Stupid Redneck says " everthang mus a sound jus a luke uh heard tha furst time...no a changes...no ovur rendishion...cuz imu purist...and a dumb shit" the girl is brilliant. Just admit it.
Some folks call this tune "Garfield's Blackberry Blossom" -- maybe to distinguish from the other "Blackberry Blossom". It is very similar to "Yew Piney Mountain".
Many old tunes come down to us via various lineages. I suspect Carrie's model is Ed Haley's version of this tune. Look on YouTube for "Nikos Pappas playing the Ed Haley fiddle" -- he's playing Ed's version of Blackberry Blossom.
Great version with guts. Many renditions resemble white bread vs. whole grain or 7-11 coffee vs. expresso. The less refined versions are definitely harder to stomach but once you get used to them you're hooked. Check out John Hartford's version on The Speed of the Old Long Bow for a great version this one more closely resembles.

its nothing but a disgusting perversion of the beautiful original tune, sounds like a crack addict playing an out of tune violin.

Really interesting way you do this. Sounds nothing like Blackberry Blossom, but I still really like your rendition.....you're a good player.
