This episode was when the Ferrari FXX was around the track, Ferrari dod not allow anyone else to drive it other than M. Schumacher, and they didn't want to waste a oppertunity, so they just put him on there as the Stig.

No-one knows who it is now but it's probably several people playing him, they choose drivers depending on what type of car it is

Schumacher would be way too expensive to be the real Stig. I'm sure they used other drivers for most of the shows but used MS for the finale. They built up the Stig mystery so much that they had to use a star. Somebody like Ben Collins would've been a big let down.
