  • junto com guns n roses minhas bandas preferidas

  • Wicked I love Vai and stuff... But It looks like the chorus of this tune has been taken to this french old song out in the '70s : youtube.com/watch?v=WVnhjoJ8Jhc

Check it out... :) Actualy same pitch, same word rythm and melody.

The guy you will hear wrote "My Way" he's name is Claude François

  • poderosa

  • does anyone know where the guitar landed after 2:33? :P

  • @NemoTn

    on the floor @ 3;20

  • kick ass song from a kick ass band

  • That's just incredible. Man, I miss the 80's

  • Kerang vol 5!

  • Great song! David Coverdale is a powerhouse singer.

  • lloro al escucharla buhhhhhhhhhh

  • Grest song...Love Steve Vai...!

  • excellent song - brings back so many memories of a fab time (when i was young

  • Coverdale looks like a blonde-not-so-strong John Rambo!

  • For me personnelly-the best song of White Snake-at the same time lightly sad, crazy, optimistic and stimulating!!!

  • My other half likes this song not one of my favourites but still a good song

  • they never did this song live DC said in some interview

  • @ivan12345ism

They did but I can't remember where (possibly Wembley or Donington); it featured an extended solo by Vandenberg for the intro. It was Broadcast by Radio One (when - with the show in progress - they had the nerve, as the band weren't playing for Radio One's benefit, to have a message passed to Coverdale asking him not to swear. His response was predictable.

  • One of the greteast songs ever made! \m/

    Obrigado pelo Upload :p

    Que Cla'ssico *.*

  • Here I Go Again, Love Ain't No Stranger, and Now You're Gone - a trilogy. All great songs.

  • they are awfully similar aren't they? but yeah, all fantastic.

  • @gojira931 What or who are awfully similar?

  • @tammysyl love ain't no stranger, here i go again and now you're gone. especially love ain't no stranger and now you're gone

  • @GreenerHill Oh yes , wonderful songs, I love them. I 'm afraid I fail to see the similarity, unless the similarity is their greatness, I guess

  • Tammy,

They don't sound similar, but they're structured similarly. They didn't play this one live, surprisingly. PS Like the cat!

  • @GreenerHill May be. I don´t know if they ever played this song live. If they didn´t it would be a pity because it´s a great son. ( even my mother likes it!!!)

    Sorry, cat??!

  • There's a picture of a cat by your name. Cats are great.

  • @GreenerHill Ah! THAT cat ! Thanks. I like it too! Certainly much better than my own picture

  • this video is fantastic

  • OMG! This is one of my favorite rock bands!! They really... 80´s were really amazing.

  • I am a Whitesnake fan, I like this song a lot but I can´t help thinking this video ( not 1 of the best of the band, I guess) is a parody of BonJovi´s Wanted dead or alive or Poison´s Every rose has its thorn. Like DC and company are playing miming the aforementioned ones. It´s not good for Whitesnake because they have always had 1000 times more talent than John and Bret's bands. Whitesnake ´s are real musicians!

  • i luv !

  • it rocks!

  • mama mia

  • Great Vai, Great DC.... 4EVER WHITESNAKE!!!.....

  • Great song! Love Coverdale!

  • Glenn Hughes on backing vocals is just awesome, what a pair with David!

  • The solo is from another galaxy....

  • @prutsikas That is Steve Vai. Definitely from another galaxy. :)

  • @prutsikas agree, everything from them is exellent!

  • @prutsikas All Of The Song Is From Another Galaxy

  • @prutsikas that's cuz it's Steve Vai, the Master

  • my girlfriend broke my heart.

  • imagine that feeling for two decades. Whitesnake and Jim Beam.

  • I'm sorry,but hang in there!

  • awesome song and album

  • very great song.

    vais solo is beast too.

  • Terrific song and awesome video.

  • steve vai and david Coverdale Rocks ...

  • best of the world Rock

  • i heard that this was recorded at spectrum

  • it was. probably the rarest WS bootleg to find, but it's a killer I've heard. It was one of the few shows they actually sold out on that tour. Most of the arena shows only got like 5,000-10,000 people. Sigh...they're still all great performances.

