@nailjunky sharky also has a naturally soft demenor and is low energy on top of having a good owner. he also is more american staffordshire terrier than american pit bull terrier. the APBT can be animal aggressive just based on its genetics and for what it was bred to do. not to say that it cannot be controlled to a degree and managed.

@nutsack666 naw, he's a typical pit bull. most pits are like this if raised in good homes. many people call their pits staffordshire terriers to avoid the stigma, but the're usually pits. most pits aren't bred for any particular purpose. it's the evil morons of the world that breed SOME of them to fight OTHER pit bulls (not be animal or people aggressive). Even the ones that have been so bred can thrive and be great dogs if given a chance. even many of the michael vick dogs were adopted out

That breed is very unpredictable and they have a tendency to snap when least expected. May look calm and cute even but he could go in for the kill without any warning signs. This breed is banned in so many countries for a reason. I am not trying to provoke a reaction here but look at the stats on pitbull attacks and you will see.

the reason pitbulls are banned in some countries is because irresponsible people have them as status dogs and of course abuse them to be used as weapon towards the public.

it's disgusting and sad how rottweilers, dobermans, german shepherds and bull type dogs have got a bad rep because of a trend hip hop and rap artists started.

there is no such thing as bad dogs, only bad owners.
