We vote for all these political prostitutes and we get what we deserve. We should not vote for them or allow them to manipulate and lie to us by listening to them. If we voted only for honest and capable people with no corporate ties, we would have a much better society.
It's a two headed one party system, and you no longer have a republic of the people, but a district run and controlled by banks and corporations. Kucinich was the only one brave enough to bring about impeachment charges against Bush.
He is also one of the very few members in either the house or the senate that seems to pay attention to the constitution. A document that the government seems to have forgotten exists, and one that must be followed if we are ever to have a republic of the people
A strong military is one thing. policing the world, barging into other countries under false pretenses, and going to war without a declaration from congress are in no way conservative no matter how you slice it..
"true conservatism" doesn't exist anymore, because we have a Federal Government that has ballooned out of control and two parties that are both big government parties. the republicans used to be the small gov't party, but as time has gone on they are almost identical to the Dems
@mac9641 I completely agree. The two parties act like they are different, but they essentially make the same mistakes. I'm actually fearful of the American future and more so not because of immoral wars, but because of horrible economic policy. Whatever happened to freedom of choice and capitalism. It has turned into corruption, corporatism, out of control spending, and the government acting like it knows how to spend my money better then I do. This is madness and it will end badly!

I don't know about a freedom glow a year ago but, again, with the exception of Dennis Kucinich, the democrats are just another branch of the Republicans. Don't forget that 6 of the 9 members on the 9/11 commission have since come forward, two have written books, about how the whole investigation was a cover up, how they received a lack of funding, lack of cooperation from both the administration and the Pentagon. They were denied access to a whole litany of information, and even after the final report was written Bush came through and classified half of what was in the official report.
With control of both houses and the white house, they didn't have to steamroll anything--they just had to do it.
They didn't want it. What they want to do is payoff the insurance and pharmaceuticals who are giving and raising massive bribe money--big bribe-Pelosi event coming up sponsored by United Health bribery group--google it.
They're blaming the failure on the GOP to mislead the gullible, while proceeding with their agenda exactly as planned.

Somehow, deranged idiots following Beck and Limbaugh derailed the entire damn thing, Obama caved, and we end up giving the teabaggers everything. Throwing liberals under the bus is not going to raise your approval ratings Obama. The conservatives are never going to like you, you should have steamrolled a public option through.
Dennis , you may not feel comfortable saying "my way or the highway", so the American people will loudly articulate this truth>>> Single Payer OR the highway to nowhere!!!
I worked for the people who denied and dropped coverage for sick customers who had insurance. Obama is wrong to compromise with the insurance companies. He's not only compromising with the foxes who guard the chickenhouse, he's throwing them more chickens.
The Republicans don't care about the poor uninsured, the insurance companies don't care about anyone. And anyone who thinks voting down the public option is "good", is eventually going to get bit in the ass when they need help the most.
Why is everyone on the insurance companys . the high prices that the doctors and hospitals charge is as much a promble as anything. Why can't the poor and rich ALL pitch in and cover everyone on insurance . our taxes pays for all the government to have insurance . All we need is for everyone to come together and charge a reasonable price . and why do we pay high office visits charges and then have to wait for a extra 30 to 60 minutes after appointment time ???? lol Heck my time is important to!
AngelAsmodeus The doctors and hospitals are providing a legitimate service, so medical costs need to be negotiated to come down and keep everybody happy making a decent living as well. However the "wealthcare" insurance companies are simply a middleman scam, nothing more, and the only thing that needs to happen to their prices is to TOTALLY DISAPPEAR.

