for me this beta shows just how much improvement epic has done for the gow series, smooth and detailed environments, more detailed character designs and whatnot, and the pace is amazing now, really fast unlike how crappy it is back in gears 2

i dont get why people complain way too much about this and that weapons being overpowered etc, lots and lots to complain, you cant please everybody, imo they just need to get better with the game

SAWED off and retro lancers are unbalanced. I've shot someone 3 times with a GNASHER and all he does is roll to me and insta kill me with a SAWED off. Not even the GNASHER can beat the Retro at close range. Garbage players just spray the retro lancer all over the place and end up downing you. And because of those 2 guns garbage players can hop on Gears 3 and think they are good, when they really aren't.

The only problem i had with the weapons was the retro lancer, that thing is definitely over powered. Considering there is literally nothing you can do to make it anything more than a crap shoot, theres not a skill curve to balance it out like with other weapons in this game. Frankly i feel that it is a pointless weapon for scrubs to make the learning curve easier. What they should do is make hammerburst a burst weapon again from GOW1, lancer the same and have retro be the new HB

yea its the best gears game but sawed off and retro are really op, i have been usiing the retro thru the last 2 or 3 days of the beta and it was so easy to get kills....but its still a great game and now i miss it O_O

The beta was good it just wasn't great it got boring really fast and the retro and sawed off at times got so annoying, the full game though will be amazing and i am looking forwad to it but i still don't think it will beat gears1.

I really think the sawed off is too powerful for these 2 reasons:

1. the spread is huge the retical almost takes up the whole screen! The spread needs to be lowered. To many times has a person completely miss and catch my feet with the sawed off while jumping to the side.

2. The range is a little to long. It is a sawed off shotgun so it should kill you up close but there are times when at medium range that i will be downed by one shot from the sawed off. I should not be downed just red!

Yes they are powerful when active as they should be but in no way was i upset or feeling like they were unbalanced !! I understand why some people think that but its probably cause your team or the way you approached the situation !!!

@ALM1GHTY360 yea I approached the situation as fight fire with fire and started using that load-out (retro/sawed off) against them and the game turned into easy mode. I'm trying to work on my HB so i can be at yo level lol. Could you put up a commentary on your thoughts about the beta with the good and bad things that was in it?

@ALM1GHTY360 dude the retro is fucking stupid, Epic could bring down the damage a little bit and improve the accuracy of it at long range and the hipfire from close range is lethal u have no way to counter it unless u try and wall bounce but even then because of stopping power it's hard.

The only weapons everyone including myself think need a nerf are the sawed off and Retro Lancer everything else is fine about the game. I do believe the HB may need some toning down when it comes to the active reload tho but that's about it. Good beta hated that they took away the dedicated servers tho :/.

the sawed off under no circumstances should one shot down. also people who use the retro should have to aim and not just hip fire. also i think you should be able to choose the gorgon smg as your default.

@voodoochild346...if the sawed off wasnt so powerful in close battles whats the point of having it ?? it has to be more powerful than the gnasher but be balanced for the game...hence why you only get 4 shots and takes so much longer to reload !! Yes i get killed by the sawed off alot but its my own fault for putting ky self in that situation !! Other than that i can hold my own never using a shotty !!

@ALM1GHTY360 one shot down meaning getting down but not out from 15 feet. either it should be a kill or not. i get tired of getting killed by scrub who aren't good enough to kill me from close enough range. if a person can't get a clean kill with a gun made for scrubs then i don't think that person should be rewarded a one shot down when i've taken no damage previously.
