Wow! I LOVE Chicago - my favorite place to visit even over Manhattan...but I've never seen this side of Chicago. hahahah - not on any of the "tour" stops.
I was born in Ida B. Wells Projects in 1946. It was crowed but a nice place to live. Then it started changing in the 1960's I went into the USMC in 1965. Visited my mom until she moved out in 1972 it really got in bad shape in the 90's.
