  • you can go 4minutes under water whit out breathing

  • beautiful

  • I love this video. It has all the necessary components that make a mini film exquisit. And it looks effortless. Great!

  • they dive like 90 times they can only stay down there for 2 minutes

  • thanks Guillaume and Julie Gautier !

  • Amazing!

  • merci guillaume pour ta video ! kel perf . tu es un champion

j'aimeré faire sa mé je sui un peu limite pour l'instant

mais .... la motive et la ...

    fan

  • wow

  • Fucking video theifs.... and yes the guy did do the dive on a breath hold, they just made a refined artistic video to wow people...It worked original video has what 7 ml viewS?

  • @krazyblurtzcrx If you could share the '' Original '' video with all of us ...

  • I love this fucking video!

  • siiiiiick :D

  • cool idea....sick vid

  • so what is the artist of the song????

  • @EPISTEMESCIENTIA Archive - you make me feel

  • Um... all comments concerning reaching the bottom of this blue hole, it is impossible. This blue hole goes so deep there are species of sea creatures there that would devour any man in an instant. No man has ever reached the bottom of it, even with breathing assistance. Awesome video tho. 10 stars.

  • @thinsoldier Utter fail. Dean's Blue Hole is 203 meters deep, or 663 ft. Jim King reached the bottom on a mixed-gas dive in 1992, without getting "devoured." He was actually quite fine.

  • I dont see his watch when he jumps, it magically appears after 2:03 :|

  • I say WOW

  • How can he go so deep with air in his lungs? when I try to stand like he does at 0:50 , I have to get rid of all my air ,.. please someone explain me how he does it..I only have been free diving for a while so maybe i dont know a lot of stuff of free diving :(

  • @SpicyEVG he has weights on

  • The video is real enough, don't ruin it. He did AWESOME.

  • How does he manage the pressure you get in your ears?

  • @sannasundh i was wondering the same

  • hardcore xD

  • soo crazy i will jump into this hole :D

its the film maked in the moring or in the evening it´s realy so dark ?

  • AMAZING.....& BEAUTIFUL....name of the song?

  • @alxfoster song is ARCHIVE - YOU MAKE ME FEEL

  • Beautiful. Well edited and well timed with a wonderful choice of music. Bravo.

  • KRAKEN....

  • If you actually visit his website, he said they used fins, multiple takes, and ropes. It's not done in one breath. It's purely for beauty and aesthetic purposes and to show love of free diving.

  • let me put it this way he didn't wake up one day an do this it takes several months/years of conditioning to do something like this

  • Ok so whats the purpose of this video? if its showing the hole why he didn't took a machine to do it for us? would be in better quality im sure, or he is just showing off his skill? because i don't care about swiming skills hehe.

  • @HellFireUlisses lol @ the hehe part.

  • @HellFireUlisses - The purpose (I guess) is to show in an artistic way the passion and work of a multi world record titles professional free diver. ;)

  • @balijerome Why not show the deep sea world with machines so i could see much better? blablabla art, thats not really necessary.

  • @HellFireUlisses - Apparently this video wasn't made for you... You are missing the point of this video. If you wana see the underworld got to watch National-Geo or Discovery Channel. I'm just saying...

  • @balijerome "Art for art's sake is an empty phrase. Art for the sake of truth, art for the sake of the good and the beautiful, that is the faith I am searching for."

    - George Sand

So yeah, maybe Discovery channel will do then.

  • @HellFireUlisses - Please stop trying to be a "smart ass"... I apology but you are still missing the point. The main subjects of this video are just extreme sport, free diving... But since you are lost, looking for citations from French authors and the two main topics of this video doesn't seem to interesting you. What are you doing here? I'm just saying...

  • @balijerome what im doing here? i was here probably searching for a song, saw the video, made a comment, then people never stopped replying, so what im doing here now? replying comments back. I was agreing you with about missing the point of this video, so its my turn to ask you to stop trying to make me sound wrong, i don't like the same things you do.

  • @HellFireUlisses - I wasn't aware of the fact that you did agree with me about missing the point of the vid. My bad. Peace!

  • the music is obnoxious

  • Balls of steel...

  • How does he stabilize his ears?

  • how can you dive so deep without popping your eardrums?

