  • Instead of flying RC why the heck don't they get busy and actually HELP some people ?

  • @FoolDoolMoolDool

Because they work for insurance, they dont help people, they rob them...

  • Why would U need a payload for water and medicine if ur close enough to fly the helicopter? Just go hand them some!!!

  • ...hey, I want to see what that hogged-up Huey can do...!!

  • Their just being lazy. Let me know when they can see through concrete and then i'll believe their for disaster rescue... Right now there just for spying on cars and gardens.

  • Why am I thinking it would be fun to shoot it down?

  • i have the same thing on my trex 450 ..

1 persons enough if you know how to fly ..

and now theres AUTO PILOT with way points .. man it got way better

  • people do this with rc helicopters and planes all the time. it's not new, it's not extraordinary

  • Where can I get one of those

  • They look like the Ghost Busters :D

  • this is an interesting video. thanks!

  • You need the "Draganflyer x6" it's an incredibly versatile, agile and stable platform for all kinds of aerial photography

  • again americans, hurricane, not hurry-ken.

  • its just a trex clone... sall you need to know.. nothin special here, walk away ^.-

  • if you want better images, get Chris Angel to fly around with a camera, it'll be a real MIIIIIIINNDDDD FREEEEAAAK!

  • @xericbmx

Chris Angel is a Douche. Looks like one, dresses like one, acts like one, sounds like one...he must be one...

  • @FuriousVigor Great your a grown up

  • why are the showing a preview of mindfreak if this channel is serious

  • she looks like a who

  • its funny that they wear a helmet to fly a RC helicopter

  • ...umm, i'm guessing they haven't tried helicommand

  • Its probably front heavy, thats why its not the best flying

  • thats awsome!!!!

  • 0:25 it says "Gunea Pig" lol :)

  • Comment removed

  • if i saw that in the sky i would shoot it down wit my paintball gun/slingshot /or a air soft gun

  • what a piece of crap on the tail rotor. The gyro doesn't wor correctly.. HK401 ? :p In additiion, the camera mount hasn't got any stabilizer. They need to improve that

  • nice cam :)

  • Hired a guy to take aerial photographs of our office building after Hurricane Ike. It was only the pilot but he had sunglasses with just half of one lens as the viewfinder for the camera. He had no problem getting PLENTY close to the building even flying in a window at one point. His copter was nitro powered and quite a bit bigger but he had no problem operating camera and copter simultaneously while piloting in third person view. I'd just hire him for $100/hr. rather than paying these dorks

  • The heli is not even flybarless.

Put a Mikado Vbar on it and it would be lot more stable.

  • for over 20k they should use a vario xl-c for this. they can put 15kg equipment on the xl-c and it flys like on rails

  • Was that women in the helmet Katrina.? She blows.

  • heli command= balance, several small micro cams on a split screen spotter? , of course you could make the heli a tad bigger and teach a chimp to pilot it

  • i really hate how most of the uav's on youtube are just shit''y toys with cameras strapped to them that only run for like 12/15 mins

  • is it collective pitch? fly upside-down? lol

  • wich heli is it?

  • a job that you could enjoy

  • Join the military :)

  • @FuriousVigor he meant helicopter XD.... UAVs are mostly plane

  • Wouldn't a boom-mounted camera (off of the tail boom) to give a third-person perspective suffice for piloting?

    Awesome heli!

  • well then there would be the problem with balancing the heli but good idea

  • RC helis are not stable enough for this type work. Even hard to stabalize with auto pilot. Search microdrone 4 rotor uav. Much more stable.

  • @thecracken9

the pilot in the video was probably not very experienced, or the setup was poor. but helicopters like this when properly setup are more the stable enough. i know some local AP guys which use similar helicopters and get great results.

  • @FuriousVigor The pilot is fine. It's that camera contraption that's changing the balance of the heli, and catching the wind.

  • @FuriousVigor and not only some local guys. we have 2,5 meters rotor diameter turbine propelled heli which is remarkably stable and have just so mild flight while can carry 5 kg camera and fly for one hour

  • Sorry but systems like microdrone are over priced and have very low pay load capcity. Paying 25K Euros for something I want it to carry a real camera.

For the same money I can buy a turbine helicopter fully loaded that can handle weight and some wind. Companies like thhis one and Draganfly have to get a little more realistic in there pricing.

