  • miraculous beeflutter in a throatycloud

  • @posypity So agree my friend :-)))

  • beatrixed and 22:22.... love it!

  • @Arpeggio555 Lol its an amazing song, so pleased you enjoyed being-

    Beatrixed haha ;D

  • well, after I've been crushed, coloured and funked, than lazy and calm, I came to feel beatrixed....

  • @Arpeggio555 Haha cleverly said my friend, hope your enjoying

    all those experiences, :-)

  • perhaps it's Beatrix from Dante's inferno the lyrics seem to fit

  • @cherylw1958 Hi there, its a great thought, you could be right :))

  • yes, some of their songs are really good....

  • @frackus101 Hi there,they sure are :)

  • Beatrix Kiddo of 'Kill Bill'.....

  • @frackus101 Hi there, great track aint it my friend. :)

  • i'm on the weird part of youtube again :/

  • @shairadelapena Lol its good to weird every now & then :)

  • @beapollen Awe thanks babe, I luv this track to, I bought the

Chinese version of the Ring the other year on DVD, its really creepy,

but I cant understand a word sadly :(

  • @beapollen Liz did quite a few lead vocals as well as some

backing vocals for This Mortal Coil, her most well known hit

with them was the haunting "Song To The Siren" Xx ;-))

  • I like the scenes from The Ring in this. Goes very well with the song :)

  • @gemskii42 Hi there, thanks for that, I wasnt sure if the scenes from

the Ring would work with this amazing, almost Victoriana sounding track,

I like the images of the lady throwing herself elegantly from the cliff, she

reminds me of Beatrix. good to hear from you gemskii42 ;-))

  • this is the saddest song for me...

  • @daemona71 Hi there, the CTs sure tug at the heart strings with

so many of there songs, love this classy track to my friend :))

  • as for the video, I think we all must fall for the future-knowns. I thought Beatrix was

the author of the tales of Piggly Squink & Petter Ferl, or maybe those were ones I

wrote. I don't agree with Robin- I thought treasure-wonderful, but I always played

Aloysius Lorelei and Beatrix together. Those three work together beautifully. Like a

    musi-maxi-mixi-melody.

  • @posypity Hi there I agree Treasure was probably the CTs holy Grail,

A collection of perfection, sends chills and goosebumps through to the

very soul, I believe "Watchlar" was one of Robins fave CTs songs, check

out my video for that one my friend Xx ;-))

  • @shum65 hi there, i've been worried all day about my muderous-melonella joke.

i realise melonella is an illness after all, so i apologise if that caused offence. i have

a kind of foot-in-the-mouth sense of humour. my videos just started working again

so i'll check out your watchlar. if its not pixies at the bottom of the garden then i

expect it will be a surprise to me. that's how i imagined it [tintafabulations at teepany]

  • @posypity Hi there, dont worry my friend, you didnt offend

anyone Im sure, I certainly wasnt offended lol glad your able to

watch videos again, when that happens again, just close down

your computer and restart it again, that usually does the trick :))

  • very interesting "classical" structure of harmony :)

  • @DariaRock1 Hi there, I always get that period classical feel to

when hearing this amazing song, good to hear from you Daria :)

  • You´ve just made me want to touch her voice now, DavShum!!

    countless thumbs up to ye!

    Sollo : -)

  • @salsollo Wow thanks Sollo, its a delicious song this one,

Thanks for your lovely thumbs up my friend, lets all sing this

amazing track my friend, 1-2-3 ready? XxX ;-))

  • this song reminds me of the shadow temple music in zelda, ocarina of time. god i loved that game xD

  • @MrMerlin87 Hi there, it has such a haunting dreamy feel, and as

always, it supplies those goosebumps in abundance..thanks my friend :)

  • I guess most of these works Shum depend on your sleight of hands and "MIND" as well!

    another bloody great video, DShum!

    Every best wish,

    Sollo :p

  • @salsollo Yay, great to hear from you Sollo, love this song my friend,

its filled with drama, and has that dark Gothic-like quality to it.

So pleased you enjoyed this early video my friend, hope all is well with

    you and your family....

    Best Wishes from Dave. :p

  • sublime Gothic. LOVE IT!

  • @Ozone04p Hi there, your so right my friend, glad you enjoyed this classic :)

  • This makes me think of an old lonely woman listening to records and staring at a photo of her deceased husband all day.

