He looks strong and seems to have a decent touch around the basket and good court vision (finding open teammates), but he isn't particularly fast or springy, looks like he's plodding rather than gliding, doesn't have great hops and, most importantly, is playing against shorter and slighter opponents. He might do well to very well in college (though I doubt he'll have the game to take a team to a championship), but he won't be a good pro. Average, maybe, but not good.

We need him at UNC - him and McAdoo (assuming McAdoo stays for 2013) would be an awesome, awesome frontcourt tandem, but it doesn't look like he'll be wearing tarheelblue...It's interesting because UNC was recruiting him AND TJ Warren, and they are reportedly very close, but it looks like UNC won't get either which is surprising considering Roy normally gets who he wants. It looks like McGary will head to Duke or Michigan though with UM as the slight favorite. It would be cool to see him @ UM

@dynamic2345 he "could" end up being much better than Hansbrough for sure, but let's remember Hansbrough ended up dominating college basketball, is now the leading scorer in ACC history, and a high 1st round NBA draft pick... let's watch McGary in college 1st before we say he is "much better" than an ACC record breaker... McGary could end up being a more athletic Kevin Love as well which is very good
