dr. Dre-HUGE, plus his actual skills and talent PLUS being white simply makes him incomparable to anyone else. Hell his mediocre albums go MULT-platinum. He even admits this, to his credit.

  • @pkbosslac You are bitch ass nigga, Bro! Your problem is that you never took reading comprehension in school. Therefore, you lil pea brain is unable to acknowledge the difference between an honest and accurate critique and hatin' on someone. How can a bitch ass nigga like you speak on "the complexity of rap" when you can't even figure out the complexity of the English language? GTF off my channel, Bitch

  • You are a fucking lame! Canibus better than Em?

  • @mrholipsism that's what i thought yo. If u look at my comment, i said the same thing! Amazing! However, I have heard many songs where em flows very well with the beat; namely "I'll Hurt You" with busta, "gatman," "patiently waiting." There are more...

  • @MrHolipsism

well everybody still knows Lose Yourself as if it we're still recent,

so i don't know exactly how it's showing any sign of being forgotten.

And Pioneers always get extra credit by default just for being originators.

It kills me on things like when people think illmatic is the best album ever made, when Nas sounds the exact same on every song. Thank god the beats were dope (my fav part of the album, and AZ's verse) and sounded different because the mood of his flow was so mono.

  • @glasspig What is ironic is that you can make an opinion (which you have every right to do) about an album universally accepted as a classic and critique an emcee some people consider one of the best that ever did it, BUT...MrHolipsism can't say shit about Eminem or else he is a racist. Priceless.

  • eminem rhymes to beats like mos def like in bully, gatman and robin, il hurt you, crazy inlove, nearly every song, maybe you should listen harder and stop being a hater, the more u say im not hating on them or not taking anything out of there flow the more you do.

also whats being born after 86 gotta do with it? i was born in after then yet iv got old school albums or do i not just hear them like u?

  • @trebornitsua "the more u say im not hating on them or not taking anything out of there flow the more you do."

GTF off my channel, you illiterate bitch.

  • Intelligent commentary surrounding these MCs. The arguments are intriguing, because there is never really a way to objectively distinguish the G.O.A.T. when there are so many styles. I've preached Black Thought for years...he has flaws, not many. Some songs he has done take my mind on a lyrical journey. Mos just has so much flavor and rhythm, again another intellient rapper. Nothing against Em, but he is like Elvis to Chuck B or Bo Didley, Red Hot Chili Peppers to Fishbone, do your Math kids

  • eminem did take out canibus, dumbass--along with ll cool j and everybody else. compare the slim shady and marshall mathers LPs and weight them against any canibus album. yeah, eminem's verse here was weakest and bitches be crazy but you are retarded.

  • @dotdotdotPotato Eminem did not take out Canibus, dumb ass. If he did tell me the date, place and time they battled. I know this may be confusin to a bitch like you, but in Hip Hop when you battle someone you usually face them ON STAGE. Eminem made a weak ass record called Canibitch. If you call that taking someone out, go and kill yourself. You weak ass bitches added LL Cool J to the list of people he took out too? ROTFLMBAO! GTF off my channel, retard.

  • Canibus never came back after Canibitch from Eminem.

  • @ThaWiseJester Because it was WACK and beneath him. Canibitch? Please

  • @dotdotdotPotato To be fair LL did not body Canibus

  • yo i just listen to canibus best freestyle that dude is not that good fam sorry to bust your bubble ive been around since before slim shady and canibus is good but he aint on no syar lvl sorry brah u stupid ass fuck if u think em is weaker than canibus thats ridiculas and u need to stop smoking crack fam for real i was at M's first record sighning and he cool as fuck with fire lyrics so u smoking fam get your mind right thats real people that cant spit always got a fuk as opinion homo

  • @JAYHOOD707 Your ol' crusty bitch ass moms, nigga. Now that we got that outta the way. Fuck you. Eminem will NEVER battle Canibus. Eminem been on Canibus dick since day one. Battling Canibus would be career suicide. If Em can take him why don't he battle him? People who know the real know why and bitch ass niggas don't. Which explains you. Now GTF off my damn channel, you little feminine bitch ass dick riding nigga.

  • dude i met shady u sound like a hater the whiteboi did wut no 1 can do and u sound like u like 1 particular style to each is own stop hating its bad for your health feel me baydestrian out 70savage yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • @JAYHOOD707 "dude i met shady"

How does his dick taste, homo?

  • it has always been about lyrics

  • @Fatal100100 Explain P Diddy

  • i did not like eminems verse on the 2009 cypher

  • To me, Em has the better verse in this round.

  • HAHAHAHA........YOU OFF..... Then EM just Kiled the 2011 Cypher!....and Canibus isnt consistent!

