Dudes!!! best movie ever !!! when I was a grom I would watch it on VHS every day before heading down to the beach hahaha so inspirational. I love the soundtrack as well .... Fing awesome!!! Thanks for posting
how many guys do you see paddling out while their surfing NONE not like these days. I'd give anything to surf these waves with a few mates. The old days never to be seen again.
and actually check out a movie called Single fin Yellow, and check out Nat Young son, Beau Young surfing a similar board from his father... very good...
this song is one of "4", from this album, yes vinyl (weeeeeeeee), in my TOP 50 BEST SONGS OF ALL TIME !!
the album rates extremely high in my TOP 50 BEST ABLUMS OF ALL TIME also
will their ever be another album so real?... im going to be listening to this until i shuffle off this earth... and it will be a beatiful "morning of the earth" too... the world needs to hear this.
Yep one of my fave songs and this is my all time fave movie, it so spiritual, i cant believe they can actually justify putting this absolute punk, rap, bla bla bla impression on surfing today. it makes me want throw up. this movie shows the real meaning of surfing. being one with the ocean, and having peace out in the water, thats how i view surfing and always will.
I've just updated the info for this vid. BJStar66 let me know that there is a new G. Wayne Thomas website, so there is a link to the site in the video info. Well worth a look!
Please thank him for the inspiring music... Question: where can we get his music in the American continent? (or anywhere for that matter) I am from Mexico and have looked for his music since I first saw MOTE 11 years ago in Australia and have never suceeded except here in youtube. Thank you !
I most certainly thanked GWT for you for his inspiring music, and he was really touched. As to your question of where to get hold of his music in Mexico, I shall have to get back to you on that one. This is just a quick reply to acknowledge your comment & question. I shall reply to you again when I have the answer. Thanks for sharing!
G.Wayne Thomas with that. I too am a fellow Queenslander born, and I shall push forward the case further tomorrow. Though it's not GWT who is running this show, he can still put the question to the production company. Would be great though wouldn't it? So glad you asked!
Mmmm. I don't think they really knew just how popular this production was going to be! I have a funny feeling it's going to be touring more places and for a lot longer than any of them imagined. Again, thanks for bringing up a dam good question about a QLD show, and I shall do my best to push it forward.
G. Wayne Thomas (Wayne) was NEVER in the band Flake. He was born Graeme Wayne Thomas & went by the name Wayne Thomas. In the early 70's there was a drummer Wayne Thomas who was in Flake. To avoid the growing confusion between the two musicians, Wayne put the initial "G" infront of his name, thus becoming G. Wayne Thomas. For those of you who've wanted to know what that "G" stands for, now you know. I still think it stands for "GENIUS"!
G. Wayne Thomas also produced many Bands and Artists in the 70's. All of Jon English's early hits, Autumn's 2nd album "Comes Autumn" and many other artists. He won awards for writing jingles for advertising companies. He was the 1st to have his own record label "Warm & Genuine". He is a Genius. He has an awesome voice that one never tires of listening to. His music makes you feel good. There WILL be more info on him very soon. I shall keep you posted. Promise.
Cheers for the info. Agree with you 100%, he's one really talented tunesmith and his voice is fantastic.
I see Aztecmusic in Oz seem to have plans to issue the Crystal Voyager soundtrack with another album of Thomas's songs but can't find any specific reference, so don't know if it's out yet.
He's an Australian songwriter/musician/producer, probably best known (outside of Australia), for his songs and performances on Morning of the Earth (the soundtrack of which he produced), and the soundtrack of Crystal Voyager.
He was a founder member of the Sydney based band Flake(active member 1968-72 and when they reformed 1989-91), the Australian band Duck, etc.
Yes meldunks1974, G. Wayne Thomas is truly SENSATIONAL and he is my Music Hero! I know where he is, and YES he'll be back. Keep your ears and eyes open. Either that or I'll keep you posted, cause there are a few things on the boil right now as we speak. Exciting stuff! I'll pass on to him your sentiments.
I grew up on this - thanks so much for posting - ***WATCH OUT FOR THE MORNING OF THE EARTH TOUR in 2012!!***

Would be great! Saw the story on 7.30 report so I guess with national coverage it would draw a huge crowd - just like the old days. Cheers.
