In Chiang Mai there are a few buildings like a market where they have sprinklers on the roof. Almost no wind though. Heat rises, so the taller the roof the cooler the building, like temples and how we built our house, and water conducts heat much better than air, so it should take away some of the heat that gets to the usually very hot roof, in theory!
Yes it keeps cool but you will vapourize a lot of water
I'm having a plan to run water through my roof to keep it cool
And of course I'm cool too, whenever I'm not hot, hahaha
