Oh boy, this is an old jujitsu kata that Kano adopted in Judo (can't remember the school it came from, sorry). Tomiki sensei used it as a basis for some of the core techniques in Tomiki aikido. It was typically done by men wearing armor, thus the "falling down" throws due to the weight of the armor. Loo up kano's book on Kodokan Judo, it is in the appendix
