Salam, You can grab any Sufi follower in the world and you will see they will follow one of the Four Madhab and are Sunni, Sufi is not a sect. SUFISM is practice to gain sprituality and practice it. Sufism isn't a sect. Most of the world's muslims were converted to Islam by sufis, ppl frm Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, Central Asia, Africa. There is strong presence of sufis in Syria, Iraq and other Arab countries. To call sufism a sect is to offend majority of muslims.
Sufis follow the sunnah of prophet and the four schools of islamic law. However, they also blv in the inner path of cleansing the ego from their hearts so they can be pure mirrors of God's light.

Also, the big mistake your and others are making, is having in mind unless you speak arabic only then you can understand what Islam is All about. I did not understand one word of what is said in the video, but I must say that the agression in the comments to this video really scares and saddens me. Not knowing the word Kufr, I can say that I would rather be a Kufr and go to hell after this earthly life than being full of hatred and agression while I am living it - for this means to live in hell NOW. If Tasawwuf is bid'a then all of the Islamic sciences like Fiqh, Tafsir, Hadith which are necessary in preservation and transmission of Quran and Sunna are also bid'a... All of the greatest scholars of traditional Islam including 4 Madhab Imams accepted Tasawwuf. However, not all of them were Sufis...

I do read Al-Qu'ran very well in your language,if you thing you are more arab than I am. i am not although narrow minded. people do have gitfs from Allah (swt) that is different of prophethood. Knownledge, undersatnding and wisdom are part of humanbeings well before man was chosen as a prophet. leave Al-Qu'ran and Hadiths for a while and gaze around you surrounding and see how many things are they that give prayers to Allah (swt) everyday.

That's from your adab!Everyone have to go back to the original authentic books of Islam that NO Muslim can reject.Quran and for example (al bukhari).If you don't believe in Albukhari then there is no need for discussion aslan.Please read it in Arabic or your language, although the translation is never as good as the original.Only then you will see the prophet saying:"who ever invent anything new in this religion that I didn't come with, then it is reddah(thrown back in his/her face)"

The next day Nazim Haqqani replied sayig that he called Prophet Mohamed over the phone and asked if he should go on Aljazeera and prophet Mohamed said yes!!!

Assalamu alikom. I open Quran and read it in Arabic (my only language) everyday alhamdulelah. I also read the Sunnah of the prohpet.Exact words that were said by the prophet.I also read and learn from the great Ulamaa especially those at the 1st 3 centuries.All that only proves to me that Islam is Quran and Sunnah and any innovation in the basis of Islam is wrong and rejected.

sobhan Allah! There is no Hadith that says that neither in Bukhari nor in Muslim.These are the authentic books of Sunnah (or else you are not sunnah first place). Just read these books (or even one of them) and then talk. There is nothing called wahabya. This is the american media. There is one thing called following Quran and Sunnah purely without making up new rituals. Or else, I suggest praying 6 times everyday not 5, will you follow me?? ofcourse no one with a proper will do that.

to do something in Islam, does it have to come from these book or only when these books confirm it, brother stop being narrow minded. the sufism I known is profoundly rooted from Islamic priciples and very much related to what Al-Qu'ran says about "Zikr and Prayers onto Mohammed (pbh), as Him(swt) and His Angels do give prayers onto Mohammed (pbh). This my kind of sufism I refer to. What this people do it is their problem, I am not in any position to judge them.

Also, the big mistake your and others are making, is having in mind unless you speak arabic only then you can understand what Islam is All about. How wrong you all are, in fact majority of arab people give very little importants to most things that or dained by Allah parallel with the five pillars. Peharps, give a bit of attention to what they say, you might get some salvation from it.
