Watch the runner at first in the video. He knows that it is all going to come down to the play at the plate. He really should have been advancing to 2nd on the throw to the plate. Once he saw Holliday heading for the plate, there is little risk in advancing. Had Holliday been called out and the runner remained at 1st (NOT in scoring position), that would have been viewed as a HUGE baserunning blunder.