  • Does anyone know where this video was taken.I saw them in Roshester NY in 1993. On this tour with Steve Vai.Just curious.

  • tequierotantomiloquitolindooo!!!!

    one more timee!!!

  • WHITESNAKE in their PRIME! VAI and SARZO! Some of their best stuff here!!!

  • well it was in 87 really but w/e

  • Slip of the Tongue..... in MY opinion, the best whitesnake album!!!

  • wow, what a time.

  • Comment removed

  • my fave whitesnake plus has steve vai...bonus

  • this is my favorite whitesnake song.

  • david coverdale has said that he hopes steve can make it out to a few shows on this tour so they can jam.

  • SIMPLY F***NG GRAND!To think, that TEN years have passed already since this amazing tour..lineup..songs..performances..

Now we are in 2009..and DC and WS are STILL going strong,as I type on a massive ELECTRIC tour in the US..

Yes,the lineup HAS changed. But remember..DAVId has always been able to call on the BEST in the business.

    ..

First saw them in 78....93 live gigs later..

    Still in Love.

  • now that jami been gone i still think about her everyday i miss you jami, someday ill find you again. lemoore cant be that big. i need your love still.

  • didnt no zz top were still going!!!! thought they retired ... when are they coming to uk ?

  • They played last weekend in Derby!

  • LOL...... DC With a beard

  • will the children please go play quietly elsewhere. Do you have absolutely nothing else to do? get a life!

  • okay I am an idiot and that is Vai! man how many awesome guitar players can one band go through? of all the 80's bands, this was definately the most musically VAIable! lol

  • guys I don't think Vai was ever in whitesnake, Warren DeMartini did a brief stint and he had rudy and vivian and john but I don't ever remember Vai,maybe for studio work, don't know

  • He was in Whitesnake for sure, somwhere in the late 80's or early 90's :)

  • was steve vai 4m white snake??

  • This song is awesome, i have played it to death.....

  • AWESOME

  • STEVE VAI IS THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!!

  • AWESOME!!! back when they were at there peak,........

  • I agree with you, but so many people say that this was David Coverdale's lowpoint. I just don't get it...

  • Steve Vai is a gunslinger!!! He is unbelievable!!!

  • WUhu :D wiii \m/

  • best song ever

  • It´s nice but man! The best songs are : Fool for your lovin and Children of the night^^

  • i agree with youuuu!

  • the audio is off, isn't it? Soo, y'all can fight over the rest of the band, but I get adrian!

  • BICYCLEKETCHUM, haha, thats a superb comment! I'm only 17 but being in a band myself and growing my hair I agree. Bring back the 80's!

  • What a lineup this era of the Snake was.....man those were some players! What a tour this was too...I remember it like yesterday. What a fun time!

  • Can't wait to get the 30th edition of this album remastered this song will sound even better it will be epic

  • This song rulez

  • 02:14 xD

David Coverdale is my fucking hero!

  • THE BEST !!!!!!!!

  • You are more of a man with more hair.

The shit you get for growing it these days proves the sheer size of your cock.

  • haha, so true!

  • Haha excellent comment :D

  • DC totally turns me on !! even at the age he's in now

  • They are HOT

  • well, the "blonds" anyway. steve isn't that hot but he IS an amazing guitarist.

  • No problem, Jenney, I'll take Vai. Come see us some time and we'll all have a BBQ in our garden!

  • brutal

  • The song sounds great, the musicianship is outstanding, but c;mon, folks; the girly hairdos and the skin tight clothing looks a little silly, doesn't it? I wished they had dressed, and wore their hair a bit more masculine. They sure cranked out some good songs though.

  • Actually, you bring up a good point, but that was "the look" back then. Click on "david coverdale interview" (here on YT), and he talks about that -- at the beginning of the interview. Luckily, the hair never seemed to interfere with David's incredible talent. :)

Def Leppard's, Joe Elliott, had quite "a head of hair" too. I thought it looked great on him, but that's just MHO. Some women (like myself) actually love a great head of hair on a guy; it doesn't take away from their masculinity.

