When I got the unraveling I fell in love with this band. The energy and enthusiasm was there, and that was all I could listen to. Revolutions and Siren Song solidified Rise's place as my favourite. When Sufferer came out I played it untill days end but it was missing something, I jurt didn't know what. Appeal was released and I got it day one, I only liked 3 songs. Sadly this album has nothing for me, it's polish feels fake. I want the good old days back.

@owertwentyfive Well it is really a matter of opinion. I maybe only 16 and definitely have more of a pop sense then the older generation, but for me though it is different. The Unraveling did in fact start Rise Against off and I won't deny that, but that is actually on the bottom of my list in my opinion. Such as ATR that was the lowest point for sure, but Endgame I think they brought back their heat that they had in Suffering and Sirens. It is all a matter of opinion still good either way.

@RABeatsForLife Absolutely is a matter of opinion, and I can not say that your sense of music is wrong. My view point definitely comes from their lyrics though. Songs like SotU and Give it All, made you feel the energy like songs fromt before that. You could feel Tim's emotions singing, now it's just him singing with a blank slate of emotion. That is why I loved growing up with them, they had the anger when I was younger and wanted something to scream along with, what is there for todays youth?

@owertwentyfive I do have to disagree a bit. To me Tim might not have the same sound as he did in the Unraverling. I am sure that he might of became..more tamed over the time from his youth, but let me ask you this. Don't most people tend to become less energetic as they get older. Yes there are a few of those people who still have that energy, but it's not as common as the people who mellow out (you won't believe how long took me to remember that). Todays youth = bad taste in music nuff said.

It's a sattircal jab at the term, pointing out that the so-called American Dream is a lie, has died, or has otherwise been robbed from us and for what it once was.
