@ChunkyPirate I've seen them play three times, but this time in Nashville was the hardest I've seen Philip (the guy you're speaking of) hit the tom. It's probably because he accidentally chucked one of his drum sticks, heh heh.
@BossHossV8Cycles That's awesome =P. I've heard Caspian's name for quite a while, but I always dismissed them as just some average, generic post-rock band. Finally listened to them and saw how wrong I was. Definitely need to see these guys live.
@BossHossV8Cycles All the big names, of course; Godspeed, Sigur Ros, Explosions, Mono, TWDY, Mogwai, etc. Some lesser known ones; Balmorhea, Gifts From Enola, Saxon Shore, Her Name Is Calla, Youth Pictures of Florence Henderson, The Pirate Ship Quintet, Yndi Halda etc. Don't really want to list 'em all. I'm huge on post-rock, just never bothered with these guys for some reason.
@ChunkyPirate Yndi Halda is amazing. I almost saw them. But at the time I hadn't heard of them and they came after Caspian and it was already midnight on a long day. After Sycamore, I thought, "the night can't get any better, I'm going to go now. Anyway, good list! The only one I hadn't heard of is Her Name Is Calla, I'll check them out.
I personally think Sycamore live far better than the studio recording, not just because of the experience of watching them all move to drums but the pacing just seems to be more intense.
It's definitely an experience live, though. Something not even a video can fully capture.
Musically speaking, I prefer the studio recording but I would sell my soul to see these guys perform live!

I love the guy in front and just to the right of the drumset. His last hit is great.

@ChunkyPirate If you don't mind me asking, what are some of your favourite post-rock bands?

Phillip loses his right drum stick towards the end. Heh heh. It doesn't show well in the video, but he accidentally chucked it.

This was the second time I saw them and they still blew my mind as much as they did the first time.