  • @liquidzen56 HI there, guess it does conjure that impression my friend, for me I think

of Chintz & Lace, the Victorian era, good to hear from you my friend. :D

  • I LURVV THE BASSLINE IN THIS SONG

  • @IcyScythe Hi there, its a brilliant bass-line your right my friend, awesome track to :)

  • I love how majestic the rhythm is at the beginning. It blends really well with the vocals even though you wouldn't expect it to.

  • @HoverponiesForever Hi there, your so right theirs a kind of Moroccan sound at the

beginning, only Liz and the CTs could make it work so brilliantly, and as you say Majestically.

Like so many of their songs, they induce a trance-like state on hearing them,

Thanks for your fab comments my friend. :)

  • I love how majestic the rhythm is at the beginning. It blends really nicely with the vicals even though you might not expect it to.

  • rococo and surreal

  • @TRAVISBR7 What a track, what an album...genius indeed my friend. :)

  • Great stuff Shum, this is one of their very best tracks, subtle and beautiful as Bach, and yet still some kind of pop song, what sensitivity, maybe too much for this world, but still keep up the good work, this world must know this music!

  • @TheSanealaddin Hi there many thanks for your support, this is an awesome track,

I agree except for us the fans the world just wasnt ready and still isnt for such original

and emotional sounds, my quest was and is to make sure they still get heard today,

As we know, their music must be heard by all new generations to keep it alive..!!!

Cheers my friend, good to hear from you... :)

    Many thanks my friend.....

  • I love her voice more now that I did in the 80's only because in my 40's I have the capacity to love her more now than I did back then. Love Paul

  • @deephousedummy Hi there my friend, your so right, the older we get the better we

are able to both love and appreciate this bands immense talent.... :))

Great comments Paul, its good to hear from you m8....!!!!!

  • c'è anche il mio the ring! ;Y; =)

  • @Fredjonsi Hi there my friend, your quite right, their are some scenes from the

Horror film The Ring..included in this video, well spotted....!!! :)

  • Mystery solved Shum...it was this song that was titled Whisht before the release of Treasure...Thank google for that..it was bugging me.

  • @petesn Thanks for letting me know my friend, I was wondering

what the song was, mystery well and truly solved...!!!

  • Judging by the lyrics to the song, I'm inclined to view Beatrix as a woman with tendencies towards mental instability pushed over the edge - pun intended - by the suicide of her lover. Perhaps she attempts again and again to throw herself over a cliff, but something stops her each time - for example, she's locked in an asylum and doesn't know it! :)

  • @thePlagueCat Hi their, Its an amazing track, I like your thoughts

on its meaning my friend,l great comments.......!!!

  • I love the turquoise color in this video.Perhaps the Cocteau Twins wrote this inspired by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands? It is very nice.

  • @Newmegiant36050 Hi Their, thats a nice thought about the CTs

perhaps being inspired by Queen Beatrix, its an amazing song,

I,m glad you enjoyed the video, and the colours within it my friend..

Good to hear from you Newmegiant......!!!!!!

  • I like the Peel Sessions version of this song better.... If you've never heard it, you need to!

Good to hear from ya DetroitDiesel......

  • wack and gay

  • @royalnash Cheers mate........

  • @royalnash

for some reason, I'm crying with laughter over this comment. Maybe 'wack and gay' is the next 'wax and wane?' :P

  • @AnatanoMeniKiUtskshi Thats a cool idea m8, I can just hear Liz

singing out at full volume, "Wack and-d--d-d-d-Gayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.....!!!"

Its sure to be a huge hit....ha-ha...

  • @jcklenik83 Hi their, many thanks for your comments my friend, I hope you enjoyed

  • Hi mate, yeah I got my own version of that

track on my channel , I,ll try to send it 2 ya.

  • i've always pictured beatrix as a deranged and psychotic woman pulling her hair while spinning and doing arabesque in some kind of sordid bedlam asylum. its the sort of music she hears inside her head!

  • Hi jordimla..your picture of Beatrix sounds

a lot like the one I,ve put in my video, the

one constantly throwing herself off a cliff..

I like your imagery it sounds really cool...

Many thanx for your comments my friend.!!

  • First song by CT i heard it blowed me away the first second...What a mellody...

    Cool description virgincocteau lovers...

