Hi Thanks for your information, my daughter is on Olanzipaine 5mg at night, 10 mg Ability in the morning, and 10 mg Valium at night or as required. She had a siezure. She is slow moving, slow thinking, memory loss, and bored, pacing. Do you have any ideas for me as to what to do?
hey doc, I am, or was skinny 30" male. Now taking 10mgs of Olanzapine and gained about 11 lbs in 4 months. I am concerned because I have high lipids Hdl. My primary wanted me to take something for my cholesterol. Still haven't been back for EEG results. Maybe take 5s instead and go back on valproic acid for aanxiety. also taking Bupropion sometimes and marijuana daily. too much benztropine (2mg) makes me puke, and having bad acid reflux...suggestions???
hey doc. 25 years old and i'm on 15mg olanzapine at night. i am too skinny normally but have gained weight since. my internal seems to think my cholesterol is too high and i am genetically proned to a rare heart valve problem. it made me constipated. since then i have just started taking wellbutrin 75 mornings for depression. i still smoke. my question is should i look into low doses of lithium instead of the the usual olanzapine/benztropine . or should i just keep smoking pot?
Even if your skinny (like i WAS) this medication will cause one to get stretch marks... i have got them on my arms, thighs,and love-handle regions..slowly taking myself off and my weight seems to be stabilized, thank goodness

I have been diagnosed bipolar and prescribed olanzapine which doesn't really agree with my system, i have tried to stick it out but have now reached the point that i feel better flushing them down the toilet rather than taking them. Can you tell me what you would prescribe for bipolar disorder please. I have found that cannabis helps me enormously, it helps the depression, the mood swings and the sleepless nights but i cannot get a prescription for cannabis even though its now a product.
They also like to push olanzapine for people who have Borderline Personality Disorder.
Up here in Canada, they're trying to push quetiapine as a stand alone antidepressant. In my experience, it lowers my mood, if anything, although its the only medication that works for my severe insomnia.
It would be really great if you could do a new quetiapine vid!! hint*hint ;)
yah, I used to have sucky shrinks and they put me on zyprexa even though I was already fat and very psychotic. then I got even more fat and was sleepy all the time!!! I couldn't tolerate the zyprexa and never stayed on it, so I ended up psychotic.
Oh and what would be your most recommended treatment for this/these disorders? I truely want to get better. They say its like impossible but they say the same about herion addiction and I proved them wrong
This does not have anything to do with Olanzapine. Just trying to catch you. On discovery of myself out of all the diagnosis I've been given. I think they've finally got it right this time! There just is not enough info out there though. Can you do a video on C-PTSD with Psychosis Nos? Please! Keep up the good work! Luvz

I agree it is no good for depression. I found it made me feel like a Zombie. It an antagonist of dopamine so, how can it improve depression. Where as Aripiprazole is an agonist of both dopamine and serotonin. So that has been much better for me,

and i used to be on mirtazapine, which i also hates.
im getting fat.

They'll probably be using depo Olanzapine in the prisons and have prison guards make all of the medical decisions on the inmates.
