Holy mother of jesus, almost tears in my eyes. I have no idea why I suddenly remembered this game but I just had to find it. Oh the memories! And this was the disc with Metal Gear Solid? God damn those were the days. I would give anything to experience the same feeling I had back then. Life was so simple.

My remake, Gems'n'Rocks, is now available free from the Intel Appup Center. Well, it's not really a remake; it's just inspired by Rocks'n'Gems---the gameplay mechanics are essentially the same.

Lvl 23 - 'Intense'

Lvl 34/44? - 'Big Rumble'

Lvl 59 -' Blubb Blubb'.

I'm in the process of making this game in C++. I don't think it will be as well animated, but it's otherwise the same. The physics are a bit different though. For example, a round rock will roll off another round rock or a gem, but not a square rock because they are "stackable", i.e. you can put stuff on top of a square rock without it rolling off. I already made a shitty version in VB. it was two player (using the same keyboard). You could play cooperatively or verses each other =)

Doubt it mate, I know someone who picked up loads of official PlayStation magazines with their demo discs for around a fifth of that price on eBay. Had to travel a bit to pick them up, but still...
