Yes, two main points here (not connected). She screwed her town by building a 20 million dollar sport complex (thinking everyone will use it because she likes sports and was a gym teacher and sports announcer) but since only 6000 people live in the city and NOT everyone likes sports, her idea failed. Creationism is NOT "just as valid" as evolution. Creationism and all of the hundreds of different variations from different religions are all based on faith. Evolution is a scientific fact based on observable evidence. Science teachers should not teach theology, there is plenty to teach already and they can't possibly start going through every possible story of how we got here that was made up hundreds or thousands of years ago. Abortion is conducted before the fetus has developed nerves and can survive on it's own; until then (and read any book on ethics) it is considered to be like a virus, needing a host to survive. You're correct in saying their populations have increased, but ask any wildlife biologist or look at any projections (not from Fox News) and due to the melting of the arctic within the next 50 or so years, polar bears will most certainly be on the Endangered Species list.

Yes, two main points here (not connected). She screwed her town by building a 20 million dollar sport complex (thinking everyone will use it because she likes sports and was a gym teacher and sports announcer) but since only 6000 people live in the city and NOT everyone likes sports, her idea failed. The fact that she is buds with Big Oil is enough info alone to not trust her....maybe some of the money she got from big oil was for her campaigning or her bridge to nowhere or her sports complex.

Creationism is NOT "just as valid" as evolution. Creationism and all of the hundreds of different variations from different religions are all based on faith. Evolution is a scientific fact based on observable evidence. Science teachers should not teach theology, there is plenty to teach already and they can't possibly start going through every possible story of how we got here that was made up hundreds or thousands of years ago. I wouldn't mind an elective class on religion though.

So besides a lot of your reasons tweaking the truth, a lot of them have already come out not to be true. The banning of books, the Iraq war being from God (was from Abraham Lincoln quote originally), did not slash funding to teenage mothers, doesn't support teaching creationism in school, but wants it so that if it comes up in discussion will be allowed, firing a police chief that challenges your authority & undermines you constantly would make sense, I would like to research the rest

She DID inquire about banning books (how many governors do that?) and the Librarian ain't talking (hmm, I wonder why?). She DOES support teaching Creationism along side with Evolution (which is ridiculous). I'll have to do some double research on the other facts, but I wouldn't doubt her God comments at all (given the amount of time she went to that church). Thanks

They look just like any other animal actually (look up "embryology" and you'll see some pictures in google images). I'm not sure what else you're yapping about being "free" without sacrifice. Canada is free (along with many other countries) and they're not killing 100,000's of Iraqis for oil. Lets look at this a different way, that little sperm and egg (even if they are alive) have absolutely no thinking or feeling ability. I care more for the fish I raise in my fishtank than those sex cells. Every 30 seconds, a child dies from malaria in this world, a real human child that can think and feel and now has a family. Why don't you put your energy into helping something realistic? More unwanted humans in a already-to-populated world is cruel to both them and the planet.

The world is much better? That's relative, recent research shows Americans are actually less happy than they were in th 50's. Abortion should be a tiny issue, but stupid people vote in Presidents for their faith-based issues instead of real ones. The process of life is when a healthy and very much alive sperm cell, fertilizes an egg which is also alive. Conception happens a voila a human life begins to grow. No matter what it looks like, how small, at what stage, how insignificant people may think it is, it is still a HUMAN LIFE. This is the process of LIFE, not the process of death. The embreyo is alive, even on a molecular level. Even scientists cannot refute that fact. So really, the definition is called Murder!!

Abortion is conducted before the fetus has developed nerves and can survive on it's own; until then (and read any book on ethics) it is considered to be like a virus, needing a host to survive. What is unethical is to force this virus to grow up into a world where parents don't want it or aren't ready to have it. They resort to crime, are uneducated and unwanted (look at statistics). Murder is done to human begins; embryos, blastulas, and early fetuses are NOT like us yet.

now we look at our children as viruses. If it were a virus, the body would fight it off and dispose of it, which it doesn't. Now, once the child is born, it may breath and think on it's own, yet still requires a "host" to survive, like a mother and father. So if it is in the womb or out, it still is alive, it is just growing. My wife was pregnant 3 times and will definitely tell you those little ones are alive. And not all books are factual, they are someone elses opinions, scholars or not.

A woman feeling different doesn't mean she can "feel" there is "life" in her (she's biased). And abortion IS CERTAINLY ETHICAL...I strongly encourage you to pick up a book, it'll also talk about the death penalty, euthanasia, homosexuality, etc...ethicists connect our social responsibilities in much more in depth ways than these tip of the ice-berg conversations.

You're correct in saying their populations have increased, but ask any wildlife biologist or look at any projections (not from Fox News) and due to the melting of the arctic within the next 50 or so years, polar bears will most certainly be on the Endangered Species list.
