umm actually most soccer players just wear the mid calf sock over the soccer sock to give them less room in the shoe. that gives them a better touch and prevents the foot from sliding around in the shoe which can cause blisters. the tape is holding up the shin gaurd not taping the mid calf sock to the soccer sock. a good number of people also wear socks over the soccer socks just to look like their favorite player.

I started doing this back in 2003, my team colour sock is white and wear a white sock!!! I do it because I train and practice with my Nike crew white socks, plus I have 3 layers of ankle tape under. @noizefilms It's the same as if you were wearing just your normal game sock. It's just 100X more confortable and it holds your shingguards up. I've also had problem with my left ankle and I taped it. If you tape your ankle and you do this, you'll be confortable and still knwoing that ur ankle is not gonna roll cause it has the support of the tape (this tap e is the ankle tape not the one you put for the socks, the socks one doesn't protect you, it just holds the shinguards) I hope it helps man:D

This isnt how its done, you use a regular white sock, cut it, so its just a bit bigger than an ankle sock then use white tape...

@noizefilms yea dude, look, it's so much better because you can put the sock you want (the white one), imagine that ur team sock is unconfortable, u can just cut it and put the one u like and it's confortable for you. also it holds up ur shin guards better, try it once and u'll fall inlove with it man, trust me, i didn't make this for a nonsense reason haha, hope it helps man

Is there some way to puth the tape on or somthing? because i broke my ankle ones and i dont want to have that again .. is it moree sensitive for your ankle if you puth the socks like this or does it not matter(already cut my socks tho xd) ? Hope not !! :( .

@noizefilms It's the same as if you were wearing just your normal game sock. It's just 100X more confortable and it holds your shingguards up. I've also had problem with my left ankle and I taped it. If you tape your ankle and you do this, you'll be confortable and still knwoing that ur ankle is not gonna roll cause it has the support of the tape (this tap e is the ankle tape not the one you put for the socks, the socks one doesn't protect you, it just holds the shinguards) I hope it helps man:D

You kids got it all wrong you dont cut the soccer sock dumb asses You get a regular white sock and cut it right at the ankle and wear it over your real soccer sock........ Thats how all the players do it some also use tape but this way is better more comfortable feeling this way
