  • Haha I am Turkish. And he speaks Turkish and he sais: "You see for the first time a circular rainbow. of course With the Airplane: Turkish Airlines. And I'm going to put this video on youtube. Haha This video will millions of people watching"

  • Olum türk milleti degil mi bu ? hemen "Youtube'da milyonlar olacak" diyorsunuz :D Güzelmis, payalasim için tsk ;)

  • @flashdragoonsbro125

All rainbows are double, if you look more closely.

  • llia11489 is right. This is actually called a "Glory", not a rainbow.

  • i saw a full circle rainbow from a plane when i was seven ... i was so amazed by it

  • This is NOT a rainbow: this is indeed a glory. The former is caused by refraction, and usually forms on raindrops; it has a much wider span. The latter is caused by complicated wave optics effects, and forms only on small droplets, found in clouds and in fog.

Search "atmospheric optics" in Google; the first hit is an excellent website that explains what a rainbow is, what a glory is, how they are formed and how to recognize them - but there are lots of other interesting stuff there.

  • omg what does this mean?!?! It's a HOVERING RAINBOW!!!!!

  • i love when people comment negatively when they clearly have no idea what a rainbow is or why they exist

  • awesome! I've never seen that before.

  • holy crap, he's right, I've never heard this stuff.

  • Actually yes that is a rainbow... when rainbows are seen from above they appear round like that :3

  • That's the nicest full rainbow I've seen on Youtube. We talked about the fact that rainbows are actually full circles in physics today and my kids wanted me to look for a picture.

    Thank you.

  • that is reflecting off the plain it isnt right colour same as you get from cd disks,

  • it sorta looks like it's on the window

  • Yeah, it looks like an oil spot.

  • It's gloriola

  • This is called a glory. Look it up on google to learn more.

  • Our forefathers had seen the twin-rainbows from mountains above the clouds, and shared the secrets of this truth, which is the indicator of the healthiness of our only one and only blessed planet within the universe and beyond it.

I have created a clip named Alohim on youtube with more pictures to show and inform you about the importance of things we almost ignore

  • Please note: This Full Twin Rainbow - shows the truth of the outer circles naturally occurring in reversed order of the inner circles - as the energy hits the air - of what we on this only living wet-planet see as The Rainbow - only a small part of it glory, while we walk on Earth's soil.

  • All rainbows are actually full circles of light. When viewing them from the ground, they appear as a semi-circle due to the angle of sight.

  • aferin

  • @hikersoul Also a rainbow is a cloud

  • @Dh3mani its light being refracted through tiny water droplets that form mist/clouds, not the actual cloud, but its made because of the cloud.

  • omfg!

  • amazing!