  • @leveltheone1 yeah...he just killed it. smdh. What a surprise. Anything coming out of Eminem's mouth is like Manna from heaven to you stans.

  • @leveltheone1 and he is still off beat too. smdh.

  • @Killm33 You are a fuckin' idiot. GTF off my channel.

  • @MrHolipsism lol Sure, you and this channel's a fuckin joke

  • @Killm33 Then why is your bitch ass still on it? GTFOH, Clown

  • I'm a huge fan of all these artists, but whats the point in diminishing Em? I've heard Mos do way better than that even though he was dope in the cypher...also, the whole thing about hip hop is the fact that everyone is supposed to have different flows...and Em can ride a beat, and funny enough Talib Kweli rhymes off the beat from time to time too, so is he not good either? it's the style, just as they have songs when they rhyme off they have ones that are in sync...it's dynamic - thats flow

  • @myspaceBackdraft22 Why is it considered diminishing someone if you point out a flow in their style? Are you attempting to say Em has no flaws? Because I've already pointed them out and so has he. The problem with these Eminem Stans, not talking about you, is that just because someone doesn't want to jump on a dick and start licking it with them they consider the person not lickin' as a hater. Priceless.

  • @MrHolipsism it's diminishing if your sole purpose is to point out his flaws and downplay his ability while glossing over others.... also to say Em doesnt have flow is just untrue...it's one thing to critique but when your argument boils down to 'he's considered nice cuz he's white' and he 'doesnt have banger' it seems more like ur annoyed by people that like him for stupid reasons more than having a legitimate beef with his ability which even Rakim said is one of the best

  • @myspaceBackdraft22 I didn't gloss over anyone else’s flaws. I don't like Taalib Kweli and it is for the same reason I pointed out about Eminem. If you've read my comments in rebuttal to all these morons in this thread saying I hate Eminem, you would know that. I refer you to the description section of this video. I'm saying nothing Eminem has not said himself. Beats are arranged around his style. He doesn't write to a beat. This is a FACT whether you like it or not.

  • @MrHolipsism something isnt fact just because you say so, you're entitled to your opinon..who's the best MC cant really be based in fact anyway...but ur whole purpose seemed to be downplaying em through what u saw as a flaw but not being evenhanded..it's not a very in-depth analysis is all im saying..i think if u tried to really justify ur position in the video w/o coming off clearly biased, u wouldnt have to repeat so much in the comments - dont have time to read every response u know?

  • @myspaceBackdraft22 You are right, something isn't a fact just because I say it is. Something is a fact when it just is. Eminem is a great writer and when he writes he doesn't write around a beat. He writes with his own internal rhythm and rhyme flow. The fact you don't know that says volumes. As far as your personal opinion about how biased I am...I'll just use your own words..you are entitled to your opinion.

  • @MrHolipsism I doubt you're there every time he's written a track, or seen the inner workings of his mind to come to that conclusion..though I have heard him rhyme on beat..which he even does on this cypher, despite what you say...as well as switch up his flow and rhyme off beat (which adds emphasis to what he says)...just because he doesnt punch his words on the snare doesnt make it out of sync with the beat...ever listen to jazz? Then again who am I to argue with "facts" right? peace.

  • @myspaceBackdraft22 Good move. Because you don't know wtf you are talking about. Jazz? I swear...I've heard that boo-sit argument so many times to attempt to justify someone who has a hard time catching the beat. Off beat is not a style it is a deficiency.

  • @myspaceBackdraft22 Also, my annoyance doesn't come from people liking him. I like him. My annoyance comes from people saying he is the greatest emcee of all time.

  • first of all,....to say that eminem can't ride a beat is "TOTALLY RIDICULOUS!!"apparently this was posted waaaaaay before tonight's cypher. hopefully, you watched it and i will be awaiting your retraction!!

  • LOL! This guy's a fuckin clown, "If you're born after 1986" blah blah blah "been in this game". In what game? Analytically scrutinizing songs on YouTube? LOL What a fuckin joke, also LOL@ White Canibus. You seriously don't know shit, despite your 'longevity in the game', this was your free pass to bash Eminem and white fans. Fuckin loser.

  • @TheAzzuriBlue First off, your mother. Second, you fuckin' CLOWN, the game is called HIP HOP. The fact you think I was bashing Eminem or Eminem fans just proves you need to graduate high school or at least take some remedial reading comprehension courses. I was pointing out an obvious flaw in Eminem's style and showing you how calling him the G.O.A.T. is ridiculous and only someone who just started listening to Hip Hop after 8 Mile would think so. Facts hurt, Bitch? GTF off my channel.

