@evaggeliamy they might not be "together" but throughout this entire series they were always involved. always emotionally invested in one another. so, for big to hear that carrie is suddenly picking up and moving to paris - and for him to ask such innane questions - it certainly harkens back to the beginning of the series and truly shows that big is finally read to be as comitted to carrie as she was to him all along.
