  • That is a good idea. I will try that and see how it works. I still have to sew the zipper on the front so I will do those at the same time.

Thanks for the sugestion and thanks for watching!

  • i would add tabs about half way up on each side and atach it with string to a steak so itl bring the sides, that ar flopping at 1:53 ,out for more room

  • That's so cool! How did you sew it togther?

  • @scubnix With a sewing machine. I have access to some industrial types so it was super easy! thanks for checking it out...

  • Still heavy, try half a pound.

    cheers.

  • @paulpm1974 How heavy was the one YOU made ?

  • Good job on your tent, it looks good and is all a solo hiker needs. I sent you a video response for tent poles. I made some super light tent poles for my little one man tent using carbon arrows.

  • A good start, but too flappy I think. Depends on where you use it, if it gets windy you might want to add a curved pole in the middle. How did it perform?

  • why not make it much bigger

  • love how its so small when its in the holder

  • It's a good start.

I'd swap out the front tent pole for a dual aluminum set-up with one on either side of the doorway meeting in the center at the top. It would assist in tightening up the sides of the tent as well as leaving your entrance wide open and unobstructed.
