  • thats a tuning problem try puting it on the ground get it moving then retune it

  • Try holding it up and accelerate slowly

  • what did u do? i have the same problem

  • My savage XL shuts down when I pull the braeks

  • @semion2003 you sure your not running it rich because it shutting down under braking is a sign of it being rich

  • @semion2003 turn down throttle trim, screw in the idle screw 1/4 turn, start engine, pull breake, if it still cuts out repeat untill work, if it dont work or got any other problems pm me, im alwase happy to help

  • It is high speed needle man

  • to rich

  • Typical noob

  • needs to be tuned

  • Your running to rich

  • Adjust the carb, prob not good to leave the glow plug ignitor on to long either...

  • Let it run for a few mins mine done it and I left it for like 3 mins and It was fine

  • bottom end is to lean......

  • oh and dont full fottle it it will stall cuz its a big engin its got more comprestion and bigger head to worm up so lil revs at a time till its worm then it wont stall :)

  • well the first thing i see is you need to let it sit and idle for a minute or 2. then to also get it wormed up just drive it around your house. give it just enought gas to get it moving. thats what i did cus i was having that same problem

  • @MRMOTORMAN23 hes right it needs to worm up its trying to go nd ur stopping it so it stalls

sit it to idle for about a minite nd put it on somthing so all 4 wheels can run freely and give it a few revs :)

  • hey , someone plz help when i try to start my savage X it dosnt start until i give gass it runs entil i use the brake then it shuts off???? any ideas???

  • @tollakt your problem is in linkage

  • Put it on the ground instead of not letting the wheels spin it might not stall then also way to rich

  • my diagnosis: too rich, idle too high and too noob

  • return it to base settings or open the idle speed by taking the air filter of and looking at the gap in the carb when there is no throttle and ajust the idle speed on the carb and make the gap bigger but not to big or it will rev very high and accelerate and it will try to run a way

  • bad tuning and take ur glow ignitor out unless you want to burn out ur glow plug

  • zu wenig sprit

  • way too rich lean it out a bit.

  • Maybe the motor is to cold. Try To let it run for half a minute and sligtly increase the speed

  • Try putting your truck back to base settings on the carb. Then put it on a block to get the wheels off the ground. Start it and take the glow pulg starter off after about 5 seconds and let you truck warm up for a minute. Then tune it as per hpi video/manual.

  • just tune it

  • Your engine is way to rich. Turn the high speed needle to the right or clockwise to lean it out.
