The dark Demon was one of the hardest final bosses I've ever fought in a video game. however it's the only way to get the real final ending of the game.a true pain in the D***!

Oh, so you are trying to beat him with the "Legendary Gargoyle" instead of the "Ultimate Gargoyle" that is the challenge of all challenges when it comes to demons crest! Not much I can say about it other then Good Luck!

this is not actually the last boss , when you beat him if you got everything in the game (everything) , you fight the dark demon which is way harder than him

Good stuff. I swear by the fang talisman and not armor, though. Adds an extra element of excitement. I remember this boss taking forever to beat during my first few plays through.

You need to collect 100% of the items in order to fight the third form of Phalanx.

Im shocked i beat him when i was 7. i played the game again recently and im 16.STILL hard. man,he is one heck of a final boss.

It's the sequel. The first one was on Gameboy, second on NES. All made by Capcom.

This boss is really really hard. You have to be 110% accurate to his face. Not even a shot in the vicinity would touch him. And he's not even the final boss! The next guy is easier though.

u must have all the crests and abilities so u can fight him, and after u kill him another level appears and u can fight another boss, the real last boss.

@vukeno yep, and when you compare the final form of phalanx to the dark demon, well, let me put it this way. The dark demon actually makes the final form of phalanx look easy...Even skilled players usually need all six health potions to stand a chance against the real last boss.
