no offense, but i always noticed that the dances in CEBU festivals can never survive without relying so much on props thus, making the dance itself less effective and making it more like a props dance.

It only means we really have enough budget.Whenever we make festivals we make sure that it will be nice and not just a mediocre one. Props has always been one of the components in festival dancing.Its ok to use props as long as u execute it properly and its relevant to the them of the dance. did you know that in this contest, the jingle (recorded jingle) was to be used?but thanks for the reminder, the native sound is for the aliwan and sinulog, but for this contest "pasigarbo sa sugbo", it's the jingle or the "recorded sounds" as you may say, is supposed to be used...
the native sound doesn't come in here. the matter is, DANCING WITHOUT THE USE OF PROPS. stick to the argument. see, hindi rin masagot. even if the jingle is used, you could still produce quality dance without relying too much on props.

SINULOG 2010 will celebrate its 30th anniversary and as of now their are already 18 out-of-town participants who confirmed in joining SINULOG 2010. SFI expects to have atleast 50 CONTINGENTS for this years grand mardigras and a bigger crowd too compared to last years 5 million people who watch SINULOG.
Let me remind u that CEBU won as grand champion 3x in a row in ALIWAN, & behind BUYOGANS choreography and music are also CEBUANOS. So they have 5 months of practice from now until january? you are korek renjTV, the dancers were not that good.. no choreography.. sa costume lng gidaug kay naa man sa dagat pero totality per performance dili man jud nindot.. mas lami ang dancers sa SIBONGA hataw tanan with changing position always and nice choreography as well.. hayag lang ang costume sa PALAWOD. Nice ra ang sugod kay barko akong nakita mao rato naka dala ug effect.... others hmmmmmmmm...

Sa ALIWAN puro HAKOT ang mgatao. When i was there back in 2006 i remember puro ILONGGO ang nanonood hakot galing iloilo. I saw how dey reacted with the results when CEBU SINULOG won for the very first time. 3years later its always CEBU who wins aliwan and become a hall of famer. ILONGGO'S are just so hungry to snatch up the aliwan title from us. Sad to say they miserably failed.Hahaha kaya to you kairyland In order for 2010 not a disappointing year for u. Better start practicing as early as now

Lol every week nagmomonitor ang commitee upang hindi magback-out ang mga tribes. Kasi pano ang liit ng budget wla pan nanonood wla na silang ganang sumali. Sa SINULOG may elimination round kami so no need to monitor & besides its hard to monitor as much as 50+ contingents. Which im sure ILOILO DINAGYANG can never achieved such number of participants. Hehehe infact this year as far as i know 9 pa lang yata ang confirmed na sasali. Kawawa namany nyan baka next year 3 nalang hahaha.

SINULOG 2009 attracted 5 MILLION spectators according to the estimate of PNP. All hotels and resorts of CEBU are fully booked every JANUARY for SINULOG FESTIVAL. Also tourist from more than 50 countries come to witness SINULOG last year according to Airport officials. As a result CEBU is the number 1 tourist destination in the country. Walang nananood sa DINAGYANG if meron man pakontikonti lang. Common site na kasi ang taong grasa sa pilipinas sa iloilo lahat nangaling lol.

Lol wla kasi kayong budget para gumawa nang props sus! palusot pa kayo! Mabuti pa magpractice na kayo sa dinagyang niyo kawawa naman linalangaw lang ang festivals ninyo wlang gustong sumali. Lol! by the way 18 out-of-towm contingents from luzon, visayas and mindanao have already confirmed to join sinulog. the organizers expect to have atleast 50 contingents participating this years in celebrating the 30TH year of the BIGGEST & GRANDEST FESTIVAL in ASIA and thats SINULOG.

Duh what matters most is who has the better and nicer costume. Obvious naman ang palawod noh; para ngang basahan ang costume ng KASAG; so dry. Ayusin nyo naman ang paggawa ng costumes and props niyo wag masyadong magpahalata na sikip kayo sa budget. Lol! How stupid of u dito ka nagkakalat sa video ng PALAWOD to promote you mediocre KASAG FESTIVAL. No one is interested withyour festivals kasi kayang kayang talunin yan sa lahat ng pumasok ng top 10 sa pasigarbo.Lol!

It only means we really have enough budget.Whenever we make festivals we make sure that it will be nice and not just a mediocre one. Props has always been one of the components in festival dancing.Its ok to use props as long as u execute it properly and its relevant to the them of the dance. Cebu FESTIVALS have always been proven to be effective infact we always won the national competitions. S

uhmmmppp..hey people..for me this was the best yet created festival iv ever seen in my entire life..iv seen videos from other festivals in the country and this is something to boast..i love the creativity of the dance...this is very likable and worth remmbering..keep up..

did you know that in this contest, the jingle (recorded jingle) was to be used?but thanks for the reminder, the native sound is for the aliwan and sinulog, but for this contest "pasigarbo sa sugbo", it's the jingle or the "recorded sounds" as you may say, is supposed to be used...

the native sound doesn't come in here. the matter is, DANCING WITHOUT THE USE OF PROPS. stick to the argument. see, hindi rin masagot. even if the jingle is used, you could still produce quality dance without relying too much on props.

Mahalai is a bitter ILONGGO who hav always hated CEBU for the fact that we beat them 3x in a row in ALIWAN. lol! Watchout for PALAWOD in ALIWAN 2010 better practice and be ready coz itwould surely be a tough competition next year. Just admit it when it comes to FESTVAL cebu is the best. Pasigarbo has already gained popularity even more bigger than dinagyanG! LOOSER!

At tsaka its ok to use props if u have budget kung wlang budget ginagawang defense mechanism ang props. Lol! Lol ok lang hehee wla rin naman mananood dyan nakakadiri panoorin ang mga baklang naka t-back na nagbhis warriors super redundant kumekembot pa hahaa. SINULOG 2010 will celebrate its 30th anniversary and as of now their are already 18 out-of-town participants who confirmed in joining SINULOG 2010. SFI expects to have atleast 50 CONTINGENTS for this years grand mardigras and a bigger crowd too compared to last years 5 million people who watch SINULOG.

Let me remind u that CEBU won as grand champion 3x in a row in ALIWAN, & behind BUYOGANS choreography and music are also CEBUANOS. So they have 5 months of practice from now until january? Common! lol! I really hope DINAGYANG tribes will grow in numbers. Kawawa naman kung 10 lang ang sasali. Anyways keep practicing until next ALIWAN see u then nalang hahaha! Good luck!

We will see nlang! hehehe Im sure Palawod Costumes and props would be excellent and colorful enough to outshine ur props. Alangan naman magdala rin nang colorful starfish, fishes at corals ang dinagyang. LOL! Limited lang kayo sa shield, bamboo stick, feathers and risers hahaha. Un like palawod we can make use of all underwater creatures and make it very interesting & colorful. hahaha Kitakits na lang ciao! Ur welcome I hope u will start practicing as early as now para may challenge nman kayo!

@ sperkick: THE JUDGES HAVE SPOKEN, "ang Palawod gyud ang nakadaog"....so it means, nindot ang OVER-ALL production. Maayu lang gyud ang Teamwork gyud sa Palawod! Makita man sad nato sa choreo sa dance & the dancers themselves, the craftsmanship of the artists and designers.
Di na lang ta mu angal...
In fairness to all the contingents, they made their best man sad....and they are all great....