  • I often wondered if they wore wigs. If I were a member of a group as this, I'd want to keep my identity concealed from the public. It would be a great way to stay incognito. As far as men having a great head of hair being appealing to women, it sounds logical. The only time bald headed men look good is when they shave their heads! :-)

  • I see your point completely. Possible "wigs" would have been a great way to stay incognito (I imagine that going out in public for these guys would always be challenging). But David confirms it's his "real hair" by admitting his "girlie hair" in that candid interview.

As far as bald men, you're correct again. From Yul Brenner to Michael Jordan, bald men are gorgeous too. My theory is that men "are adorable" altogether. :)

  • posion were shite.they wrote cheesey crap songs and looked like transvestites.whitesnake are the best rock band ever, just a shame jon sykes didnt stay when vai joined, what a combo that would have been,no disrespect to vandenberg class guitar player, but sykes was the best whitesnake guitrist

  • i wholeheartedly agree, but sykes was out of whitesnake about a year and a half before vai joined

  • Chorizoalegre,

The word faggot can be associated with effeminate pansy bands like Poison and Motley Crue...

Or maybe you are such a retarded faggot yourself that real men appear faggotd to you........get lost you dork!~!!

  • i love whitesnake for this song [2]

  • i love whitesnake for this song

  • I wish I was born in that time :weep

    love them <3

  • não precisar dizer mais nada...

    musica foda e banda foda

  • There are supergroups, and then there's Whitesnake.

  • I saw this lineup in Minneapolis, this was the best Whitesnake version, then I saw them in Duluth and met Adrian for an autograph. David is always surrouded by incredible musicians, but I have always loved this one.

These guys owned Rock arenas in the late eighties.

    Awesome!!!!

  • I too thought that was that riff from flashdance!

  • the irene cara song?

  • I love this song so much! But don't you think the opening guitar riff sounds like the theme from flashdane?

  • the irene cara song?

  • yes

  • This song and video are so great. Vandenberg, Sarzo, Coverdale, and Vai are all amazing to listen to and watch

  • an incredible lineup!

  • 2 jalouse07, this song is from the album "Slip Of The Tongue" released in 1989. It's the only album recorded with Steve Vai, one of the greatest guitar players nowadays.

WHITESNAKE fuckin' ROCKS! Long live David and all the stuff he does! :)

  • STEVIE VAI IS JUST INCREDIBLE!!!!

  • In wich year was? Does anyone know?

  • I still think that Steve Vai is the best guitarrist that Whitesnake ever had no discreminating on Doug Aldrich, Reb Beach, and John Sykes they are great guitarrist but they cant stack up to Steve (Im not counting Vivian Campbell cause for me he isnt that much of a big deal).

  • Check out their latest album, it shits on guns and roses effort and aldrich has had a hand in the songwriting and letsrip on the guitar - the solos are awesome - what a fucking great album / effort.

  • xaroula mou min mou figeis eisai ola osa thelo an figeis tha spasei i kardoula mou.ase ta palia piso kai ela na sou doso oli mou tin agapi :))

  • I fecking love this tune so much.....top times had back in the time. They rock.

    Coverdale is a legend......

  • vandenberg!!!!!

  • My favorite song

  • dito mate

  • I love this video. Rudy Sarzo and Adrian Vandenberg were the greatest. I love Rudys smile in this video. He is so cute!!!

  • There was WAYYY too many egos here for 1 stage...Guess thats why it didn't last; Not this lineup anyways.

  • Can you blame them? They were incredible. We're talking about Steve Vai, Rudy Sarzo AND Tommy Alridge. They were brilliant.

  • dedico esta música a mha paixão, q smp está longe de mim mas q nca esqueci. mina rakastan sinua

I love that phrase and it remains me lots of things about my ex...

  • great song!

  • Great post. Brought back some memories. Video was shot in Philadelphia, PA. I was at the show and the video shoot. They gave away general admission tix for part of the shoot during the day, then they did the rest @ the show itself. I actually can see me in about 3 frames in the video. Thanks for this.

  • Cool! Was the band in good shape at the time ?

  • i wake up in a cold sweat and i'm all alone again

  • Real rock and roll!

  • Whitesnake the bestt forever !!