  • @TheAzzuriBlue even Eminem wouldn't say he's the best in the game dog. He even admits he's still working on his flow. Chill man. And he is the white Canibus.

  • Bro i feel what you said on everything but you wrong shady got bangers ike crazy hers a few solider, lose yourself , in fact every song on the eminem show is a banger. Shady dont need to ride beat , He might not be the best of all time but he top five .

  • Em cant ride a beat ?

    ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY ?

listen to "i`ll hurt you" , and listen how he ride that fuckin beat .

and there are like 300 other tracks he ride the shit outta of it

  • @SteveFuks Can I ask you a question? No offense intended, but....are you white? Because if you are I totally understand why you THINK he can ride a beat. Let me give you an example of what riding a beat is....

    Redman- Da Goodness - watch?v=_z6INnysnBM

Eminem is great but beats are arranged around his flow. He's not really good with break beats. Doesn't make him a bad lyricist or an emcee. It is just a flaw. No big deal

  • @MrHolipsism

And also , If like flows so much , please do check the Eminem Tim westwood freestyle show ,

Why I say shady is the greatest rapper to ever grace the face of earth ?

Cause he can get his voice and emotions go from Emotional , Sad , Angry , Funny..etc..

And Em`s storytelling is crazy .. Listen to murder she wrote or brain damage ..

For Ex: I dont think any other rapper can be " funny " in like his lyrics or voice or flow ? other than Em

thats a skill you cant deny .. he can do it al

  • @SteveFuks plenty of rappers have that range, they're just not commercially successful. Stack KRS's 20 albums against Em's.

  • @SteveFuks Here is another example: Chubb Rock - Caught Up - watch?v=uAH_1j4b5Vk

If you listen to both of those cuts they can literally make you get up out of your seat and dance with their flow. Eminem has yet to do that on any song I've ever heard him make. That's just the truth. Sorry

  • @MrHolipsism

Ok , I see clearly how you dislike Eminem.

But , You cant just scream out and say Em can flow on a beat ... ? cause thats just stupid.

That tells me you didnt really listen to his studio albums , or his tapes , or his diss tracks.

Many rappers got great flow over several different beats

But Em is just on another level .. Cause the type of beat in the song : i`ll hurt you " is kinda different than a " regular rap beat " , And I surly was amazed on how Em managed to flow to that....

  • @SteveFuks Damn, I'm not even giving you complicated beats either. Here is another example of a song with dude flowing his ass off and complimenting the beat. Ultimate Force - I'm not playing - watch?v=lPDFGbXpPqM

  • @MrHolipsism

And canabitch cant fuck with shady.. Shady already done with him .

I mean Canabitch ? comeon .. his voice makes me wanna puke.. and i knew the guy cause shady mentioned his name in the track " Can A Bitch "

Please do listen to Murder she wrote , low, down, dirty , brain damage .. ( those 3 are rain drops in a sea of greatness ) ..

In the end bro ever1 is entitled to his own opinion ..

and IMO Shady is the greatest rapper to ever grace the face of earth..

    n to ansr u

    im not white

  • @SteveFuks I respect your opinion, Fam. ONE LOVE

BTW....I'll listen to that track you mentioned.

  • @SteveFuks Here is a song from the Emcee that executed flow better than anyone and the greatest Hip Hop song of all time; ERIC B. & Rakim - ERIC B. IS PRESIDENT - watch?v=7PpwefhFKuM

  • Em is the greatest rapper to ever take a BREATH on a MIC.

FLOW/LYRICS/STORYTELLING/EMOTIONS(sad,happy.emptionals,angry,funny) Em mastered it ALL throu all his albums.. and unpublished tracks , And im not gonna mention his DISS tracks because in them he shows how hes the greatest.

    DEAL WITH IT.

    HATERS.

  • I didnt say eminem was the Greatest!...but Em is not just a GOOD mc...anybody with ears no EM is not just a good mc...he torches tracks...he is a lyrical genius...hes a GREAT mc..and I bet more people would agree then disagree

even krs and rakim and them...in fact they did...I got eminem 3rd all time behind nas and pac

EM'S verse:when I bring the fucking drama use to bomb you like saddam but now that Im a little calmer ima fucking cross between osama dahmer obama and dali lama...WTF!

  • Cmon man...the white boy is damn good...I got him number 3 alltime lyrically...and Im a lyricist...local artist 3 albums in

lol...man LL took out cannubis and LL is washed...I gave cannubis topten status when I heard poet laureate...I give him props for coming back after his first album bombed

you off asying EM cant flow on a beat..your statements are misleading cuz EM said flowing over the beat better is something he wanted to WORK on...to improve on his already considerable skills...

