  • ....hello just wanting to let you know that ive been stereotyped here for being gothic well you know what is i stereotyped you? would you feel the same?

  • Hey, this is where I go to Church! Isn't that Father David at the front? I love St. Mary's.

  • What a wonderful testimony! God bless all the brothers and sisters who worked with these converts. Of course the Holy Spirit did the most important work!

Welcome Home, dear brothers and sisters: The Holy Catholic Church!

  • PLease remove the choir from the altar area, and restore the communion rail! It looks like a Protestant church!

  • The choir does not belong in the front of the church, it belongs in the rear of the church. Only the high altar should be in the sanctuary. This is a Vatican II abuse arrangement which is being corrected throughout the country.

  • † C'est très beau.

  • @djjennyfey Amen!

  • False Baptism And 1hope4all You Have The Wrong Bible It Says Verily God Doesnt Say Truly

  • The Greek word can be translated into 'verily' or 'truly', but either way the message is the same. The wrong Bible is the one that has distorted the message of Christ, not a simple difference in language. That was a very petty thing to say, and I don't unsterstand why you are saying this is a false Baptism. We should be happy that someone is receiving the Holy Spirit in a sacred way. That what Baptism is all about, receivingthe beautiful Trinity in a special way unlike anything else.

  • @ApostolicDoctrine09 So, you mean most christians from the first century until 1830 approximately were not saved since they received a Baptism like this. What about Acts 16:31-33? Does the Bible say this man had a pool at home or a river nearby to be baptized with his children? (The True Church practices three types of baptism according to circumstances: by immersion, infusion, and aspersion. The one here is called "infusion". God bless you!

  • @ExEfrarom, All i'm saying is that the person who is getting baptized, should know when they are getting baptized. Because all baptisim are not the same.

  • @ApostolicDoctrine09 Now I don't get yout point! 'Coz things are what they were meant for, not what we think about them. i.e. A poison is for killing, an antibiotic to cure infections, vitamins to make us stronger, etc. The Christian baptism is the same: It was established to give us the new birth, to wash away our sins, to make us children of God, to give us the Holy Spirit, to make us Church members, etc. No matter the age nor the way but the elements: faith, water, Trinitarian formula, etc.

  • @ApostolicDoctrine09 cont: You must know that Mark 16:16, used as an argument by non-catholics concerning children baptism wasn't part of the original Gospel but it was added during the 2nd century AD, since Mark ended in an abrupt way in Mark 16:8; so Early Christians wrote three different endings for It, including the one most of us know. Get a Bible of Jesusalem and check the footnotes. God bless you!

  • Welcome home to the Church! God Bless, and have a Joyous and Blessed Easter!

  • Intresting !

  • Wow, this is wonderful! All those people getting baptized are getting their souls clean & pure from all sin! God bless them all!

    Peace & Love in Christ.

    Sandy

  • If they're getting baptized and "clean from all sin", why did JESUS die for then? Didn't JESUS die for ALL sin?

I mean, that's sort of contradictory isn't it?

If it's true that a person MUST be baptized, what about the thief on the cross next to JESUS? That guy didn't exactly have time to get baptized but he's in heaven.

  • It is because Jesus died for our sins that we can get baptized. When we are baptized, we die WITH Christ and then we are born to a new life WITH Christ, hence the phrase "born again."

I am not the one that says we need to be baptized in order to be saved. JESUS is the one that says it. Read the bible much? It's in there.

  • What about the thief on the cross?

    Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

  • amen to what 1hope4all said. he was baptized in death with Jesus because he made a perfect remisal of all his sins. i would not advise doing this however most people are unable to do this so stick with the sacraments.

  • @TheLORDismySheperd1 Have you ever read James chapter 2 by any chance or Mat.7:21; 25; 2 Tim 3:16-17, etc? Faith alone? Com'on! Check the history BUT carefuly and don't skip facts. Don't be brainwashed!

  • @TheLORDismySheperd1 What do you call the golden statues God commanded Moses to make in Ex. 25:18-22 and Num. 21:8-9? (remember that God had commanded in Ex. 20 not to make graven images about anything in heaven, on earth , under earth; however, He "seems" to contradict Himself by ordering this!) The Catholic Church doesn't consider idols pictures or statues of our Spiritual Mother Mary or of our brothers the Saints. BUT... whatever! Think whatever you want!