So wait the details would assume that because another of Obama's policies are not catering to all people but instead are socializing and providing for wealthy companies. Blatant fascist policy and anyone who thinks this is communism or socialism is an idiot.
I am not surprised at all that this policy is nothing but a scam to get corporations rich, disguised as a liberal policy.
$3,800 everyone will be forced to pay their own health care, just like car insurance. So the $3,800 will go to the insurance companies. Those who can not afford it will have the gov./tax payer pick up the bill.
Look here you dumb ass conservatives, here is a 'Liberal' who is telling it straight up like it is. I am not even a supporter of the left on a lot of things , but look Dennis is telling it straight up.
Dennis is the only one who makes any sense. You all on these comments who don't support him, are not listening. Just wait until you get sick and need healthcare.
this is what amazes me. Dennis is right on and I bet people will still believe Obama has "the people" in mind. Obama is just as bought as other politicians.
That is exactly why I oppose anything that moves that says is conservative, because under that label there is nothing more than intolerance, fear, insecurity and hate. Everyday more and more reject your dumbservative racist views.
I use the think that Dennis Kucinich was a little out there... Not any more. He is absolutely right.
We will not be able to compete in this global economy until we get to a single payer system, replace the ability to file a malpractice case against doctors with something else.
Dennis Kucinich is right, but our country is not ready for the truth. We have to get rid of insurance companies, they are the problem, they are the unnecessary middle man. What business owner keeps paying an employee so much money for doing nothing? So, if Ins Co's don't contribute in any way to the business of providing medical care, then why don't we just do away with them. Single payer is the real solution, fuck republicans, Dems should side with Kucinich on this and just do it.
Insurance companies do not control the cost of healthcare. They control the cost of health insurance. Dealing with the cost of healthcare means dealing with providers.
I'd vote for Kucinich/Paul or Paul/Kucinich in a heartbeat. And don't lecture me about ideology. There's a lot more common ground between liberals and libertarians than most would be willing to admit.
GO KUCINICH! Him and Ron Paul are my favorite Congressmen. Oddly enough they have pretty different approaches to government, but both of them actually sound pretty good. If everyone in the democrat party was like Kucinich and everyone in the Republican party was like Ron Paul i think we could have some REAL DEBATES.
Most of the problems we are facing today can be solved with simple common sense, from the right or the left. As long as people have some basic level of common sense and decency, they will naturally have much in common.
Did you know that Kucinich proposes medicare for all, what GOPers are so afraid of, while Ron (closeted anti-semite) Paul is the complete opposite? Paul wants to dismantle social security, medicare, medicaid, and allow insurance companies to butcher americans?
Learn about what Ron Paul is about before posting such drivel. Ron Paul wants healthy competition. This country is full of monopolies...including insurance companies. How many are there? If the government would actually enforce anti-trust laws we wouldn't be in half the messes we're in....The gov't should be involved in certain areas but not in ALL areas...
And just because someone thinks that Israel runs the US it doesn't make them antisemitic...
You all don't get it. The priorities of the USA government in no particular order are corporate interests, Wall Street, big energy and Israel.
For example if Congress were passing health care for Israelis, it would be passed on a bipartisan basis in short order. Actually we have with our billions to them a year.
Our Congress essentially works for the Israeli interests on a much larger scale than most can fathom. US Congress rarely if ever works in the interests of the US people.
Surfur, conspiratorial shiite. What you Jew-hating peabrains always forget to mention in your ravings about a couple billion to Israel per year is that it was set up under Jimmy Carter to give aid to Israel and Egypt in like a 3/2 ratio so we're giving a lot to Egypt too. Where's your Egypt conspiracy? We're giving them billions. On top of that we give money to Palestine, Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, and other Muslim countries. Why don't they make your fairytales?
A summary of your recent quotes. You are neither old nor intelligent enough to post here. " O Conspira-Queer, conspiracy crap, mentally inferior conspiracy trash, CLASSIC CONSPIRACY FREAK LOGIC, conspira-trash freak, which conspiracy crap, the worst spelling on Youtube is from conspira-fairies, typical brainpower contained in the conspiracy movement , ok conspiracy queer, conspiraqueer, There is no genocide there (Gaza), zionistconspiracyfreaks/Jew-haters, mostly conspira-queers".