  • @Primal141 If you call yourself a lyricist and you put Eminem at #3 all time then I have to question how long you have been emceeing and who you have listened to as an emcee. I respect your thoughts and opinions though, fam, and you have a right to them. ONE

  • Good comeback when you aint got no argument...Em the white version of cannubis?...come on man...what seperates them is EMOTIONAL CONTENT ...EM will go off sometimes and you can just FEEL what hes going through...(which I might ad he got from pac) but cannubis doesnt have that

cannubis is more like vocabulary and metaphors...your argument is off...for the simple fact that...any one who knows rap...whos mos def and black thought cant fuck with EM..they are simply NOT topten mcees...

  • @Primal141 #1. You are out of your damn mind. #2. I don't have to come up with another argument. Click on VIEW ALL COMMENTS and just take a look at how I have DESTROYED every talking point you are addressing right now. There is no argument that Eminem is a good emcee. I'm saying he isn't the G.O.A.T. and I am 100% right. Only a person who knows NOTHING about Hip Hop and Emceeing would say he is.

  • uh uh you off dog...eminem has more creativity to me than canibus...canibus is NOT top five...but I will give him topten

Big words rhyming dont make a great verse...which one of cannubis verses are legendary? He got maybe 1or 2... I can name several nas, pac, jay z,az,eminem

Plus man listen black thought and mos are NOT topten alltime...EM is in the top5...he SUPPOSE to kill them...2 when did lyricism matter?...WTF! its why they call them...LYRICIST!!!!

  • @Primal141 Don't do drugs, Sun. For real.

  • Hip hop sees no color...

  • @nameless2k6 your point is valid to an extent. Eminiem is recognized for his talent because he's damn good at it. I mean look at a lil wyte, bubba sparkz, paul wall, i'll even through jin in the mix. Guys of different descent who haf there shot in the industry who didnt pan out... If you got it you got it... Cant take anything away from the man because of his skin... The man can rhyme, not only that. He makes HITS... Hell The Beastie Boys did it too... Hip-Hop in there relative form...

  • Eminem's bangers: the entire Slim Shady LP and Marshall Mathers LP. Great albums will always trump great single tracks.

but if we're just talking singles, I'll still fuck with Guilty Conscience, Kill You, and The Way I Am all day

  • That's one good thing u mentioned out there about who fathered who's style homie! For ones who don't know who fathered Eminem's style and were too young to know that Eminem style came from Masta Ace! who's one of the greatest mc's to spit till this day!!!!!

  • Agreed 100% with everything you said.

  • I think there is a certain stereotype that exist in everyones minds about ppl that when someone doesn't fit a certain stereotype but does well in it, people are more easily impressed. I mean,I'm not as impressed by chinese guys being good at martial arts but If I see a black white or even an indian guy doing well in it I'm amazed. Similarly, em is not the best but there aren't a lot of well known whites like him and cause he is good at what he does he prolly gets more recognition for it...

  • Eminem is actually the only one who freestyled on this..Mos Def's already spit this freestyle before, it's called "Brooklyn Go Hard"..and Black Thought's verse was from a song called "Doing it Again" off the "How I Got Over" album. That said, this cypher is ill as f*ck!!! They all murdered it!!

  • to be honest i understand more of the words what em said.. i mean, most def and black thought are cool but hard to understand coz of the complexity. and eminem jus made his lyrics clearer tho it may be off beat

  • no come on man!!! ok lets say he was off beat here but listen to "clean out my closet"

  • pac didnt have a flow and hes considered the best. canibus is to lyrical and his flow is fucked worse then eminem or pac. sometimes theres no subject matter jus names of places or people. what the hell do you mean no one bumps eminem? lose yourself is arguably one of the most over played rap songs of all time. i do respect your opinion tho

  • your opinion is idiotic. eminem would rip bis.dont get me wrong eminem isnt my favorite rapper. not even my favorite white rapper. eminem didnt have the best flow on this cypher but the best lyrically. bis is overrated and only attacks popular mcs to boost his own popularity. which never worked in terms offlow em was last but lyrically? hes 1

  • Em is an off beat rapper.... his ryhmes are hotl Black thought "Reppin Philly" is def tight... Mos Def? No words (hands down one of the greats).... the only difference between em and these cats are basically what you said.... nobody says "oh put that eminem joint on" well to be honest he just entertains us with his word play... he doesnt really make us dance.... am i right?

  • @hmcfadden Yes you are. THANK YOU!

  • haha ur a true hater making the whole video hating on Em...all you gotta know is the Eminem got the most Oooo and Aaaas in the the whole battle...o even if eminem did ride the beat the best way he can....RIding the beat is over rated in Ems case cause he had a twice the words per beat all the black thought and mos def...don't get me wrong but they are good rappers but to em they lack intensity, interested( cuz i don't remeber what the said), and word play.