But I guess they are trying to get rich off of big companies that don't know any better. Law enforcement etc.

  • @thecracken9 Draganflyer X6!

  • you could spy on your ex fucking your ex best friend and drop bombs groovy

  • @trahcceb sucks to be you

  • usefulL!

  • thats pretty cool

  • good idea.....

  • nice cam on the heli

  • Cool. I love rc helicopters. 5 rating.

  • It's a lot cheaper than a manned helicopter.

  • mecardo

  • built by a german company called "........"?

  • Mikado

  • I was in Louisiana post Katrina to help with disaster relief. I am an R.C. enthusiast, and recently got into RC helicopters. After seeing seemingly thousands of REAL helicopters flying all over the gulf coast immediately after Katrina, I imagined smaller RC/robotic helis flying around doing initial surveys. I guess I wasn't too far off the mark.

  • the heli or the camera needs to by gyro/gps stabilized this still looks primitive but it know it will improve as technology already exists

  • Could you imagine a swarm of these badboys flying around warzones with guns and viewing equipment mounted to 'em? Everytime your unit was shot down you could just hit START OVER...

  • yeah the same idea was implemented in the game deadrising....

  • There are prototype RC helicopters already flying with a remote controlled automatic shot gun. im sure there is a youtube video of it somewhere.

  • Wow, that's a pretty innovative idea. That is a really nice camera set up! 2 people should be able to run it. There are a few devices to provide a hands free hover situation (some kind of commander, flight commander or similar, I don't have one so sorry for the vague suggestion). That is a pretty large, powerful, and stable heli. I bet that did some good searching in all that debris.

  • there is one called the Co-Pilot. when you let go of the controlls, it takes over and automatically keeps the helicopter level. I believe it senses the temperature difference between the ground and the sky for its orientation.

  • pretty good rc pilot

  • they look like wooden blades

if they are change them to carbon firbe espescially if its got a mounted camera smoother flight

  • Hey, guinea pig, Id like to mount the bjangles outta U!!!

  • these people make money out of disasters.

    paradox :D

  • but hey, the product helped people out

  • This would be perfect for the Draganfly X6

  • A draganfly needs only one person and has GPS lock.

  • i cant watch this video

    looking for friends Jp

  • i would do onything for one of those i mean look it can carry water a radio medacine thats a very powerful wee thing and with the camera is a big bonus

  • If it was flying beside a person and a breeze came the heli wil smash into the person which is not good.

  • you can easily suspend the load from a 50 foot line, well out of harms way.

  • no, not a 600, seems to be a modified Bionic

  • it is made by Mikado, likely a modified Logo

  • looks like a fun job

  • nice

  • my friend swore that he saw one of these patrolling the camp site at a music festival

  • Could be true. I guess its a smart way of keeping an eye on the crowd for safety reasons

  • sounds like a good idea lol.

  • Hmm we're talking about AI now.. Just go to Japan they are 15 years ahead of us with technology

  • Come on guys you don't need to waste money making new softwares, just get a real RC Trex600 will do much better without co-pilots. What if you are to fly inverted then you will need 12 co-pilots...Hahaha. Ask Alan Szabo JR or Lukas to do it for you.

  • BRING IN ALAN SZABO! HE wiLL DO IT WITHOUTH CAMERA DUDE and flight director...only manage the camera hahaha ....:P

  • What, is that a Logo600? They said Mikado...

  • helicommand 3d should sort out the stablization the lady was talking about and carbon blades might help with sound :) im making a cheapy version of this setup with a blade 400 check my vids if interested

  • really intriguing....

  • we also have that here in the philippines. search for aeroeyeasia.they used a mxum rc helicopter.

  • is grat, but horrible!!!

  • Thats nice...real nice..very nice design and i give a 5/5 rating to it !!!! very successful person.....why doesnt the military have this !?!?! LOL

  • Hmm looks like its got a LOGO head on it.

  • funny how the military doesent hav this, and yet normal ppl do =P

  • Search up the A160 Hummingbird

  • jk

    lol

  • very very nice hurricane

  • I heard on the TV that a shipwrecked guy in the floods was found eating a black babys arm.

  • I have a Mikado they are some of the nicest helis out there.

