Hi Eddie, great to see there are some videos of your unique Mk4 JP. I flew with him a great deal in the JP and if you want to learn to fly a helicopter I can think of nooone better to teach you.. best wishes to 'Fast Eddie'!. sinx
Mr Todd, thank you for that particular flight, it was indeed a great day for me and a fab landing on what is quite a beaten up runway at Long Marston. Hope you are well, and still dancing around blue skies!
A good t-4 will kick a t-5's butt--- lighter and same power. (non pressurized, and simple canopy system(no canopy motors) The t-4 was made to be the air to air fighter trainer. I have flown both types a bunch-we still have a t-4 in miami-
Yes, now that you mention it, the cockpit wasn't pressurised and the canopy slid back and not up as on a T5. I just remember Mike saying it was a T5 or variant of. But the tanks are too small and the avionics package did not fit the classic Mk5. Anyway it was indeed great fun sitting there at 5k feet, full throttle, nose towards the sun and airspeed at 5kts. A boot full of rudder and suddenly the canopy was full of Warwickshire countryside. Magic!
Not that it really matter... but thats not a T5.. its a T4 I think. Looks like good fun anyway. I always meant to get a flight with the JP club. I think hes sold it now tho.. :(

My dad was on the Red Pelican ground crew at RAF Little Rissingon and I got to fly piston Provosts a fair bit. Never got a ride in a jet though.