Surfur, yes I get in arguments with conspira-queers from time to time, as I loathe them more than political opponents. Thank you for taking the time to read my entire message board. But back to the question: why don't you have conspiratorial fantasies about Egypt because we give billions in aid to them just as we do Israel. In fact if you add in all the handouts to Muslim nations it's much more than what we give the Jews. So-- I'm sure you have Gizaist conspiracy theories too, right.
Israel is supported because it is a strategic position in the middle east. In fact, you could even argue it is necessary as long as we are dependent on foreign oil.
Without controlling the region, we are forced to pay whatever those countries ask for their oil. This is not a good situation for the United States to be in. So we make war, and support our allies in the region (not just Israel).
The solution? Stop using oil. I would love to see the day...
kinga750....Israel has COST the USA TRILLIONS since we were foolish enough to support its inception as a racist state and its theft of land from the Pals. 120 billion for direct aid, another 50 billion to its neighbors as bribes to be nice to Israel, trillions due to the cost of 2 oil embargoes, Trillions for a war on terror that was initiated because of our blind support for Israel, 9-11 itself was likely anything but what we were told, Iraq War for Israel, Bankster theft of trillions.
we don't "support" israel, we just give it enough money to prevent it from destroying the arab states.
it is true, in the event of a military exchange in the region, israel is our only true ally, both civilization-wise and reality. it plays a serious role defending the conservative arab states, as it did during the egyptian/yemen war and iran/iraq war. it also acted as a proxy state to fight arab communists/socialists that were soviet puppets.
I think we need to shelf this health care and strictly concentrate on getting people jobs. What happened to green energy? EVERY county needs power plants-solar, wind, and ocean turbines all produce tons of energy. Infrastructure needs fixing. Lots of it. Once you get the JOB situation fixed, everything else will fall into place. CURE THE CAUSE-not just fix symptoms. Health care cost is a symptom. due to massive unemployment. For now mandate EACH STATE deal with health care in their own way.
But if health care is fixed, it will do two things: 1) allow people who are too sick to work to get better and 2) ease the pressure on employers and allow them to hire. This has taken center stage because America has been stupid enough for the last 100 years that this needs to happen now. The green jobs are coming.
I know, I meant in 2012. We didnt even get a chance to vote for him here in Texas. I wonder if he went through the lawsuit against the state. Obama isnt enough change. He sold us out and is pandering to big business.
Wishful thinking, bro. Dennis Kucinich has been one of my fav politicians but America is not ready for someone like him. If many in our country find Obama to be a socialist, imagine Kucinich. Obama is proposing a public option competing with the sharks, Kucicich would get rid of the sharks and create a single payer system. If you've been paying attention you probably could see why someone like Dennis Kucinich unfortunately could never be our president. They would tag him a commie and goodbye !
I agree with much of what he says, but when he talked about believing in UFO's it pretty much ruined his chances with most people in the country to get their vote. I'm just sayin'.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Fuck you Dennis you wasn't talking greasy about going to war for George Evil. SO shut your cot-damn ass up and sign whatever the fuck Obama tells your lame ass to sign.
He was, he is, and he will always be, an ardent opponent to Bush's regime and all GOP stupidity. He is telling the truth, but our country is not ready for the truth. You see how dumbservatives are reacting to a public option, imagine if you propose Medicare for all, like what Kucinich wants (and like what they have in Australia and other places). The problem with health insurance in our country is the insurance companies, but you can't say it because you would be labeled a socialist.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
One of the reasons I became a liberal was disgust of the fake interviews Conservatives were given during the Bush years. And you know what? it's even more disturbing to see it come from our side.
I think first of all, you're confusing liberals and democrats. You can't "become a liberal" based on the way party members act. You can change parties, you can believe that the party does not represent your ideals, but the actions of representatives really have nothing to do with what ideology you hold.
Secondly, what do you think about this interview is fake?
Wow! even though he is a socialist he has makes more sense then 99% of congress. Sorry Democrats he just does not hold a candle to Dr. Ron Paul