  • Very cool! (The helicopter, not the hurricane) That is a very good idea for spying and stuff and whatnot.

  • too noisy to be really effective at spying...ive tried, lol.

  • I had a look at a naked lady with my Colco Lama 5. She was trimming her Minge hair :)

  • LOL did she saw the plane or was it at night time ?

  • It was my Moms sister. In the evening, I think she saw me, but was pulling her clam open for the camera. She's very very hairy.

  • why the f would you spy on your naked aunt????you ha

  • Because she has big tits and holds open her pussy for me to look inside

  • good for you

  • It nice to look inside a naked ladys mingehole even if it is your fat Aunty Geraldine. I let her touch my dicks as well

  • thats creepy

  • That is in no way creepy, merely satisfying the depraved carnal desires of an older lady who's past her best years in life. I think of it more as a social service.

  • It looks like a T-rex 600

  • how many people are controlling the heli because you take it over and behind stuff.

  • one person operating the camera, the other piloting the helicopter. the pilot can take the helicopter behind things because he is looking through a cammera as well.

  • daly planet fucken rules!!!!!!!!!

  • didnt help much they are still cleaning up down here

  • really tho

  • yep they're still cleaning up i live about 30 minutes away from new orleans

  • really intriguing....

  • Why do they need a guy to operate a moveable camera alone? As a helicopter can move in 3 dimensions, strafe, nose up, nose down, turn on the spot etc, it surely only needs a fixed camera, the pilot just has to move the copter to change the camera position. That's one less person straight away.

  • stabilization for one. generally people use gyros to help hold the cammera in the vertical, while the tail gyro on the heli takes care of horizontal.

plus, what if the heli is up high, and they want to look down on something?

it gets busy enough piloting one, let alone paying attention to a cammera. the cammera operator can simply point and shoot as he pleases...much faster.

  • Yes, i see what you mean... Hopefully they will develop the technology to make the piloting of it more autonomous.

  • does this already has been invented? this just bigger.

  • be so funny if all of a sudden the pilot started doing some tic toks in the background, or maybe a few knife edge circuits.

  • man what are they thinking they cant get rid of the person flying it thats the funnest part make the camera work by its self lol =)

  • Wow my hobby can be a job!

  • All in all it will be an incredible asset once the technology is more developed. Imagine, when there is a disaster or someone goes missing, emergency personnel can release dozens of small, flying drones with video and infrared cameras to cover miles in moments rather than days.

  • WOW MAN YOUR RIGHT! I SO AGREE

  • I think this is awesome. Those that critical of this are just shortsighted. The technology is still new so of course there are still things to be worked out.

For example, MIT's Carbon Nanotube Enhanced Ultracapacitors project could create an energy source that would extend the range of this type of device considerably. And if they use a nanotube structure for the heli it might be lighter and stronger as well.

  • good luck for the autonomous part, that's would be a completely different heli, much bigger

  • You should keep in mind though that a gass helicopter vibrates alot more which could disort the camera, thence making the picture blury.

  • thats true...but good cammera setups often have dampeners to isolate the cammera from vibrations.

  • Na looks like a logo 14 or a logo 10, maybe a bionic 24. I recognize the head button.

  • With such a shaky video coming from such a stable platform as Logo, there is no doubt this pilot needs to keep practicing his skills.

  • i agree. depending on the funds available, i think an Intrepid or Predator Gasser would have been a much better choice. if your out in an area like that with no power, charging batteries might be a problem. and a big gasser will be very stable with much longer flights.

  • Definitely not the most stable and not the best quality but apparently, that's not what they're after. For it's intended purpose (survey documentation), it's not bad especially for the money invested.

  • to unstable design and to limmited range - fun but not impressed.

  • were can i get one

  • All the fuss just for taking a 50m radius !!!

  • sorry, that was the only way i could post the link to his website, take out the spaces and replace the DOT's

  • its made by mikado. so its a modified Logo...probably a Logo 24. The owner of the company responsible for that helicopter got a hold of me. here is his website.

    w w w DOT isensys DOT com/

  • That looks like a modified T-Rex 600??

  • It's an eye opener,very very good

  • Amazing.

  • Need some sort of stabilazation, and less irratic camera movement. Nice otherwise.

  • Sweet video, Mikados rock!!!!
