Wow. I thought I was the only named my husky "Silver" hehe. Beautiful dog! My Silver is gone. Put to sleep this afternoon for kidney failure and she was 14years old.

Females are normally smaller than males. On average, females should be about 35-50 lbs and roughly 21 inches at the shoulder. Males are usually 50-60 lbs and 23 inches. Many people have a lot of mis-conceptions about Siberian Huskies, they aren't big dogs. If you want the same but bigger, than the Alaskan Malamute is the dog you're looking for. Normally they are almost twice the size of a Siberian, but very similiar in appearance.

My husky is a female at 8 months and she's the same size.. maybe bigger than this husky, females can get pretty big too!!! lol

Females are can be up to 10cm smaller than a male siberian husky.