  • 1:50 about to enter a surreal dream world, stoner hallucination status

  • respect...

  • could smb please tell the name fof the song ! =)

  • @ebaturo YOU MAKE ME FEEL by ARCHIVE

  • SUCH A DREAM!!!

  • Français sont cool! la musique est très approprié!

  • Comment removed

  • Nowhere it says that he reached the bottom. He is world champion so we know the guy can dive in apne but this is not a competition. I think some might be missing the point of this video = ART.

It is a awesome movie with a fantastic athlete, great filming and cool music.

  • @gamana123 absolutely!! Loved it - it made me feel just like skydive vid - but softer :-)

  • Excellent...

  • Absolutely THRILLING!!!

  • crazy, unbelievable and beautiful. Best video I have seen in a long time.

  • your lungs are like no other....

you make me feel.... quick, call the doctor!

  • surreal experience to watch

  • Is there a ledge about 50m down in Deans Blue Hole? if you look at the very edge of the picture at 2.46min it kind of looks like the floor finishes + would explain how he gets the "landing on the floor" and climb shots.

I agree with finswim01 aswell, this definitely inspires like no other free dive video

  • COOOOL...........

  • Very well constructred video. I don't think any over video has captured an essence and wonder of freediving in such a dramatic way. Well done guys.

  • how deep is this?

  • @canofmonster 202 meter

  • one of the best videos in youtube!!!

  • If he holds air in his lungs how come he's sinking without any effort?

  • @xuanlamnguyentang Because he's weighted for the filming of this video.

  • @xuanlamnguyentang hes wearing scuba diving weights

  • @xuanlamnguyentang some people can sink, some people can float. I'm a sinker actually

  • WOW, what a video!

For the song, I could just proof that shazam really works. ;-)

The song is from "Archive" and called "You make me feel"

  • Amazing!!! I only tried scuba diving but this is even cooler!!

  • @zagorec92

The one in the gulf of Mexico is filled in with oil nab I'm just kidding but great video

  • So how long was he holding his breath cuz if that was all just on one breath damn

  • Wow! makes me wanna get into freediving! awesome vid indeed! thanks.

  • First class athlete all the way. Fantastic video showing how the body can be pushed along with splendid natural beauty.

  • Lungs made of iron

  • A.W.E.S.O.M.E vid!!!

  • fake I don#t think so, there is a montage sure, because he has no watch at the beginning and you can see at 2:14 he has one. so I believe he did it but not in just one videoshot....

  • @TheSexyfruits

they filmed the whole fall during 4 days and yes, it's a montage of many scences, because no normal man is able to do this with one breath

  • @xXxModthuNxXx But how did David Blaine pull it off in front of so many people?

  • insane^^

  • @MsRammstein09a what do you mean its fake , he has the record at freediving ,

  • @MsRammstein09 They aren't claiming that it was filmed on one take. There are multiple camera angles, and they say it was shot by one person. What does that tell you? Of course it's edited together from footage shot on multiple dives. A child can see that. I mean, what the fuck? What's your point?

    "Fake!"

    Jesus Christ.

Great going, Inspector Oblivious, you cracked the case and missed the obvious. YouTube is now safer. You'll be running the squad in no time!

  • brutal!

  • WOW!!!

  • marvelous video.

  • hoo boy^^, amazing video, good song choice, and epic performance by Guillaume ^^, just pure awesome ^^

  • @williamwogan Sorry just saying it is possible, that's all. Those who say it is fake i'm curious to see why they think so.

  • I think a magnificent expression, calls to mind Jacques Mayol.

  • why does he sink without moving his legs or arms???

  • @ruzan10 If he use his muscles, it will need oxygen for it to works ( cellular respiration ) And he kind of needs oxygen lol.

  • @ruzan10 it all depends on the pressure inside ur body, if u can control by increasing it, then u are able to sink without kicking into the water

  • fantastic video...too bad that human kind can't hold breath for 202 metres and back...but great shots...just one notice - this is not the deepest hole in the world, the deepest is in the Gulf of Mexico (335 metres) but i don't know the name of it

  • @zagorec92 theres actually a deeper one, off the coast of Belize. I believe it was 350 meters deep. And if you know im talking about, correct me if im wrong.