Single payer is the real solution, fuck republicans, Dems should side with Kucinich on this and just do it.
oldtownkid 2 years ago
Insurance companies do not control the cost of healthcare. They control the cost of health insurance. Dealing with the cost of healthcare means dealing with providers.

I'd vote for Kucinich/Paul or Paul/Kucinich in a heartbeat. And don't lecture me about ideology. There's a lot more common ground between liberals and libertarians than most would be willing to admit.

GO KUCINICH! Him and Ron Paul are my favorite Congressmen. Oddly enough they have pretty different approaches to government, but both of them actually sound pretty good. If everyone in the democrat party was like Kucinich and everyone in the Republican party was like Ron Paul i think we could have some REAL DEBATES.
asphyxiafeeling 2 years ago
Most of the problems we are facing today can be solved with simple common sense, from the right or the left. As long as people have some basic level of common sense and decency, they will naturally have much in common.

toshzpelta 2 years ago
Did you know that Kucinich proposes medicare for all, what GOPers are so afraid of, while Ron (closeted anti-semite) Paul is the complete opposite? Paul wants to dismantle social security, medicare, medicaid, and allow insurance companies to butcher americans?
oldtownkid 2 years ago
Learn about what Ron Paul is about before posting such drivel. Ron Paul wants healthy competition. This country is full of monopolies...including insurance companies. How many are there? If the government would actually enforce anti-trust laws we wouldn't be in half the messes we're in....The gov't should be involved in certain areas but not in ALL areas...
And just because someone thinks that Israel runs the US it doesn't make them antisemitic...
ElastigirlNM 2 years ago
You all don't get it. The priorities of the USA government in no particular order are corporate interests, Wall Street, big energy and Israel.
For example if Congress were passing health care for Israelis, it would be passed on a bipartisan basis in short order. Actually we have with our billions to them a year.
Our Congress essentially works for the Israeli interests on a much larger scale than most can fathom. US Congress rarely if ever works in the interests of the US people.
Surfurman 2 years ago 4
Surfur, conspiratorial shiite. What you Jew-hating peabrains always forget to mention in your ravings about a couple billion to Israel per year is that it was set up under Jimmy Carter to give aid to Israel and Egypt in like a 3/2 ratio so we're giving a lot to Egypt too. Where's your Egypt conspiracy? We're giving them billions. On top of that we give money to Palestine, Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, and other Muslim countries. Why don't they make your fairytales?

I would love to see the day...
kinga750 2 years ago
kinga750....Israel has COST the USA TRILLIONS since we were foolish enough to support its inception as a racist state and its theft of land from the Pals.
Surfurman 2 years ago
we don't "support" israel, we just give it enough money to prevent it from destroying the arab states.
it is true, in the event of a military exchange in the region, israel is our only true ally, both civilization-wise and reality. it plays a serious role defending the conservative arab states, as it did during the egyptian/yemen war and iran/iraq war. it also acted as a proxy state to fight arab communists/socialists that were soviet puppets.
plus, israel is integral in our military.

WinterHaven 2 years ago
But if health care is fixed, it will do two things: 1) allow people who are too sick to work to get better and 2) ease the pressure on employers and allow them to hire. This has taken center stage because America has been stupid enough for the last 100 years that this needs to happen now. The green jobs are coming.

jediknight36 2 years ago 5
Wishful thinking, bro. Dennis Kucinich has been one of my fav politicians but America is not ready for someone like him. If many in our country find Obama to be a socialist, imagine Kucinich. Obama is proposing a public option competing with the sharks, Kucicich would get rid of the sharks and create a single payer system. If you've been paying attention you probably could see why someone like Dennis Kucinich unfortunately could never be our president. They would tag him a commie and goodbye !

One of the reasons I became a liberal was disgust of the fake interviews Conservatives were given during the Bush years. And you know what? it's even more disturbing to see it come from our side.
Akin42 2 years ago
I think first of all, you're confusing liberals and democrats. You can't "become a liberal" based on the way party members act. You can change parties, you can believe that the party does not represent your ideals, but the actions of representatives really have nothing to do with what ideology you hold.
Secondly, what do you think about this interview is fake?
