All i can say is: Bring back the way Lara would move in the old tomb raider games 1-5. For me 6 was the major flaw of this and Crystal dynamics never really recovered from it.
Bring out a new Tomb Raider with similar map structure to those of 1-5 and just make it with better graphics and add the extra weapons, ideas that they feel is necessary.
@MichaelPaleos but Crystal Dynamics wasn't always the owner.That cursed company bought Lara to make games for kids and now a horror game.Terrible.CORE was the one making awesome games.But I found AOD(made by core) pretty good.I had a few patches installed but it wasn't such a problem in the end... ;)
0:56 is odd because it looks like it was lifted from former model Rhona Mitra's movie Doomsday. Look on the back of the DVD cover. Incredibly, she even resembles Rhona more than Allison Carroll, the current model.
Lol, there are so many people venting about her image purely from this render, and to be honest, it's quite childish. Go have a look at the older Tomb Raider game renders, and you'll find that more often than not, Lara doesn't look quite the same in game as she is depicted in pictures like these, even with the original games. Here, she's actually quite similar-looking to a couple of the Anniversary renders from 2007. So just calm down and stop obsessing over her image, there'll be more to come.
For me they still destroying tomb raider! The whole idea of new tomb raider it's GREAT and this Lara Croft it's very beutyfull but it's really different from the other! Nevertheless it's stills a great game...

@strangergv1 You do realize that both the Legend and Underworld games messed with Lara's original back-story a bit and played so much with her image and personality that, frankly, by Underworld she was pretty distorted. She was nowhere near the original character that she used to be, reinventing Lara Croft had to happen. I'm pretty sure they based her image somewhat on the very first Tomb Raider game. I got "Tomb Raider: Underworld" for Christmas last year and it was SO low quality!! The computer version's quality was AMAZING but the PS2 version sucked! The game designers really really disappointed. No one should have to buy an entirely new game console JUST to be sure their game time is up to standard. I hope "Tomb Raider: Reborn" is better.

The more recent games (Legend and Underworld) focussed far too much on giving Lara an angst-y back story and they twisted some of her original history. The levels were too short and far simpler than the original games, and the overall atmosphere, in my opinion, was rather spoiled by the (very generic) idea of learning more about her mysterious parents. This game seems very fresh. c:
I was really excited with the direction they were moving in with "Underworld." I hope, since the acquisition of eidos by square-enix, they don't decide to go in a more mainstream, cheaper direction. That would kill me.
Hey guys i just found out what this game is about. Is about the legend of Hanuda, a small town in an island on the shores os Japan. The legend says and earthquake destroyed the town and maybe since the game is in japan, the same earthquake destroyed Lara's vassel. Also there are many gohst and satanic cult rumors of Hanuda. Thats my theory.
I am a massive TR fan and have been since the first game came out. they will never create a game with the same atmosphere and feel to it that the original had no matter what. So lets just wait and see what this one is like, give it a chance and then get on with any bitching afterwards lol with the exception of legend, i havent felt let down by them yet.
finally a lara that is human, sure the original was awsome but she was also a cold hearted unrealistic character. the new lara looks great and the multi timeline weaponry and survival elements are fkn great she looks even more badass now.

The game designers really really disappointed. No one should have to buy an entirely new game console JUST to be sure their game time is up to standard. I hope "Tomb Raider: Reborn" is better.

I see the Dark Desent movie all over this so called reboot remake redo what ever this is nothing but for Crystal Dynamics to save face put blame on the game Tomb Raider the Lara Craft model some how she is to sexy so let's make drastic changes to the model let's make a none Lara model what ever that means to cover ther incompetence of eliminating or limiting glitches in Tomb Raider Underworld. As a Tomb Raider fan I do not like the look of the new Lara. I am not buying a none Lara model TR game.

If they would continue with the games( like earlier,in the old tr's) lara would be famous again...Tomb Raider is NOT a HORROR GAME and should NEVER BE (but tr9 is GOING TO BE... :-P) if the JUST change the graphics and a few moves...it would be perfect!!! @newmabreu96 I disagree with what you're trying to say. The more recent games (Legend and Underworld) focussed far too much on giving Lara an angst-y back story and they twisted some of her original history. The levels were too short and far simpler than the original games, and the overall atmosphere, in my opinion, was rather spoiled by the (very generic) idea of learning more about her mysterious parents. This game seems very fresh. c:

I was really excited with the direction they were moving in with "Underworld." I hope, since the acquisition of eidos by square-enix, they don't decide to go in a more mainstream, cheaper direction. That would kill me.

Hey guys i just found out what this game is about. Is about the legend of Hanuda, a small town in an island on the shores os Japan. The legend says and earthquake destroyed the town and maybe since the game is in japan, the same earthquake destroyed Lara's vassel. Also there are many gohst and satanic cult rumors of Hanuda. Thats my theory.

I am a massive TR fan and have been since the first game came out. they will never create a game with the same atmosphere and feel to it that the original had no matter what. So lets just wait and see what this one is like, give it a chance and then get on with any bitching afterwards lol with the exception of legend, i havent felt let down by them yet.