  • @OhGeeNoHp i searched on wikipedia and it says the deepest one is in the gulf of mexico...but wikipedia isn't perfect...i would like to know where did you get this information for that hole

  • @zagorec92 I actually got that from my marine biology professor. Weather or not hes correct is just speculation. I guess that depends on his source of information.

  • @zagorec92 books

  • Love this...awesome

What's the sound track in it that plays well to the vid...

  • why would anyone give this a "thumbs down"... seriously?

  • No this is real. it's been documented the only fake thing is that he didn't reach the bottom. And its free diving. They use circular breathing technique to hold their breath that long and their not supposed to let air bubbles escape. Also it's not hard at all to fight buoyancy without moving your arms try swimming in a 12 foot pool without treading and you'll find that very quickly unless you naturally have a high buoyancy point

  • he has a weight on his back anyway. you won't just sink like that naturally..especially with air in your lungs

  • hey has a weight on his back. you can't just sink like that naturally..especially with air in your lungs. my guess is the weight is proportional to the buoyancy that the air in his lungs would have if that weight wasn't there.

  • @goukaoni strange watch the weight on divers back in some of the shots is missing

  • @goukaoni Lol sorry I ask but can you tell me more about the technique of bouyancy? I just started free diving and find that very cool :)

  • @goukaoni i know its fake and i agree with you but where did you find the news about it? do you have a link to the news? cause i remember reading it somewhere

  • its not real. there are no air bubbles escaping his mouth or nose, and when your lungs are filled with air you cant sink. you would float to the top. and seeing as that he doesnt use his arms to propell himself downward you can tell its fake

  • @rastaman082 notice the weight belt...

  • @rastaman082 theres something called, body pressure, only some ppl are able to control their body pressure

  • Really cool video.

  • @williamwogan Not the place for a cry of attention, please stfu. Ever hear of freediving?

Sweet video, thanks for the post.

  • GREAT VIDEO F'en nuts if it's all real

  • This guy is so at-one with the water.... wouldn't be surprised if he had gills!

  • It is actually the second deepest to Tamaulipas, Mexico's Zacatón (335 m deep)

  • Does anyone know the info on this song!?

  • @Beatleschick1

Not totaly fake. He didn't reach the bottom (he said it himself, he also said no one could without any equipment at least). It took them days to make this footage. But it is awsome

  • " He did go amazingly deep though"

    AND.......Boom goes the dynomite!

  • fogholadeh

  • very nice vidoe - MORE

GONNA TRY THAT, but with a 100 pound stone so i sink faster!!!

  • Alright so for people wondering, this is real, the video consists of different shots from a period of 4 days of filming (according to yahoo) But yahoo also says he didn't reach the bottom of the near 638 feet deep plunge, and never claimed he did, he himself stated that was impossible. He did go amazingly deep though, just not all the way. This video was very well put together, the music is bad ass and it all just flows.

  • i wish i could do that!!!!!!

  • holy shyt thats a suicide mission for me

  • The hole is 200+ ms deep. too deep for even the best freedivers, this is not something decided by skill either, instead it is simple physics that prohibit someone from reaching the bottom. I reckon he reached a ledge at 60-70 ms. the editing makes this vid seem longer than it is, but only by 30 seconds or so. its still a 3:30 min breath! This still makes for one of the best videos i've seen in a while, but its a promotional stunt rather than an outright feat of human extraordinariness.

  • @jake2279 Lol, epic description :D

And thats something awesome about video you can make anything look diffrent!

  • This wasn't a single dive, the video was done over 4 afternoons of diving, and he doesn't imply that he reached the bottom of the sinkhole, he even states that nobody will ever reach the bottom, it's too deep, the video was made to show the feeling of freediving and give people a perspective of what he gets out of it, hence the song, still the guy is unbelievably amazing at what he does

  • into the void

  • any one kno how long he held his breath for?

  • Fantastique

  • Music is: ARCHIVE (you make me feel) London Lounge

  • actually i take it backNery's own world record was 109m, with a fin to take him the first/last 25m from the surface vs Dean Blue Hole which is 212m and becomes 100m wide cavern at the bottom =he started and base jumped into it, but didn't land and climb out again on one breath. i still would like to see a video of "making the video" though...

    and it is epic

  • The free dive is obviously real/possible, the world record is deeper than that hole. can any tell me how they filmed it though i.e. where the divers on nitrox or pure air/did they use a robot?

