  • i bet the wheelie bar wheels dont last very long!!!

  • holy shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit

  • Robbie Ward you are a LEGEND

  • boner achieved

  • AWESOME! You don't need no stinkin V8 to get those wheels off the ground!

  • what do you mean by street trim? lol

  • Full interior, full street legal exhaust, all lights, indictaors, wipers, fully treaded street legal tyres, petrol, fully registered and warranted for the street. We only add the wheelie bars and chute to pass safety inspection at the strip, other than that it was regularly driven on the street and fully legal to do so :-)

  • Sickness lol. Things raw. So this run was made on pump? And what kinda fully treaded tires were those? They where fat as hell.

  • Tyres were Hoozier quick times, fully legal and treaded (wet weather suitable) the same alot of guys use on there street hotrods, 29 x 16.5 x 15 from memory.

  • Even sicker, had no idea they made treatded tires that damn big lol.

  • But calling them full street tires is a bit of a stretch.

  • How so? if they are fully legal tyre anyone can use on the street in a street legal car and they are wet weather suitable and comply with road rules, they are a street tyre, size has nothing to do with it IMO especially when alot of street T buckets and hot rods that never see the strip use them.

  • Just a strange concept to me for some reason lol. They're tires meant for the strip, not the road, though they are fully 100% road legal right?

  • No, they arn't strip specific tyres that just happen to be road legal like some big tyres out there, in fact they are crap on the strip, the tyres used in this video are street tyres for street hotrods/t buckets etc, once we got into mid 8s with these tyres, we changed to a decent strip tyre and dropped to 7.8s real quick.

  • Ahh so their that big just to fit thouse buckets?

  • damn

  • Was the start the same for the skyline and the 240z?

  • Your state road legislation must be pretty slack to allow chutes to be on a car... surely poppping the chute (not that you need to) on the streets would be illegal?... not to mention down right dangerous.

It's interesting how the laws around the world for "street legal" cars differ... here in Australia, we'll never have the quickest street legal car, not 'cos we don't know how to, legislation is just too strict.

    By the way... impressive ride...!

  • you dont actually use the chute on the road its just there cos its a hassle to take off

  • Yeah, in america a street legal car could run below 7s. In italy you can't even change the air intake without having the police annoy you

  • that blue car didnt do a bad job keeping up.

  • Bam bam Bam PQWOW!!!!!

  • its badass but how the hell is it "full street trim" when the 240z had drag slicks and a parachute? ;)

  • Cheers, Untill we got below 8.7s we were on a fully treaded street tyre, then went to a MT street, then below 8.4s we went to a slick, the parachute is just a safety item we have to add when at the strip although it is actually street legal to have a chute on the back.

  • damm. pure sweetness

  • Holy Crapola that was incredible!! I've got a 12 sec. 240Z running Dual SU's and it makes mine seem like a Yugo! Congrats Simply Awesome!!

  • Lol, cheers for the comments, check my other vids, it now does 7.8 @ 176mph :-)

  • daaaaaaaaaamn

    sweet badass ride

    goodluck

  • he said he also has a 240z but it only does a 13sec., and he is fixing a 280z right now.

o and sick video, that image will never fade away.

  • NOW that's what i'm talking about sick run i can't get enough of it i will be using an rb26 in my 70 z

  • Awesome Rob,

Look even better Down Fenton st

  • I have a new header kit in the box waiting me to get started building a new set. (The ones on the car are crushed on the bottom from aborting a few wild wheel stands.) They are also almost 20 years old. I just need to get motivated to get started. After watching that video of yours...that just might do it.

Keep me posted, I want to know when that sub 9 second time slip is in your hand. You are going to get there before I do.

  • already changed his license plate from "easy 9s" to "easy 8s". RIPS has the fastest 240z worldwide

  • Keep the front end down....I say let er Rip... RIP. 400 more hp? What the heck you gonna do with that? LOL My car is doing pretty well. I have only been able to cruise around on the street a few times with the weather her in Kansas being as it is. It is cooling tremendously well, so I think that deal is finalized now. Our tracks here don't open up until around last of March or early April. That's not too far off, but I am itching to make a pass with the blades standing horizontal.

  • Wow!!!!

Man... your killin me here :)

I have got the fever sooooo bad. That was a real nice pass. You need to bring that dude to the midwest. We could put on a show together!!!!

  • Its your car that inspired me man, thank you!! We are slowly winding the power in, we have about 400hp more to add so it'll be good once we can keep the front down, hows yours commin along?