Checkout my videos mate, you,ll find the

amazing "Frou Frou Foxes" in their.....

Good to hear from ya mate....

  • There are 5 albums I will never be without:

The Banshee's Nocturne, Dead Can Dance's Wthin the Realm of a Dying Sun, U2's Unforgettable Fire, Sister's of Mercy's Floodland, and The Cocteau Twins' Treasure.

  • Hi mate..good album choices...!!

God..Could never pick my 5 faves..?

    Garlands/Treasure/Head Over Heels..for-

sure would all be in their, but theirs just so

    many others besides...???

  • @lycia69 wow!! all fabulous albums!

  • '.. Dying Sun' and 'Treasure', I can understand, but, as for the others, the phrase 'melt and use as ashtrays' comes to mind. :-)@lycia69

  • @StonefieldJim4 And that's your opinion. I don't care if you or anyone likes them...each of those albums means something to me/had an effect on my life in some way. And really, you comment on a post from 2 years ago???

  • Yes, it is my opinion - well spotted. You have yours; I have mine. Such is life. No need to take it so personally. After all, it was rather tongue in cheek. Incidentally, I assumed that a 2 year old comment would still be valid. No? P.S. I never forgave Siouxsie for her anti-Semitism (see "Love In A Void": "Too many Jews for my liking")@lycia69

  • Oh god! what a find, I love this...

  • Hi wixy...glad you enjoyed this amazing

    song mate...!!

    Check-out the "Treasure" album too...

    Take it easy.....!!

  • what a magical album. Treasure is perhaps the most appropriately named album in history. i'm often amazed at what were the events in 1984 that allowed them to create such an otherworldy masterpiece which had no precedent before or since.

  • Hi craybee06..Treasure is a heaven sent

gift from another realm for sure...!!

    Song after song,of pure genius...

I so agree with your comments my friend,

Its always a true honour to listen to this

    iconic,and inspiring album...

    Great hearing from ya mate...!!!

  • Mistrzowskie wideo do Cocteau Twins!!

    Gratulacione!

    comments....much appreciated my friend.!

Sorry for taking so long to reply...!!!!!

    Best Wishes to you....

  • I was doing work on my folks house and listening to my Treasure CD---I always knew what an awesome album it was but forgot what an especially haunting and wonderful track Beatrix is---but what makes the song even more perfect is this video. Perfect use of colors and hazes and hues and shadow. This video is awesome and going into my Favorites!

  • That's such a compliment my friend..!!!

    I,m very honoured,that you should pay-me

    such kind and generous praise.!!

I thank you Opie so much for that..!!!

Your so right about this class song,it,s so

haunting, another one of my faves too...

Great hearing from you dear friend..!!!

    And thanks again...

  • the most gothic/in habits song of Guthrie/Fraser/Raymonde's repertory. The very first song I've heard of the Cocteau Twins, I swear I've seen ghosts and lost souls flying around the complete darkness of my room, and my parents started thinking to call a therapist.

  • Hi their hammer..your right it really does

have a sense of the Gothic this ace track.

But I think the "Garlands" album is just so

    full of their darker side...too!!

Sounds fab in your room, with all those -

flying souls ..!! and what a top first song to come-across by the Cocteau's..!!

    Cheers mate....

  • my super-hot latina GF and i plan to have 10 children, so we can name each one after a song from this album. i already feel sorry for poor Otterley...

  • Hi their...Otterley could cause a problem?

But on the other hand..its different....

Your definitely gonna be busy either-way!

    Best wishes mate..!!

  • That's pretty funny, though the titles have always kinda put sway on some of my favorite female names, like you two. Anyways, TREASURE, indeed. This album very firmly grabbed a hold of my senses at my tender age of 16. Heaven or Las Vegas was my intro disc, but whatever order - it's all gold.

  • Hi laarana...like you Treasure has always

been a firm favorite of mine too..!!

I love all those female names used for

their song titles...Amelia being my fave.!!

    As you say..its all gold...!!!

Nice hearing from you my friend...!!

  • Brilliant, beautiful and sad, one of my favourite songs ever, and the video fits it perfectly.

    Respect :-)

  • Your very kind my friend..!!!

    Much appreciate your ace comments..!!!

Your so right about this song..its full of -

    all kinds of emotions...atmosphere...joy-

despair... you have great insight groinhat-