  • @badboy95ca First, you fuckin' Jackass, you are an IDIOT because I never hated on Eminem during this video. Second, you stupid fuck, because "he had a twice the words per beat" is the very same reason why he couldn't ride the damn beat! Doesn't your stupid ass understand that? As far as memorability, the average person would remember what Black Thought said and what Mos Def said before they remember the barrage of words Eminem spit out, So....you FAIL on every point.

  • @badboy95ca I'm sorry guy but you're absolutely wrong in every way possible. Eminem is at best alright. In terms of rapping. But you here you have real rappers. Mos Def was one of hip hop's pioneers after the death of Tupac and Biggie, with Black Star which is still considered one of the best rap albums of all time. Black Thought has some of the best flow and lyrics ever seen. Then he also has the Roots, which is an original idea in itself, Eminem's just hype. Don't miss these real artists.

  • Dude I love Black thought but HE DID NOT FREESTYLE!! That is the whole point of teh cypher. He did the lyrics from the Roots Doin it. Almost word for word. Sorry Mos and Em kicked it off the dome, one was black and one was white but both were off the top.

  • @nodnarb4002 The only person who came off the top of the dome in the entire freestyle was KRS ONE. The fact you didn't know that says VOLUMES.

  • YO, Eminem, Black Thought and DJ Jazzy Jeff MURDERED this performance! Damn!

    watch?v=yqJOZNgFIsM

  • I agree with everything you said, Black Thought did have the overall best verse lyrics and breath, but for some reason I think Mos Def has a better flow! I've always enjoyed how he flows, can't describe it, but I love it! He definitely is my favorite rapper! I don't agree with you on how old you have to be to know about this stuff, I'm 16 and I don't want to sound like a jackass but I know a lot more about music than most people my age, everyone dick rides Lil Wayne & Wiz Khalifa! Good analysis!

  • @pitbikerider285 Thank you for being the voice of reason in a sea of dick riders. ONE

  • eminem and royce da 5'9 are the two best out there. slaughterhouse too

  • You say Eminem is at the bottom of the pit when it comes to these other rappers.

I agree with you, but only when it comes to flow, I'll say it again, FLOW!!!!!

Now, when you talk about the other skill sets of rap, like Metaphors, Similes, Internal rhyme, with a combine complex of rhymes, and I could get a lot more specific here, but when it comes to that, the majority of rappers can't fuck with it.

Why you think no high ranked rapper has EVER Stepped to Eminem

Yeah benzino did, but who he. lol

  • @JGarcia770 "Why you think no high ranked rapper has EVER Stepped to Eminem?"

Why should they? I've never heard Eminem be anything but respectful to the legends of the game that came before him. That is why I've said countless times that I have no problem with him as a person or as an Emcee. I only have a problem with his Stans. They have proclaimed him as the greatest and I take exception to that. The GOAT title is not a trivial thing and you have to put in MAJOR work for it, feel me?

  • @MrHolipsism: haha is funny when u said eminem cant take out cannibus cause he already took him out a few years back and hes diss was nasty too. haha

  • @6sylent I don't know if you are new to Hip Hop, but...unless you battle someone you can't say you took them out. If you are talking about that wack ass Canibitch record, I don't know what to say to you. Eminem never battled Canibus and he never will. It would be career suicide.

  • @6sylent: well why after that canibitch diss i aint her canibus diss him back did he choke or something, and plus i heard canibus was a stan and would write alot of letters to em like hes was on hes nuts or something

  • @6sylent Actually, it was the other way around. The reason Eminem had Canibus in his mouth is because he was one of Canibus's stans. FACT. Check it out if you think I'm lying. I actually agree with you that Canibus hasn't gotten at Em as much as he should, even though Em never responded to that last Canibus diss record watch?v=wfO0C7r2uVQ

  • @6sylent watch?v=GAXR6zV2zyQ&feature=fvst

  • Flow means everything right, that's what your saying.

In to days generation, it's all about flow, catchy hook in a beat right.

Well that's all I hear, and if you don't believe that, then IDK where you've been.

Eminem not the best with flow, but back in the day, I never did hear anybody flow like that before, and if you don't know, do your research.

  • @JGarcia770 Do you know what it means to flow? I'm curious because based on what you just typed I don't think you do. And for the record I'm not trying to insult you in any way.

  • @MrHolipsism

Yes I do know what flow is.

Flow is the most simplest thing in Rap.

Your either born with it or not.

It's the way you flow on a beat, being able to change your voice to different types of beats.

