What you are saying is accurate, but it isn't the whole truth. I think it is the fact that you can be on the same level economically and have the same prospects, but still won't have to suffer some of the indignities and harassment that is still prevalent today for Blacks
It isn't a convenient stereotype it is a painful fact that Blacks have never fully enjoyed the peace of mind and freedoms that whites don't accept that they have. Many people are hurting and few people care to understand...sad
