  • Assalamo alaikum baji, love the halwa recipe, looks yummy, only one thing baaj, nutmeg is considered haraam by scholars because it is intoxicating...apart from that will definitely try the recipe, looks deeeeeelicious. JazakAllah khair.

  • I have been look for this for years. I didn't know it was called sooji halwa. We just call it halwa. Do you eat it in your hand? My mom only makes it on special occasions. I don't think she used condensed milk, but I never saw her make it so I don't know. She doesn't like anyone in the kitchen when she is cooking.

  • @Sood81 thats not pakistani or indian recipe. its made very differently in our countries. i will show that some day!

  • @Bajiascooking no what you made here looks exactly like what my mom makes. I know there is also something else she makes which really crumbles a lot, I don't know what it is called. I think she just makes it with milk...I'm not so good with knowing ingredients. I usually just eat, I never make anything.

  • @Bajiascooking Condensed sweet milk does not contain such a ratio of sugar as much your Halwa needs. Other wise every thing is good in the recipe. so why not you add some sugar?

  • @shanje11 its not needed. all what i have shown on this channel with sweetened milk need no additional sugar.

  • i dont like mixed fruit can i used only dry fruits like almond and pistachios.thanx

  • dont eat the fruit but add a little. to get and understand the real taste. try in small quentity. mix fruit has all the citrus peal as well and it has strong taste. get the very basic one. watch box carefuly to know what and what it has got. because we must avoid cinamon touch in fruit mix. its addes in all big and expencive ones.

  • bajia...mein meri saas ko yeh halwa bana ker khilaun gi.... woh apne halwe mein doodh nahi pani istemaal kerti hai..aur mujhe uska zayeqa pasand nahi. InshAllah main unhein yeh recipe tayyar kerke khilaun gi..shayad woh apni recipe change ker dein.

  • it is powerful and usefull you can cook in it as a pot! much better then elec frying pan. jis cheez ko bhi presure na dena ho is main banalo. murghi, sabzi.

    Halwa to bara he khushboodar aur maze daar banta hai germ germ bohot acha lagta hai. Doodh meetha dalna hai, ye he sab poochte hain cheeni kahan hai 

  • Allah -7, we are touching 40s all day air-conditioning is on. Evenings are excellent for a cup of tea outdoors. Just light fan during night time. mera credit thora he hai halwah ka, Fiji walon ko jata hai. phir meethey ka to ye jana hai ke recipe se ziyada aqal se acha banta hai :)) sab daal do, her qisam ka doodh, cream.....:))

  • Doodh meetha hai nan. Its sweetened condensed milk. So no sugar needed at all.

  • can u tell the recipe of egg halwa and loki halwah.plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz bata dein..

  • Loki halwah just guessing. Cut loki, pressure with water, open & dry, add lots butter or desi ghee, bhoon till change color, add one can sweetened condensed milk, make it thick then add dry full cream powder milk if one cup mixture left 1 cup power milk. Cook till turn khoya.

    Ande ke halwy ka to andaza bhi nahin .

  • I wanted to try this recipe yesterday. As I starting I realised you don't use Sugar! Is that normal?

  • We added sweetened condensed milk, it is sweet enough. We dont need sugar.

  • KHAIR MUBARAK, tum ko bhi bohot mubarak, ye halwah germ germ bara he acha lagta hai khoob khushboo aati hai. Khuda kare sheer khurma acha bane.

  • I like working in cups. So 1cup Sooji and 1/2cup Butter.

    Now about the condesed Milk and the cream. Could you say exactly how many cups of each?

  • Thanks for liking the recipe. The wok is made by sunbeam it comes in 2 sz, this is the large one. They are superb and long lasting. Comes with the glass lid. This one I have been using from last 10 years. Always use wooden spoon.

  • Condensed milk 395ml, milk 200ml, cream 300ml, approximately.

    I usually measure every thing in condensed milks can. Sab baraber baraber.

    I had things in small pickings so I used them. I large cup of each item if fine.