How you carry yourself through the music.

  • yooo i was gonna actually listen to what you had to say and keep an open mind... but after listening em's verse i just wanna say fuck you for thinkin em didnt kill it :)

  • @KendaBeatMaker Jesus Christ, where do they get your MORONS from? I never said he didn't kill it, you idiot. I said he was horribly off beat during the beginning of his rhyme and HE WAS. Not up for discussion and not up for debate. GTF off my channel, Bitch.

  • And reading these comments yall talkin bout Eminem can't stay on beat?! We talkin bout Eminem of today right?? Dude was on serious drugs. Listen to him now and compare him to even Encore. Stayed and flowed like a MC. People need to stop hatin on Em. I'm black and I keep it 100. Look at his beefs, lyrically he destroyed his opponents. Keep it 100 nigga. Cause you just hatin, that's all

  • @Ballaboy2523 Yet another dumb nigga that don't know wtf he is talking about. Fuck you and stay off my channel, Bitch.

  • Black thought shit was from a song. Smh but you ain't know that

  • @Ballaboy2523 Of course I did. And you think that was a freestyle, idiot?

  • Plus his shit was written duh

  • @Ballaboy2523 So was Eminem's but you wouldn't know that.

  • Dude you speakin nonsense. You sound like a fuckin hater smh pathetic

  • @Ballaboy2523 Dude, you don't know shit about Mceeing. You sound like a dumb nigga.

  • America is 64% white and 60-70% of Rap CDs are bought by white people, you do the math.

  • @IEtherianSoul9 This actually strengthens my point. Thank you

  • I have to agree, Eminem is overexposed and thus overrated. He is a great lyricist, don't get me wrong, BUT there are also MANY OTHER GREAT LYRICISTS like Pharoahe Monch, Kool G Rap, Rakim, One Be Lo, Big Daddy Kane, Common, Talib Kweli, Elzhi, Gift Of Gab, Aceyalone, Canibus, Ras Kass, J-Live, Nas, etc. Eminem is praised and hailed as the greatest MC to ever pick up the MIC, etc., that is complete and utter bullshit. You need to expand your Hip-Hop horizons if you make a statement like that.

  • @IEtherianSoul9 Thank you for being the voice of reason in a sea of dick riders. ONE

  • Also if you are talking about Flow...i would never bring KRS as a defense because KRS has one of the worse flows among the greats. i can definitely show evidence on that. You said Eminem needs one banger...well...Lose Yourself...Till i Collapse...Stir Crazy....thats 3 right there...In short my dude i think your biases are clouding your logic. Its all an opinion but the biases are just too heavy to ignore and really messes up your points. Especially with the black/white rapper thing my dude...

  • @note156 I do have a bias. I like and expect people to rhyme on beat. I'm also biased when it comes to VOICE too. I think in order to claim an Emcee as "THE GREATEST" they have to excel in each and every category of Emceeing. That is why my top three Emcees are Rakim, Big Daddy Kane & Kool G Rap, personally. Eminem has too many deficiencies for people to seriously include him in a GOAT conversation. Only if you starting listening to Hip Hop in the 90's would you include him in the discussion

  • @MrHolipsism Ive been saying the same thing you said about this cypher for the longest..and Black Thought had the most complete bars PERIOD. I actually have Black Thought in my top 5 greatest MC's along with Rakim,Slick Rick,Nas and Kane.

  • 1. I think you are dickriding Canibus...Canibus barely handled LL...Eminem toys around and merks Canibus regularlly...I know a lot of underground cats that bring up canibus and as dope as he is his best effort was a patch job from a Dope producer as far as albums go. In short...he ain't seeing Em.

    2. Your critique on his flow is horribly bias. the dude was on point. I think you just prefered one over the other. But in the process you missed the fact that Eminem was on beat it wasn't generic.

  • @note156 #1. Eminem will NEVER battle Canibus because it would be career suicide. Much easier to do the 50 cent and pop shit on records AFTER you have become a success because you know you have body guards and you will NEVER have to face the person you are dissin. #2 You don't even know what FLOW is, Moron.

  • He's right. I'm white (Russian and Native American) and I couldn't agree more.. Eminem CANNOT FLOW. He's a great writer, good rapper, has spirit,...but cannot ride the beat. Case Closed.

  • @BlackSheepAlpha Thank you.

  • Another thing, Eminem's whole catalog will live, ledgens are validated by the entire body of work not 1 or 2 songs, you ask ten people what's there fav Em song and you'll get 10 answers..

