  • this reminds me a lot of black swan...

  • Mental illness is a terrible handicap, when your brain is sick your whole body is sick. :(

  • she just goes crazy at the end. she doesnt kill herself.

  • THERE IS NO ROPE. THERE IS NO SUICIDE. READ THE STORY.

  • @ktdcsix There is a rope... "I've got a rope up here that even Jennie did not find. If that woman does get out, and tries to get away, I can tie her!"... Read the story.

  • yea i dun agree with that interpretation n i think the wallpaper is a bit too symmetric xD?but i like the creepy crawling feeling^^of that woman

  • That is not how it ends

  • very enjoyable to watch and a good visual on the piece of work thumbs up

  • Great story, and a great take on it

  • If she hung herself, she wouldn't still be writing the journal O_o

  • @xMarquiseDeSade "If she hung herself, she wouldn't still be writing the journal O_o". Not so. She could have written that in her journal b4 hanging herself and if she became a ghost, like the ending implied with "now I have to walk over him every night", then she coulda written it after her death. And what the fuck does O_o mean?

  • @todell57455 it's "every time" not "every night." She doesn't haunt John, she's just goin around and around in circles and every time she reaches John she has to crawl over him.

  • Wonderful interpretation... The rope is used as a metaphor, it has 1,000 meanings behind it- not including the ones you find on your own. Do not limit yourself to the blunt end of text.

  • @nuckapunk that rope was to hang the person she saw behind the wall.

  • Nice work! Our English teacher played this in class :)

  • she didnt hang herself...........

  • First of all, the greatest thing about this poem is that because of the way the author wrote the story it allows each reader to interpret it differently. NOT INCORRECTLY, just differently.

When I read it, I imagined the woman seeing her shadow and the shadows of trees cast onto the yellow wall by the sun/moonlight. The room is meant to have a large window with bars on it. She also talks about the woman outside, her reflection in the glass.

Take from it what you want, it's just what I saw.

  • @monetsghost

    thats a mazing

    your interpretation is really terrefic

  • @monetsghost Um...The Yellow Wallpaper isn't a poem, it's a short story.

  • you have missed loads of paragraphs and that doesnt help when you need to do an essay on it!!!

  • @DRUMMERATHEART1712 read the story then its not too hard to write on such a short story

  • She said she was going to use the rope to tie up the creeping woman if she tried to run

  • @nuckapunk well she didnt hang herself. she was going to use the rope to tie up jenny if she walked in. she states it so.

  • Wow. I loved every second of this. Good show. It's such a dark poem. Perfectly done.

  • this is so scary!!!! good job though!

  • freaky but well done
