I dont like MLG because they have to TWEAK the game in order to be called "Pros".

Do you think people got into the MLB or NFL becuase they tweaked the rules, no they play by the book and thats what makes them the pros. If you have to TWEAK a game type in order to be good at it thats just sad.

Okay. Here's the difference between them.

Sports are essentially made to be competitive. Halo 3 was made to be "fun". And since the default Halo 3 "fun settings" would not work in a competitive manner, MLG took it upon themselves to design their own rules and gametypes to make it well balanced between fun and competitive.

But I mean, look at the whole concept of sports nowadays. People play StarCraft, Counter-Strike, poker, whatever, and consider it a sport. They're just games, but people take it just as seriously as sports.

That's a bad example, because the NFL rules and MLB rules can be considered "tweaked" based on perspective. The NFL and MLB have much strickter rules than at college level because the players are at a higher skill level and having those rules makes it more competitive.