  • You sound like you know what you're talking about but fact is you're nit picking non issues, how could you say Eminem's flow was off when it was perfection, you talk about complexity, not other rapper could have fit that difficult of a rhyme scheme on that track without skipping a beat. His cadence was on point, ans the choppiness is his trademark style..

  • @doeboi74 "how could you say Eminem's flow was off when it was perfection"

So now rhyming off beat is perfection now? Priceless. LOL

  • @doeboi74 "no other rapper could have fit that difficult of a rhyme scheme on that track without skipping a beat"

THANK YOU. You have just validated my point.

  • A Sista in this thread summed it up best: "He's trying 2 pack as many rhyming words into each lines as humanly possible & consequently his flow disregards any beat or rhythm in the vicinity. That's a rhyming dictionary style of rapping with or without the dictionary. Ironically it's very elementary."

  • Brilliant assessment...

  • whats rap without rhyming? talking. youve never heard eminem flow on a beat??...

  • @vince90x I NEVER said I never heard Eminem flow on beat. I've heard him flow on beat on other stuff fine. What I and HE are saying is that being able to ride a beat is not one of his strong points. This isn't even up for discussion. The man said it himself in the description box no one wants to look at.

  • That cunt in the viD talkin is clearly jelous ! Coz EMiNEM got more cheers frm the crowD hear how he talks raCist aGainst EMiNEM ! sHaDyS baCk bitChes yOu all shouLD respeCt him for what hes done ! One white trash guy that dont ever quit ! sHaDy records RUNs this rap shit still No#1 ! So all yOu haters keep hating EMiNEM just proves who you are ! A faGGit panzie racist priCk who can suCk a muthafuCkin DiCk !"sHaDy/aftermath.!"

  • @marky8870

I might have to agree with one point...i think dude does have some bitterness over race here....the dude has a point but i think the bias is blatantly obvious...Which really takes his credibility down a lot....Not to mention the KRS One mention....that kind of killed his whole logic on flow.

  • @note156 What about KRS One killed my logic on flow?

  • @MrHolipsism

Well KRS has been subject to criticisms over his flow for years....The guy at times is not in tune with the beat either based on what your logic is on riding a beat...Personally i disagree with your view on what being in tune with the beat is...but i just found it strange that you would use someone like KRS who is known to get flack for his flow as a example against Eminem's flow.

  • @note156 KRS One does not have a pattern or history of not being able to ride a beat. As a matter of fact, I can name you COUNTLESS tunes where he has flowed his ass off and those tunes or legendary and staples of Hip Hop. My definition of rhyming on beat is when you actually rhyme on beat. It isn't that complicated. Just like there are no shades of grey when it comes to singing in tune. Lets not re-define fundamentals just because it isn't Eminem's strong point.

  • Once again, read the description box under the video. You are arguing against Eminem's own words. HE SAID he has a problem rhyming on beat not me. I just acknowledge that he does too.

  • @MrHolipsism

Actually,he does...based on your logic of what riding the beat is.personally like i have been saying i disagree completely with your logic because i can find plenty of examples where an unconventional style of flow ends up working very well with whatever beat you may have...another fine example is E-40.A real great MC doesn't just "ride the beat" all the time...he makes the beat his own to the point where you are nodding with the rhymes...not the beat.In short, you're narrowminded.

  • @note156 In short, you don't know wtf you are talking about. Not rhyming on beat isn't a technique; it is a deficiency. Only in Hip Hop do people who have deficiencies try to claim them as techniques. In R & B or Country or any other genre you would never hear a singer call singing off key a "style." Shorter...your ignorant.

  • @MrHolipsism

You are still failing to understand what i am saying...which is why you are having difficulty processing the point. I disagree with your logic on what "flowing on beat" is. Singing off key isn't a technique...but singing baritone, raspy or falsetto is. There are Mariah Careys in the world, and then there are Macy Grays...Its just a different style. Which is what you fail to understand. The only person that has shown any kind of ignorance is you my dude.

  • @thelife312 Listen, IDIOT, you can't even tell the difference between TONE and BEAT and you are telling me I'm ignorant? LOL baritone, raspy and falsetto are types of TONE. It doesn't matter what tone you sing in if you are OFF BEAT. The reason why you are having difficulty processing what I'm saying is because you are ignorant to that FACT. SMDH

  • @MrHolipsism

i also didn't think you would actually make a response and then block them from making any kind of comeback...it was a basic discussion with no hostility...you doing all that showed exactly how bitch you really are...which is a shame. if you can't handle a difference in opinion then don't post public videos. But it makes sense that you hate Eminem...after viewing your shit my guess about your logic was correct...you are a racist black faggot who can't debate worth a damn. Good job

  • @thelife312 Stop frontin' , Bitch. It was YOU I blocked and guess what? I'm blocking your bitch ass again. Once again, you don't know WTF you are talking about so what "debate" did you think you were having with me? Only an IDIOT would say KRS One has a problem with staying on beat or that people complain about him not staying on beat. BOO-SIT. Then to attempt to make not being able to rhyme on beat into a STYLE or a TECHNIQUE really warrants a block off my channel, Dumb Bitch. So stop crying.

