Your stride looks too long, or you're kicking your feet too far back, or your cadence isn't fast enough ... if you watch other bf running videos, it seems like you are closer to regular shod running in terms of stride length
I am starting to run Barefoot, and my main reason was i couldn't afford any the shoes i heard were the best. I was sitting there and thinking about how crappy it is that i don't have good shoes, and i realized i have the best shoe there is - barefoot. After trying running barefoot, i saw the difference, and I'm never putting on my huge padded trainers again.
Awesome. I've been working into it for the last 6 months. I found the Vibrams shredded my feet too much, so I alternate between running barefoot and running on my toes in my Newtons. Eventually I'll be barefoot fulltime :)
Sorry mate, I haven't been on the youtube for a while. When I first started I want to say it took me about 4 months to build up the skin on my feet and for my calves to get use to the lack of a heel. I've have been running barefoot for 5 years and haven't had a running injury, aside from an over-training incident. I do wear the VibramFivefinger during the winter as it is too cold to run barefoot. They are really nice but you do lose some of the "feel" for things if you don't do barefoot sometim.
How do you get used to the new form? Don't you let your foot land directly under you with a circular stride or something as opposed to long 'grabs' with the heel?
ppl always look more graceful when they run barefoot......thats cause u have to be soft on ur feet or it hurts, thats the whole beauty of barefoot running

How long did it take you to be able to run barefoot? How does it compare to running in shoes? Do you find you get injured more or less?
Have you ever tried the barefoot shoes Vibram Fivefingere?
I always seem to get injured running and was thinking about trying this.

Hello I'm just starting barefoot and just was curious about your overtraining injury....was it a knee problem? Achilles? Shins splints? etc.???