  • @MrZuludemidog its one breath but shot over 4 or 5 runs in order to get the different angles. I reckon the actual dive is around 3 mins 30. the edit draws it out somewhat.

  • @thaiboxer16 Obviously I can't, since its not possible...

  • @TheRealArtinz btw dude he never said he reached the bottom this is some stunt video or another took a couple days to make im sure but he holds the record of 106 meters thats about ehh id say 300+ feet so to get to 3 or 400 feet id say its possible but to the bottom of this helllll fucking no unless he wants to tie weights to his feet and possibly die a very painful death

  • Not sure how he goes down without equalising, does he have ear drums? Yeah, the weight belt takes him down. This probably took two minutes to shoot, good editing though, nice clip.

  • Wow.

@TheRealArtinz, @froggyking15... before you speak, do research. Its called free-diving, and it is real.

Through breathing exercises, a person can learn how to optimize the amount of oxygen they take in. Its a matter of deep breathing. Oh, and that one really deep breath you take before you try to swim across a pool... its useless. Try taking a number of deep relaxed breaths, then swim back and forth across the pool under water a few times.

  • @joem32 And you're right, I should have done my research, its 663 ft deep, not 412 ft deep. Its absolutely impossible to survive under the pressure of 663 ft of water. All of his organs would implode. I know freediving is real, but this is not.

  • @joem32 Well, actually, the real trick is slowing your heart rate down. Free divers train with breathing exercises to slow their heart rate down so that they don't use as much oxygen, thus making these crazy dives possible.

  • Once and for all, is this real?

  • @harveyandshannon why cant it be real.........?

  • Someone help me here please. Is this some sort of magic hole that has a force that pulls you down? I saw no propulsion whatsoever from the swimmer. If I dive into my swimming pool I bob right back up to the surface unless I actually fight and swim my way towards the bottom. Am I missing something here?

  • @DETURD

    lead weight belt

  • @DETURD He's wearing diving belt weights, you can see it on his backside I think.

  • @DETURD... The air spaces in the body become compressed after one or two amtospheres of pressure (33 ft per at) so the body becomes nuetrally buoyuant and sgravity takes over even in water, of course.Free fall will commense.

  • @DETURD he has some weigh bag on his belt

  • holy shit how does he hold his breath that long

  • that was amazing-watching it i felt like i had to hold my breath! Gawsh, it must've felt soooo good coming up and breathingggg, that be so cool to try :)

  • jesus its looks like theres something hiding down there ready to grab you up

  • Wicked cool.

  • this was awesome. I live less than a mile from this blue hoe and this entire clip is beyond epic. Everything just works out perfectly. Congrats to Guillaume Nery. Oh Yeah I hope he comes back next year to defend his record during the next free dive competition.

  • That was just awesome!

  • Loved the underwater climb.

  • the music amazing P. who is it?

  • cool P. i feel you!

  • Insane -Barbados

  • Amazing endurance, well done Guillaume!

  • that was realy cool

  • come on people, it's all in the description !

Music: ARCHIVE - you make me feel.

  • @Goldtop23 the track is somewhat dreamy and hypnotic.. very nice. thanks for sharing

  • @Goldtop23 Doesn't that shit drive ya crazy? Although, I admit, I've done it too.

  • trying 2 figure out da song 2

  • 1. how the hell did he hold his breath? i fast forward it a couple times but every time i did i never saw him breath. and 2. just like what jtin28 said,i would be scared shitless to do that

  • id be scared shitless to do that

  • Very cool clip, trippy! Trying to find out who the song is by. Any help?

  • @dirtnap71 Take a look at the subbar. Seriously.

  • fuckin awesome i wanna do that

  • nice. I wonder at what depth the pressure inside human body becomes less than the pressure in the water.

  • @raazstone 12 inches, That's why they don't make 2 foot long snorkels. because you can't pull sea level air into your lungs that are pressurized even 1/30th of an atmosphere.

  • i want do something like that

  • love this!!

  • french rule freediving, that was absolutely awesome, i felt like i couldn't breathe

  • woooow
