larry larson's car is truely epic. Victor still holds e few records tho, ye i know there are quite a few faster in the states. but as road legal limitiations and laws are different all over the place its hard to keep track. but yes, Rod and Larry both have incredible 6 second road cars, but Andy Frost and Red victor holds 2 or 3 records still, check out their website. PS Hes in the process of building a twin turbo pro mod version of the victor, and that will be street legal too!! all on the site

I see Rod almost every year @ Maryland Inter Raceway.He has had 3 or 4 different Corvetts that I know of.A couple of them where Blown.He has the Fastest and Nicest street car in the Aera I live,bar none.

what an absolute moron, don't come on here and disrespect a car like this by misdiagnosing engine components, if you don't know then keep you're mouth shut, this car runs a small block engine, if it does indeed run a 454 with canted valve angles then any common mechanic thats works on race engines will tell you it's a small block

This one is a 400 sbc twin-turboed. That's almost half the size in liters.

after just watching the (im guessing first part?) you can see when he pops the hood all four exhaust ports are evenly spaced = BB.

Yes, but a 454 smallblock has a 4.125 bore and a 4.25 stroke. This is a smallblock engine, just because the exhaust ports are evenly spaced does not mean it is a big block. This engine utilizes heads that use canted valve angles and is fact a smallblock.

It can also be made with an aftermarket block by using 4.25 bore with 4 inch stroke

That used to be the truth, BB had evenly spaced exhaust ports and the SB had the two inner ports against each other. Not the case with the LS series engines, they are SB's with evenly spaced Exhaust ports. Just FYI

it would be cool to see a matchrace between this and the camaro but the vette is wellover half a second quicker which is an eternity in dragracing, the camaro tows a trailer and does more miles so has to be built to last a bit longer! although rods car would tow a trailer without knowing its there!lol, i was lucky enough to be on the build team for the vette and rod really is a great guy and not just loaded with cash, he works hard for his money like the rest of us, i wish him well.

red victor 1's from the UK mate not Aus. PLus the only reason this has run faster was because it was running racing fuel and slicks... Red victor has been 7.6 @ 192mph... on treaded tyres with pump gas. undisputable

Victor's also made runs with race gas and slicks, but hasn't broken the 6 barrier. If I'm not mistaken, its best run is 7.41.

lerroc, do you know andy frost? i know him well and used to live by him and he is also good friends with rod, rod does NOT run race gas as frosty would tell you as they did 30 mile run at the shootout in canada last year, it is also on sportsman tires, the biggest problem with pumpgas is that in the uk you can get 101 octane but in the usa it is 87 octane, it is hard to get above 94 octane which is lower than regular in the uk, so if rod puts an additive in its to get the same as frosty,