  • @ExEfrarom

I don't believe, "what I want", I believe what GOD says.

Okay so the Ark of the Covenant (a symbol in which GOD appeared above its mercy seat). No where does it say the ARK itself had any power. But GOD (only) used it.

An image set up by Moses which is said to have healed those who looked upon it. When the people of Israel, near the close of the desert wanderings, were marching southward to go around Edom to the east of Palestine, they murmured against God and against Moses.

  • As a punishment "fiery serpents" (compare Isa. xiv. 29; xxx. 6) of the region were sent against them, and very many died of their poisonous bites. On their showing repentance Moses was bidden to put upon a lofty pole an image in bronze of such a serpent, which, according to II Kings xviii. 4, was known as "neḥushtan." The sufferers, when they looked upon the image from any part of the camp, were healed of their sickness (Num. xxi. 4-9).

  • This "brazen serpent" BECAME AN OBJECT THAT WAS WORSHIPED by Israel, and so remained until Hezekiah (a faithful man of GOD) soon destroyed it by breaking it into fragments (II Kings xviii. 4).

So, 2 completely different object, neither of which was/is to be WORSHIPED.

Oh and the reason King Hezekiah destroyed it, is that they'd burn candles & incense to it. Thinking that the idol itself was "divine".

I grew up in the Catholic church so you can't tell me that Roman Catholics don't do this.

  • @TheLORDismySheperd1 The true facts are that God had prohibited graven images, and but then He seems to command the "oposite. In Protestant view: "All graven images are idols" So? Why don't you claim God for doing this, know-it-all?

  • @ExEfrarom

Anyways we do disagree, but I still pray for you & all people who settle for tradition instead of seeking truth.

No one can make you, each of us has to seek & find; WITHOUT RELIGION.

GOD bless you my friend & take care :)

  • @TheLORDismySheperd1 Well, Let me tell you that I experienced the opposite to you 'coz I belñonged to the "Assembly of God" for ten years, so you can't tell me how you think. BUT if you stop reading Jack Chick's booklets and start reading serious and not biased literature, you will uncover that without the Catholic Church, you wouldn't have Bible (New Testament)! Since the Church is the Pillar and Foundation of the Truth (I Tim 3,15) The Bible cannon was compiled by Catholic bishops in 391 AD.

  • @TheLORDismySheperd1 By the way, why do you always delete your comments?

Afraid of what? It's hard to keep track of your opinions!

  • Oh, and "that guy" is Saint Dismas. He suffered on the cross and repented. He had a perfect contrition for his sins. St. Dismas had what we in the Catholic Church call a "Baptism of Desire." So he indeed died WITH Christ, then was born anew WITH Christ.

There is also a "baptism of blood" which is Martyrdom.

Jesus is MERCY and He forgives all sin except the sin against the Holy Spirit. That sin cannot be forgiven.

    Peace & Love in Christ.

    Sandy

  • Matthew 22:36-40 (King James Version) 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

  • not sure what you mean sin against the holy spirit? Jesus forgives all sins we just need to ask him to do so.

  • macgeek21,

Mark 3:28 Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter,

29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin"

  • macgeek,

Mt 12:31 Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

32 And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

  • macgeek (cont...),

Luke 12:10 And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the one who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

There are more but I think you get the picture. ...

  • ... The following could be considered sins against the Holy Spirit.

    * Despair; to not believe in Hope or to think that God cannot forgive ones sins... a person thinks their sin is too big for God to forgive.

    * Presumption; to believe one does not need or already has grace.

    * Impenitence; not feeling regret about one's sin or sins.

    * Obstinacy; unwillingness to seek God

    * Resisting the known truth.

    * Envy of another's spiritual welfare.

  • it is not contradictory. Jesus did die and with his death we are saved from sin HOWEVER we still do sin. Jesus did not get rid of sin he just made it possible to enter heaven. so because of that we still have to be baptized to remove original sin and still need the sacraments and confession to be able to enter heaven.

  • What about the thief on the cross?