  • @marky8870 Good bye you illiterate dickhead

  • After viewing this video it seems to me you have a New Your / up north bias. I mean Black Thought and Slick Rick. I dont think anyone not from up north listens to this and I was born before 86. Im from the south and those artist you name don't get no play down here. As far as mc's what happen to Ice Cube, Bun B, 8Ball,Young Dro,and, Lil Wayne who are some of the best mc's ever. I dont believe your racist with your opinion. I Believe you just have a New York/up north bias.

  • @2mac11 First and foremost, thank you for the manner and spirit of your response. I actually agree with your assessment about my bias. Since I'm a NYC cat I most definitely have a NYC bias when it comes to Emcees and Emceeing. That is a fair critique.

  • Fuck you nigger

  • @rpull13 Say that to my face and I'll beat the piss and snot out of your bitch ass, Faggot.

  • this the problem with hating ass nigga always talking down bout a nigga yo bitch ass get on bet in flow on the cypher or some um in get off rappers dick( im talking bout the nigga who was talking bullshit in this video

  • @L3ism STFU, you unintelligent incoherent don't know WTF you are talking about Bitch ass Nigga.

  • I can give 2 shits about a white rapper

  • yeah he better than all them!!!why???cuz none of them have a better rhyme technique.....not even close.......em u my man......keepin it raw!!ileagle like malik n jamal!! cuz i dont bielive in tha law, like im steven segal!! come on do i need to say more??

  • @marcdivine87 Don't do drugs.

  • @MrHolipsism how about lose yourself, when im gone, stan, and mockingbird.....all flow on the candance....his flow may not be the best....but in terms of wordplay,(he is the best), in terms creativity and multis, and delivery he is pretty good......plus he sold more records than any other rapper, hes gotta be a legend!!!

  • @MrHolipsism lose yourself is ranked #166 in terms of the 500 greatest songs....he dosent make club bangers

  • White people get aplause for walking ? Are u serious ??? eminem is white version of canabis ?? ahaha u r a funny racist man . So what is weed ? a green version of odb ? U should understand that aint about skin color. It s only about social status. If u got money and are bankable.Eminem got succes not cauz of his talent, only cauz he surfed on this shocking people wave,as manson or lady gaga.but i think it s funny a black dude talking about racism and the president of ur illumaniti country is black

  • @LinoTrazom Wow. You really dropped some Science, huh? Hey, Dickhead, look at the description box, you idiot. Oh, another thing, this isn't my country because Afrikans don't control it. Also, if I had my own country their wouldn't be a President and there would not be a government. So take your illuminati boogey man and shove it straight up your bitch ass. Goodbye Bitch.

  • dude is right Black Thought had the best verse on any of the BET Cypher's hands down and then Kiss then Buddens then Eminem and nobody but KRS1 was really freestyling

  • Eminem=no bangers

  • @Jahbril30 lose yourself ranked #166 in 500 greatest songs according to rolling stone

  • @philliessuck4ever Lose yourself is not Eminem's best work, imo. Stan is his best cut so far but I wouldn't put that in the category of technical rhyming. It was a creative joint and honestly one of the best. He should definitely be proud of that concept.

  • He's not able to ride a beat, but this might be a part of his image. I believe it was worse before, but it did played a big part in his first album. He's been like that every time he freestyles, but he's improved a lot. I'm not part of the crowd that respects these new 'rappers' with infant flows. I strongly believe that flow is lyric plus rhythm. Eminem has a unique way of both. I rate him as the best of freestyle battle and the best on the charts. However, the best of RAP is yet to be decided.

  • it's funny to hear this after we now know that blackthought wrote this

  • While difference manifest through social construct and media stereotype magnification there will be forms or racist thought patterns . So its not just 'white' the same would happen if a black swimmer started to dominate or Chinese basketball player . Its patronizing and a form of judgment based on roots of origin but it happens . He is just a good mc but magnified by the under dog effect of being white. It works in all ways ! I believe we should all judge solely by merit in all cases :)

  • @kateadam28 Thank you for one of the most intelligent and thoughtful replies in this thread. I applaud you. ONE LOVE

  • I agree Cannibis is a BEAST but what you know about Prince Ea, Check out the Brain

  • He has a banger, dumbass. And lyricism does matter dumbass.
